I've had some time to think, consider, and conclude; First time they took my car in right away short notice, nice! . Replaced alternator and battery. Great! A day later car wouldn't start. Come to find spark plugs were shot.Alternator, battery and spark plugs all shot at the same time.. hmm ok. Anyway So, now, I've been to enough shops to know they call before doing work to ensure you know the price, time, severity. Both times it was done without any informing beforehand. The spark plug replacement really got to me because it was over $200. And before I could really say anything I was told that they didn't get paid for it till a month later or something? I don't think your customer should be made to feel weird about your earnings.I believe I could have done sparks for a fraction of the cost.I forgot I was a little stunned in the moment to say much about it but clearly it's been bothering me.They said they ran my car for an hour after doing so to make sure the problem was solved and so when I left I started driving and once I hit the highway my car was jolting hard and my engine light was flashing and I thought my car was going to break down because it wouldn't go over like 70km , no power! so I called them and went back and asked them did they even take it for a test drive? Nopers!! Which again to my knowledge every other mechanic that I've been to would simply take a car for a test drive after they do work on it....I assume old dirty crap or gas needed to be blown out of it, fine, all is okay now. They offered some fuel cleaner I added in.Now mind you, conversation was going really well at the front, was learning some stuff about cars.. I waited until I see my car pull up in the front by the front door at 4:52 p.m. and asked if they were done for the day , I could leave it there if need be but I knew it was 5:00 p.m. and that's when they close and before I could even finish they said "ahhh no see, this is why we don't allow or like customers in the front because they ask too many questions while the guys are playing on the computer to come up with answers and working in the back, let them do their job yadda yadda".. ?! (Plus more)In NO way was I close to deserving that tone. At all.Sorry I gave a sh!t for your "guys" clocking out in time. But if my car is in the front with no one around it I assume that it's going to be finished , at least for the day. Sorry for asking about MY car. You can rinse me out 800$ easily but don't dare ask questions eh.So,1. Show more compassion to the customer who is usually barely getting by and scared.2. Call your customer and inform them of the work before going all in!!3. Oh yeah, don't forget to call them when it's done. (Was in the area with my buddy and decided to stop in but it was done already for who knows how long )

The first time is forgiveable, 2nd time, I find a new place, there's lots out there that does winter tire change. When you show up at scheduled appointment and the receptionist happens to know your name,(I only go once a year) and your new time, without looking you up, you know she has changed your appt and didnt bother to contact you. Then she blamed me! She was on speaker phone when my husband and I logged the time on our phones. I understand that appointments have to be rescheduled, but be honest, lying (and not good at it) makes the business look bad.

Fantastic service, honest mechanics and reasonably priced. One of the best repair shops in Barrie, especially for anything wheel related.

They never actually got the chance to work on my car because they were very busy, however, I believe this shop is very honest and mostly likely very good at what they do.My car ended up blowing a coolant hose and leaking all of its coolant out which led it to being towed to one of the shops down the street. Both shops had no time for me but I was offered as much advice as they could give from B&K and when I finally fixed the problem myself they were kind enough to give me some coolant so that I could drive to buy some more. The other shop charged me out the a** for a couple of hose clamps and 5 minutes of labor.I'm very thankful to this shop for helping to get me home in the middle of a 6 hour drive where I was stranded in Barrie.

The best place for honest straight forward talk! Tell you straight up, no bs no letting something go if it needs attention but also highlight what can wait.By far the best mechanic I've used in many a year.
