Stay far away from this company. They are thieves and liars. I purchased a warranty and unfortunately shortly after had to use it. They're claiming that it's pre-existing issue and refused to approve my claim.

Hopefully this will make it to upper management, not that it's gonna help. I had (I say had because I canceled) an agreement with the 1st street level of warranty. Even though the shop didn't follow protocol there was a person that tried to assist me after the repair was complete and I paid for it. My issue is that because the verbiage was different the warranty didn't cover the parts or repair cost. Since Ford calls it one thing (its the LEAD frame) and consists of multiple parts Route 66 won't cover it. It's not a part you can take apart and fix the problem, it has to be replaced as a whole. I called my bank and told them I wanted to cancel and recommended they inform persons looking at signing up to be very cautious and possibly not even waste their money. Here I am $800 lighter because of wording. Also I am going onto whatever sites I can to leave a review stating what happened and why.

Had their warranty added into my car note, raised it $30 but it had a zero deductible and covered everything so it sounded good. 3 weeks into owning my truck I hear a rattle that sounds like a notorious issue the motors have. I took it to the dealership and they confirmed this, so a claim was made and the following day I was contacted, which is unusual but the probing questions Dave asked immediately led me to think he was looking for reasons to dent my claim, which he did. He said it was a pre existing problem, when in reality it literally happened during my ownership. I immediately cancelled the contract, called another company, got covered immediately and it covers even more! If this man had a backbone and if this company wasn't so spineless, he'd have told me exactly what my new company said: wait at least a month or 1,000 miles before filing a claim. They have no online presence, there's no website or app, they're literally stuck in the past. I lowered my car note because of this lack of common sense but I am grateful because my new warranty company runs circles around them. Avoid this place by any and all means!

This warranty is terrible don't waste your money. Nothing is ever covered and no direct contact to refute or ask questions as to why the will not pay. My credit union pushed on this as well. Saying they were great.... not happy with them either. Must have received some kickback.

Like many third-party extended warranty companies, this company intends to pay for nothing! When the transmission went out about 5 weeks after we purchased a used vehicle, they denied the claim saying that there is no way a transmission would go out that quickly. What??!!! Save your money! This company is worthless!!!

If I could give a negative 5 I would. Does not cover the things they say and the ones they do approve they do not even pay half the cost. Do not purchase this extended warranty plan.

buyer beware this warranty has a maximum that it will pay out. based on nada value of the vehicle. i bought what i thought we be problem free extended warranty product. was i wrong! coverage will not cover the cost of a transmission replacement for my vehicle. i am still expected to pay $3k out of pocket. i feel totally ripped off. i will be looking for coverage from another top rated company on my next vehicle purchase.

***BUYER BEWARE DO NOT USE*** I would highly recommend not using this company. I've only had for a short time and submitted two claims and they won't cover them - one was for a seat transmission motor the other for a sunroof motor. I've had other car warranties before and never had any issues. When I asked for list of parts / services they would not cover they refused to give it to me. If you think about it there are hundreds of parts on an automobile and if look at the service agreement and/or the brochure on what they cover it's very vague and is covered in a few paragraphs. There are too many loopholes for them to use on what they will actually cover and not cover. When I tried to call and cancel and get my refund they said they can't even do that because the car is still in the shop and the claim has not been settled even though they have 100% denied fixing it. #worsecarwarrantyever #donotuseroute66warranty.com #buyerbewareroute66carwarranty

Went to the Audi dealership they determined I needed a new engine. They called to tell me they won't cover it because it is a "pre-existing issue" but when I sent over the documentation proving that it is in fact not pre-existing they flat out they won't cover it. This is the biggest scam of a company ever. I added on almost $3000 to my loan and they won't cover anything. And from the looks of the reviews is their whole scam; to get you to buy and then never pay to fix anything. It gives you peace of mind until you need it then when I am supposed to be relieved that I purchased my warranty when I need a new $11,000 motor they flat out tell me they won't and are pulling things out of the air just because they don't want to. And now because I tacked on this extra charge I can't sell my car because with that extra money it isn't worth enough to pay off my loan. So now I have to every 2 weeks buy $30 worth of oil to put into my car because they won't fix it even though it says explicitly it is in my coverage and they admitted it is in my coverage. Pissed is an understatement.

