I dropped my car off this morning, excited to have the oil pan gasket replaced by the end of the day and fully expected to pay hundreds of dollars.Within a short time I received a phone call from the owner, Jeremy. “You don’t have a defective oil pan at all. The leak is coming from the oil filter. It wasn’t turned all the way. If they aren’t tight, they can leak. We fixed it. No charge. You’re all set!”What??!! THIS dear man could have charged me for an oil pan gasket repair and I wouldn’t have known the difference! “I brought my ‘13 F150 in to Barlow in Feb ‘24 to run a 100k mile inspection and to diagnose a grinding noise that started (of course) right before I needed to hit the highway for Texas. When I came by, the Barlow team had a full lot and garage—clearly they weren’t hurting for business. I was sure it would be 2+ weeks before they saw me. Nope! They committed to working on the truck within a few short days and honored their word. The diagnosis was rough but not surprising given my job—new wheel hub and bearing assembly, CV axle shaft replacement, new water pump. Again, I assumed the worst—I was about to be out thousands of bucks. Again, nope! The Barlow team took care of me for what I feel was a very reasonable price. Throughout all of this, the whole team was communicative and a genuine pleasure to chat with. God willing, I won’t need a mechanic again any time soon…but when I do, I’ll be back at Barlow.”
“Stopped by to check on prices for a set of tires. Sam quoted me a great price but said he thought that was too much and continued to search for a cheaper option. The original quote ended up being the cheapest that he could do. I told him that the price is the cheapest quote that I've found. He hooked me up with a set of Cooper tires and an alignment and still came in cheaper than any quote for just a set of tires elsewhere.”
