I’ve had my hair cut by both Ethan and Dav and both are exceptional. They give you what you ask for and provide a nice environment for the thirty minutes i’m there. I highly recommend getting a cut by either one. Both 5 stars!

5 for the Cigar Shop2 for the BarbershopI stopped by the Village Cigar Company & Barbershop in Guelph. It's a really interesting shop and I picked up one of their hoodies to add to my branded collection. The Cigar store guy was really helpful and showed me around all the different types, brands and sizes of cigars in their walk-in humidor. They also have straight and safety razor shaving supplies and a small assortment of pipes. A great resource for the tobacco junky in your life!<Engage Rant>I also had my beard trimmed which was a less successful endeavour. I asked for a trim at the sides of my beard line to tidy it up as well as a clean-up of my neck area. Ethan, my barber, asked if it was okay to tidy up the sticking out hairs on my beard to clean up the line and I said sure. He also asked if I wanted a 'fade' on the sideburns to blend it into the shaved top which I declined. I reinforced I didn't want himt o take off any length. This is just to be a trim.Can you see where this is going?Turns out I have a beard with fades at the sides and those sticky out hairs? Those were the square corners of my beard which is now rounded-off like every other beard on the street instead of uniquely squared like MY beard. He also removed about 1/3 of the length in the process.I now have a nicely conventional, boring beard that looks kind of like Ethan's own. Kind of like the guy in the cigar shop's own. Possibly like every beard trim Ethan provides.He finished off by offering to spritz me with some aftershave which I declined even as he was spritzing me with their barbershop aftershave. <sigh>If you're looking for cigars and cigar supplies this is a great place. If you're looking for a beard trim I'm afraid I can't recommend the place. I should be back to my former bearded glory in about 2 months' time by my estimation.

I had my hair cut and styled by Ethan at the barbershop and I am so grateful for the experience! He is very skilled at what he does and incredibly attentive to what look I was going for. The environment was very comfortable and traditional. I chose to come here because I felt like the staff would understand how to give me the 40's cut that I was seeking and I couldn't have been more right. The staff are very personable and are lovely people to talk to! I left with so much joy and confidence and can't wait to come back. I feel very happy with way I look now!

I’m a cigar lover and rate the Guelph Village Cigar highly. That said, the shopping experience is amazing due to Peter, the exceptional and highly knowledgeable manager. The place wouldn’t be the same without him. 5 stars.

I have frequented the shop, many times, and I am quite a fan of the chain in general. Are used to frequent the Oakville location, as well as the (Burlington) location, but this one is now the closest to my home.Many of the times I’ve been in, I have been helped by Peter, who is the superlative when it comes to answering questions. Always a great experience, I am very fond of his expertise as well as his help.Today, as well, I got to meet Stephanie, who, when my hair grows back in, I will have to put to work. ????