I am writing this review to help people buy the right type of policy from Route 66 or other car warranty companies. I had a car with about 140,000 miles and asked my credit union to sell me the best policy for which my car qualified. My car has always had the best preventive maintenance and I use the best oil (Schaeffer). They sold me the First Street policy administered by Route 66. I switched to Route 66 because my mechanic said they were very good. I told all of my friends and relatives to switch and now I feel bad. My policy was the First Street policy and it is very limited and has a 5000 cap. I was unaware that my car had suspension problems until I had my oil changed this week. When my mechanic called he was told that my policy did not cover suspension issues or at least these types. I paid $1800 for the policy and now this repair is $1700. I am not saying don't use this company but just be aware that unless you buy the best policy through them that they will deny a lot of common problems. I wish these companies would sell these policies through an agent who explains exactly what you are buying and can advise you. I have bought these policies for 20 years and have no clue still as to which one I should buy. They are all about denying what they can instead of fixing the cars. They seemed pleasant enough when I called but when I read these other reviews, it made me think that they are not good. I don't know yet and will update their service when I have a claim that is covered. The weird thing though was I asked if I could give my input and they said that they did not have a department that takes input nor an email to give my input. They did transfer me to manager named Eric who listened patiently and was polite but he only handles the claims. I think maybe be aware that this company sells through 3rd party companies so I guess it is kinda like buying a plane ticket through Expedia or Hotwire. You know how that goes if you have a problem, everybody says it is the other guys fault. So just take all of this into consideration before you buy from this company. I think USAA sold me the best policy that I had but I still had to fight for myself. Triple A's was bad. I still don't know who to buy from. I see that CarShield has bad reviews. I think after researching and I hope some think tank industry person reads this and creates a new product. It is better to just educate someone about what they are buying. The reason consumers are buying these car policies is that we don't know anything about cars. We have no idea about what we are buying. Then when a repair is not covered, then we are upset. I don't know the exact solution but there has to be a better way. If you read all of these reviews, then you know there is a problem. I am sure there is someone out there who is way smarter than I am and could come up with a better solution. Most car repairs I have had seem to be under 2000. Sometimes it might just be better to cover more and pay the claim and have me and my family and friends as long time customers than to just leave us frustrated. Ok all you smart pants with common sense, come up with something. It is a mess. To be fair, after having said all this, I have had some repairs covered but usually after a few phone calls and arguments. One time I was denied because the mechanic said there was a little rust. All seems like a game to me but maybe there will something better available in the future. I will keep hoping. Also I had to pay the $1800 all up front which I thought was an odd way to sell a policy. Good luck to all you researchers and share your experience. I told Route 66 I was going to post this and they were pretty much ok with that. That tells you a lot right there. Update - I did just read that Endurance does not sell through third parties so I am going to research them.

I'm only giving it a one because you have to at least put one to get up there I paid $2,137 for an extended warranty my 2015 Jeep renegade is stuck in park. I find out that it is electronic control module which the dealership just needs to install the latest software to fix the problem. However on the Chrysler website the group of parts that is identified with this issue is the transmission and the transfer case which is supposed to be covered under my warranty. Route 66 will not cover the fee of 1,600 to fix my vehicle. Very disappointed Langley credit Union finance my vehicle and they recommended route 66 warranty what a disappointment.

Had some problems with my 2012 vw and took it to the shop, the mechanic couldn't even reach them for days. When they finally reached them, route 66 refused to cover any of the things wrong with my vehicle. Cost me $4000 out of pocket. This company is a complete scam, run away, far far away.

Ok here we go! Just as I expected.. the Route 66 Extended Warranty is garbage, I actually purchased this warranty just over a month ago.. for my 2011 Jeep Wrangler when I bought it thru the credit union.. and was told it was Bumper to bumper !!! Which certainly covers the brake caliper.. last time I checked it was between the bumpers.. but now sitting in a parking lot 7 hrs from home with no brakes, and called the Reliable ol 66 and was told ... nope we don't cover brakes and we didn't sell you the warranty You have to call the credit union..WOW that's just Great!! How would you like to own this business! Get all the money but not responsible for nothing! And says oh you bought the drive train warranty!! Absolutely Not !! I bought the so called worthless bumper to bumper warranty !! Typical crooks with out the gun! It's ashamed we live in a world where liars and thieves prevail!!Beware people these so called warranty's from route 66 Is just like throwing 2 grand in the trash!!
