Avoid on Sundays. Employees were nowhere to be found for any assistance.
The lovely woman at the cash called for customer service to the specific isle I was in twice over 20 minutes and no one showed. Finally found someone who admittedly said it wasn’t there department. I was just needing help with where the fitting was located on the display shelf. Didn’t even look and just said “if there’s less than 5 in stock, we probably don’t have it”.

Was just here to purchase wall paneling, couldn't find it on the floor so went looking for assistance. Eric took the initiative to approach me offering his help. Pleasant to chat with, was able to locate the product and put the extra effort in to obtain the boxes from higher shelf. Brought it to the cash and loaded it on the cart. Awesome service from the whole team at the Waterdown location. Extra bonus they had a bucket of Halloween candy they were giving out! Thanks for a great experience!

****MANAGEMENT MUST READ THIS****
Just tried to return a DeWalt too belt suspenders with my receipt. The person at customer service said I needed the original packaging. You mean the paper and zip ties that tied the product together? I ever asked to show her where I bought the product. She was to lazy to do so. I didn't but this product thinking I was going to return it. I was going to use the product so I didn't think I needed to keep the paper and zip ties.
I left before taking to a manager cause I was already losing my cool.
I will be going back and will be speaking with management about this.

If no stars should be an option. Place is in chaos and extremely poor service.

My experience processing a return with customer service was unpleasant. It felt like everyone hated their job. I'm not keen to repeat that experience and went elsewhere to purchase my items.

The store is less crowded and is clean. The store sells all the stuff that is available in other Rona’s. Good clearance available in lots of items.

Experienced the worst customer service at Rona in Waterdown to date when visiting the plumbing section on Tuesday August 6th 2024 @1:30pm. An older lady with glasses asked if I needed any help, to which I replied yes. I continued by saying that I have a shower leak and need to replace the main coupler within. She rambled on about replacing entire assembly and individual cartridges based on her experiences. She was very condescending to speak with and I was too nice to walk away. Got to the point where I had specifically said that I am an electrician by trade, not a plumber. To which she replied by saying well "Electrician's are generally smarter". I thought to myself, what exactly are you implying? That was rude! Know the facts, before you judge someone, let alone a paying customer. Stormed out of there with nothing in hand.

The employees here are always helpful when I asked. My beef is that all the checkouts are self serve. Its can’t be to lower prices as I have gone to other locations and the prices are the same but they have cashiers.
They had 2 people over seeing the self checkouts, why not have one open as a regular checkout.
I’ll not shop here again.

After online purchase of an appliance with a great discount, waited over month and a half with no constructive updates from staff on the whereabouts or even estimated time of arrival at Rona Warehouse. Excuses such as, employees don’t want to work, it’s on back order, manufacturer does not have the estimated availability and so on. My experience felt as if Rona did everything possible to force me to walk away from the purchase. Experienced disappointment and frustration and in the end walked away and asked for the refund which they did with lightning speed.

I recently had an unfortunate encounter at the RONA Home & Garden store in Waterdown. My frustration stems from their refusal to honour the 1-year return policy, which another RONA store had provided for a plant I purchased less than a year ago.
The customer service representative, Eva I dealt with was not only unhelpful but also shockingly rude. Instead of acknowledging the issue, she shifted blame onto me, suggesting that the plant’s issue was my fault. As a loyal customer who has spent thousands of dollars at RONA, I expected better treatment.
While I understand that individual stores may have different policies, it’s disheartening that they don’t adhere to a corporate-wide standard. RONA should prioritize customer satisfaction and invest in fostering loyalty. If Eva represents Rona’s customer service policy, Rona is very shortsighted, especially in today’s economic climate, in failing to recognize the long-term value of customer relationship and I will endeavour to source other competitors that can provide the quality and service that is expected.
