I ordered a pair of shorts in my size at the Bracebridge location from a different store. When I picked them up the young workers pointed out that they had a small stain and offered a 10% discount. I refused and asked if they could find another pair from a different location. No problem they found them and ordered them for me. Thanks for being honest. Lots of other stores wouldn’t have done that.

Drove here from Toronto to buy a Columbia jacket that was sold out everywhere else. We originally went to the Huntsville store on March 17th and they said this location (Bracebridge) had it in stock. The Huntsville store called this location and they confirmed they had it and that they’d wait for us to get there despite us likely arriving a few minutes late. We drove 30 minutes to Bracebridge and arrived at 4:01PM and this location closes at 4:00pm. We called them and the employee working refused to let us buy it. I understand they close at 4:00PM but we wouldn’t have driven from Toronto and then an additional 30 minutes to Bracebridge if we knew they’d be so stringent and rude. This isn’t how you gain or retain customers and I definitely won’t be purchasing from Algonquin Outfitters again.

just tried to visit Algonquin Outfitters in Bracebridge after a camping trip up North (we are from Barrie Area). The town was very busy with no parking on the street so I thought that I could park where the Algonquin Outfitters vehicle was parked and it would be just fine for a 5-10 min visit. But we were intercepted by two men asking if we worked there? being passive aggressive because it is an exclusive parking for the building saying "I will pass it only for today but just so you are aware". The sign said something like "exclusive parking for _address_" nothing related to employees only. I'm just a tourist trying to visit the shop but it felt like Bracebridge residents are either fed up with lost people like me who are just trying to find parking or just racist ? ended up getting back in the car and leaving after being nagged like that. didn't even get to check the shop. never coming back to Bracebridge.

We bought a canoe from them and the seat broke halfway through our first trip. When buying it we were told everything was is great working condition. I called the store and they said it is our responsibility to fix the canoe. We were completely mislead into thinking we were buying a quality boat. The rivets attaching the seat to the canoe completely snapped and are now stuck in the holes. It will not be a fix. We are very disappointed. Buyer beware!!!

Best customer service in town. Rented SUPs and all went well. reasonable prices on gear we needed for our trip. Highly recommended if you are looking for an outfitter in the Muskoka area.

For its prime location, the prices are quite reasonable. We picked up a lot of really high quality items. The staff is really personable and friendly!

zerowe are local customers for years, supporting local even at higher costs , throughout the pandemic and today my four year old son had to go to the bathroom he would have had an accident , he was upset and no washroom is even close on the street.I have been offered the washroom when buying a large item before.was about to buy 300 ski pants . had bought over 700 at Christmas they know me I know themwe went in quick my husband stayed at the cash o thought he asked to use it.when I came out the manager said don't use out washroom again.taken aback I said the above and I thought he knew . my son is four was about to have an accident in the store he said doesn't matter I'm not going to argue with you don't do it agsin you could have asked I said I thought my husband did he shrugged.I said I'm repeat customer no one's in the store he's four he's was going to have and accident, the manager shruggedI said we have duppprted you for years , I will not be back due to your treatment of our son and us.if you are local or have children please do not support this store.

Andrew is great. He help me pick a great fishing kayak. I emailed him saying what I would like and my budget and he had exactly what I wanted. He also made arrangements that the kayak would be ready for pick up in a location closer my home.
