Terrible experience, I booked the standard size SUV, gave me the compact size GMC terrain, and won't let me change it, keep trying to tell me the GMC terrain is large size like Ford expedition. Honestly when the manager said that to me, I was shocked, and then I requested to cancel it, they still charge me a one day fee. Never try again

I booked and paid for my rental a week ago. When I got to TIA, no one was at the counter. A TIA employee said we had to go to the parking lot. At the booth there was a sign telling us to go back inside. In a long line at the Hertz counter I was told it would be at least 45 minutes before they had a car ready. I checked in online yesterday. This is ridiculous! They also need more employees working the counter.

Employees very helpful with helping me find my son's iPhone pad that we had left in the car after dropping it off and coming back Day and a half later to look for it.
I was in line waiting to make a claim after the first guy looked in Lost and found and did not find it. A female employee found the iPad and brought it to me as I was in line waiting to make a claim. We are so very thankful to her for taking the extra time to look for it. I believe it was probably still in the vehicle.
Thank you so much! ? I wanted to hug her as she turned around to walk away.
We love the car we got and it was more than I expected. It truly was like driving my dream car.. It was a Dodge Durango. Beautiful inside and out. There was some charges that I did not expect when I booked my rental through Travelocity. I am still waiting on the final results and there are charges when you rent from an airport car rental place that I did not know about. Other than that it has been a overall great experience. Just trying to find out the grand total of how much this all cost me.. haha! ?

Wonderful helpful staff.
Dropped off our car 2 days ago. Our son had left his iPad in the backseat. Staff was able to find it for us and return it to us.
Wonderful experience with renting from Dollar. Wonderful car! Had a great time.

If I could give this a -5 stars I would. By far the worst customer service in the world. They wouldn't let me rent a car after I already paid for it for one. Then they wouldn't restart a reservation to rent the car that was already rented to me. Needless to say they wasted 3 hrs of my life and my wife's life. I walked away from their booth and walked to Enterprise, and got a car in 5 mins. Don't ever ever rent from Dollar rental!! People have no brains, they can't think outside the box, plus when the desk person is "okay" to lose out on a rental for one minor inconvenience then that really shows how they treat their customers! I really really hope the right person sees this and contacts me from Dollar. They should really hear how terrible their employees treat customers and how closed minded people they got. Bonus info, I asked the desk guy names Keith twice if he is okay with losing a rental, and you know what he said yes both times. Also Dollar rental I want my deposit back, plus anything else I paid for for my rental that I didn't even get to rent and can't even cancel it online.

I booked thru Priceline and didn't think to come read reviews. Like others, I booked online and then somehow ended up with an additional charge. The charge was so close to what I originally paid that I didn't realize that they had added on insurance and other things I didn't ask for and that it was a whole new charge. Ended up having to pay nearly $600 for a 4 day rental. You can't seem to get a human on the phone and trying to resolve issues over email is useless. I would definitely recommend finding a different option.

Paid for a mid-sized car on Priceline, got a small economy hatchback type vehicle with half a trunk. From Hertz. A lady working at National said that when Dollar is closed, Hertz manages their rentals. A flimsy dark board covered the cargo area, and a thin black rope thing on the left side connected the cover to the hatch door (right side rope was missing).At some point, I noticed the maintenance (wrench) symbol was on. I Google mid-sized vehicles, and this Mitsubishi’s definitely smaller than mid-sized cars. There were other mid-sized cars in the lot, so a lack of inventory probably wasn’t the issue, and I have a clean driving record.This vehicle had plenty of thick mud left uncleaned around the underside and inner fender. The folks who rented it before me may have gone “muddin’” with it. The car struggled to rev up to 65.The good thing was that since it was tiny, it wasn’t a gas guzzler, and compared to many other reviewers here, I wasn’t accused of not returning the vehicle. An employee took the car when I returned it, and emailed me a copy of my receipt.

Picked up my car around noon on a Wednesday. Specified that I would have to drop it off before they opened on a Saturday to catch my flight. They told me to put the keys in the drop box and everything would be fine. I got a call from corporate 4 days later telling me the car needed to be turned in. Repeatedly had to call the corporate phone number (800 number, being answered by someone internationally) to follow up multiple times. They sent an email to "have the matter closed." But would not tell me what days I would be charged for (the extra 4-5 days?!). I called the local number and no one ever answered the phone. Still not resolved, though I dropped off the car. Never thought to take a picture of the car dropped off at their location because... it's at their location.

This is a place that will steal your money!! After paying for this through Priceline, they charged extra when my father got there for more insurance…. Took advantage of my father when he had no way to get from there.
