TLDR; not ideal for plus sized ladies.
I did not love my experience here this past weekend. I read the reviews and thought they were exaggerating but I had my own less than ideal shopping experience.
I am considered a plus sized bridge (size 14, but size 16-18 in most bridal dresses) and the selection of plus sized dresses here is limited. I only found one in the style I was looking for, though I tried on a few that were safer. My group pulled some sample 14s/12s because I loved the style (elegant, sleek, contemporary) but I couldn’t get the 12s over my hips. When going through the dresses I pulled after that, the consultant passively said “I’m just going to put these samples away because they’re in the size that didn’t work for you.” It honestly ruined my mood and the experience of wedding dress shopping with my family. It’s already embarrassing enough trying clothing on in front of other people, and strangers next to you; but I don’t need comments on my size announced to the store. There are better plus sized options in Hamilton and I would avoid here if you’re larger than a dress size 14. The consultants are not particularly well trained and although other places make you pay for appointments, usually the consultant has a fashion background which makes it a better appointment.

What an amazing experience! I went with my sister, and we were treated like royalty from the moment we walked in. The variety of dresses was stunning, and the service was impeccable.

Our daughter recently bought her two dresses at Heirlooms Shoppe and she was so happy. With a very knowledgeable sales staff she said yes to her dress and they did alternations there as well ( not too many stores doing that)
The overall experience was 5 star
I think its one of the best Bridal stores in Ontario !

After visiting 2 bridal shops before going to Heirlooms I did have a #1 dress which I loved When I first walked in I thought I could not afford one of these beautiful gowns We showed Felice my #1 dress from the previous shop and she was honest that it would be hard to match that dress and price Felice was able to find some beautiful dresses in my budget but they did not top my #1 There was one dress left to try and my daughter and I decided I wasn’t going to try it on but Felice said let’s try the last one with long sleeves It was my dress with everything I originally wanted Felice really knows her dresses She made me feel so comfortable and even though I had a small budget she was able to check all my boxes including budget I said yes to the dress at Heirlooms Bridal Shop Thank you for the great experience Felice!

I will forever cherish my experience at Heirlooms! From the day I chose my dress to all the alteration appointments with Susan, everything was PERFECT. It added so much joy to my overall bridal experience! The alterations surpassed all expectations and the dress fit me like a glove. I had so many people tell me it was the prettiest dress they had ever seen, including strangers! 10/10 recommend coming here for your wedding dress.

Poor customer service. I called Sat to inquire about a designer dress if they have it in the store to try it on to order. A lady picked up the phone and she said she will call back when they have a minute. Two days now and I never heard from anyone in the store. I am dropping the store from my list!

I experienced such wonderful customer service today from Felicia. She helped me find dresses in my budget and was so kind and attentive. She went out of her way to help me when I arrived without an appointment and made me feel welcome and taken care of. I'm very grateful that I stopped by.

The lack of customer service or even care from the consultant was disgusting. She couldn’t even be bothered to pin the dresses so they fit appropriately. If you are looking for a personal, tailored experience this is not your place.
I’ve visited two other boutiques in the GHA which set my expectations high, but Heirlooms dropped the ball on every level.

This is an amazing bridal store! The sales associates are extremely helpful and make you feel so comfortable. The whole atmosphere is welcoming!!! I would highly recommend Heirlooms to any bride or someone looking for a prom dress or mother of the bride!!

My beautiful wedding dress came from this store. I was so fortunate to have Suzanne as my seamstress. She paid close attention to my requests with my dress, and she executed the work flawlessly. My dress fit like a glove, every bride's dream.
The whole team at Heirloom's made every single visit for my fittings a blast, their sense of humour and support were so beautiful. When my mom and I left the last day with my dress, we said our thank yous and it almost felt emotional, that's how grateful we were for these women and the service they provide.
Highly recommend using this local shoppe for your wedding needs. I wish I could go back and do it all over again, just to work with this team again.

I got my wedding dress from Heirlooms. My first experience was so fun, I brought my mom, mother in law and best friend and it was such an awesome day! Today I went back for my fitting, I had Susan working with me and she was fantastic. I had second thoughts about my veil I had ordered, and she worked with me to alter the veil to EXACTLY what I wanted so I wouldn’t lose my deposit! She was so nice and my mom and I had such a great time. She got me excited about the big day. Couldn’t have hoped for a better dress shopping experience!!
