It took a week for someone to respond to my inquiry and then was promised another person would contact me the following week to set up an appointment. it has been two weeks and crickets. I do NOT recommend Barrie Glass and Mirror…if this is how terrible their customer service starts off with I can only imagine how bad the rest of their services would be. Zero stars would be more apt.

3 months for two screens and the installer has ridiculous commenrs on why do you need screens in the winter… would never recommend this company to anyone.

I ordered a glass to be made for my coffee table I paid 97.18$ for glass 19 by 9 and 3,,8 I drove from Midland 4 weeks later and picked up glass that didn't fit.I called Holly at Barrie glass and we measured glass,she had the right measurements,but they mad glass to big she told me to bring glass back and they would order new one,at there cost because it was there mistake, I bought glass back on Friday,she then said they are allowed to get it wrong she had advised them to go smaller not bigger but they didn't,she advised me that she know the industry, I sure don't! She said not her problem now she was not paying,We are now getting new glass made from new company,they said Barrie glass did it wrong,with right measurements we are disputing charge on our credit card,still drove there numerous times from Midland, very poor customer service, not reputable,be smart when you are buying glass,read reviews, we should have

Barrie Glass is a great local business that did an excellent job replacing our showroom glass after the originals (not installed by Barrie Glass btw) became discoloured and failed. The sales staff were responsive and thorough and the installers were professional and courteous. Not only was the price and quality very competitive, the service we received was top notch. Not helpful at all. Ended up going to Lake Simcoe on Bell Farm road, who were great, even turned my order around 2 days earlier than expected.

I had contacted this company, because our house pet had damaged our sliding glass door screen. The receptionist said she would call me, when they could come and pick it up for repair. While I was at work the next day, they came and picked up the screen while my wife was working at home. I knew nothing about it, and it was taken for repair. When I called to get an estimate for the work to be completed, it came out to close to 400 dollars. I was floored, and informed them that, the cost was prohibitive. I demanded my screen back, only to be told that I owed them 75 dollars, for the luxury of having my screen picked up in the first place. The lesson out of all of this? If you need glass or screen repairs in the Barrie area, stick to one of the "Mom and Pop" operations. This place is far too pricey, and the customer service is abysmal...

They have always delivered on time. I ordered Tempered glass plates with bevelled edges on two separate occasions, and they look great. Friendly service and very good follow up.

POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS PLEASE READ:Please do not do business with this company. It was a mistake that I will not repeat.Ordered a simple screen door on August 17th, prepaying half of the total cost.After 2 months patiently waiting for the ordering and manufacturing with no news, I called them and magically I was told that the door had ‘just arrived’ in their warehouse the same day that I called.Sure it did.I told the receptionist strictly to call me to arrange a date for the installation.Two days later, the installer showed up out of the blue with no notice and no advance courtesy phone call. I was not at the property and the door could not be installed.Now they have once again disappeared- let’s see when they will call and when I will have this door installed. I will update this review accordingly.I will complain to the Better Business Bureau regarding this business.**EDIT** NOVEMBER 13After seeing this review, the business contacted me and threatened to cancel the order if I do not delete this truthful review.An ultimatum was issued by the receptionist Holly Smith on behalf of Rick Brighton that either I delete this review or they will cancel the order and refund my deposit. Even though it is a door that they have ordered, have in stock, and have attempted to install.I replied to them if they keep my deposit out of spite, (provable through emails) it is illegal and a matter for civil court.They have since refunded my deposit.So after 3 months saga and one bad review later, they have forcefully cancelled it.Buyer beware.*Richard Brighton - install my door and I will edit this accordingly*

Barrie mirror and glass had the longest lead time of any of our contractors, were unresponsive when looking for updates and when they were supposed to do the installation, they didn’t give us any notice of when they would be at the construction site. When they arrived, their installers were professional and worked well, gave us an idea of how long it would take and were pleasant. The glass wasn’t cut to the right length so they couldn’t install the glass properly, however as with our job they were supposed to leave a very small gap between the panes and they left a really large gap and had to calk it, leaving a large line in the middle of our windows. They also calked the end of the windows against the wall which they weren’t supposed to do. One pane was so badly shut they couldn’t even put it in, they had to put in some temporary glass then come back about three weeks later. I felt very sorry for the installers for this company. If they had cut the glass right in the first place we’d have our project done right in a reasonable amount of time.
