I have been using Cherokee storage over the past few years, and each year I reach out last minute or needing a quick turnaround and Darlene at the Wilmington location is amazingly helpful. This most recent year (2024) I reached out last minute and expected they didn't have any openings, but Darlene offered to take my information and put me on a waiting list, sure enough a spot came available and she reached out. I can't speak highly enough of the support and assistance Darlene continues to provide....Thank you very much, sincerely

Absolutely rude staff. Way too expensive for a small unit. Was told by staff cameras haven't even worked till recently. Random cars watch the doors very unsafe. Waste of money

If I could give a zero i would. I was sent a letter on the third of November that I had 4 days to pay my bill. On the 7 at 9:00 am my things where sold. By law that is not 4 days. Not one letter was sent to my home., not one phone call. When we try to talk to her about this matter she hangs up on us. I guess I will get a lawyer.

Very nice staff. Secure property with cameras. Never had any issues. Will definitely use again in the future. Proximity to 71/73 very convenient.

Storage place is fine, staff is around and helpful. Parking spot for boats could use more gravel on the spot or redone, always a soupy mess when it rains. Prices are very competitive. Business has added more inside storage.

I rented a storage unit for almost 2 years from here. It has a gated entrance and cameras so I always felt safe anytime day or night. The lady in the office was always nice and friendly. She addressed any issue or request right away and kept the facility very clean. If I needed a unit again, this would be the first place I would go.

Bad place They Don’t maintain access roads potholes and Mud all over! Forget them plowing or treating the ice! Just my opinion. Very little business hours!

I'll give a review when & if I ever get my deposit back AND if it's for the right amount! Stay tuned folks. This could be a 3.5 star experience, because of the already long, unnecessary wait for our returned deposit of $110.00 & being lied to in the beginning, or its going to be an over-rated, 1 star review with a lot of honesty & for ripping us off. You'll be the first to know with pics to boot ;)

Very leaneant when I was few months behind on my bill due to losing my mother unexpectedly. Very appreciative of that. I want to thank them. They have inside units which are great when it's freezing out or raining. I suggest them to anyone who is looking for storage options!

If I could go lower than one star I would. This place is a nightmare. Had a unit when they first opened for a total of a month and it got robbed for thousands of dollars. The three other renters were robbed as well at the time. Sheriffs came out and took a report. They didn't have cameras installed or a locking gate like they promised they would when we signed our lease. They replaced nothing. Didn't apologize. Talked to the manager and she said since we didn't have the insurance plan we are out of luck but she offered free rent the next month like I would even keep what little of my stuff was left there any longer. Found a dead mouse in my unit and my blankets and pillows and baby clothes were shredded by said mouse. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Lost over $10,000 worth of my stuff due to their neglagence.

Not secure!!! My enclosed trailer was ripped off from here a week ago. Some guys drove up cut the gate open and then went straight for my trailer and stole it. Cameras showed the truck but not the license plate.
