The staff & especially Dr Holmer have always been attentive & careful to listen to my concerns. She takes time to help me problem solve the smallest of health issues. I have recommended Dr. Holmer to several of my friends.

I'm not sure what happened in recent years, but this place has gone from okay to downright horrible. First, I was questioned as to why I was making an appt. for a checkup... um... because everyone should go for checkups? Then the nurse laughed at me when I informed them I consume a lot of caffeine. Shouldn't I be honest with my medical team? The nurse was constantly talking over me, she would ask a question and not wait for my answer, just cut me off and assume my answer. The office itself is a mess, boxes and boxes of supplies are everywhere it looked like a UPS store. Unprofessional. I had to call multiple times to get my lab results, Dr. said they were fine. I looked at the labs myself and my cholesterol is high! Fast forward I ended up ending an ultrasound and a CT for my kidney and gallbladder. Again, I had to call multiple times and basically hound them to tell me what the results showed. Dr. Holmer refuses to talk with me unless I come into the office, I can't get an appointment for weeks. How does that make any sense? Making a patient wait weeks to answer questions about tests you made them get? The only way I can get any information is if I call in, ask a question, wait multiple days for a response from a staff member, which leads to a follow up question and the cycle continues. Its all a game of phone tag that is lasting weeks when I just want questions answered! When I first moved to stow in 2018 this place was recommended by everyone, now I hear nothing but bad reviews and I can see why! It's a shame.

I went in complaining of chest pain and lightheadedness in November and Dr. Holmer said I might have anemia so drew my labs. I work in healthcare so I had my coworkers tell me what the labs meant before her office called me. My iron was so low I should’ve gotten an infusion. But the office told me to just keep taking vitamins and come back for repeat labs in January, they didn’t even tell me that I had anemia, just to keep taking vitamins. I went for the repeat labs and actually had to tell the staff what labs I needed drawn and then when I got the results back they didn’t draw my iron or B12, the two things I have a deficiency in. So they had to retest my blood work. When they finally called a week and a half later they told me to keep taking the vitamins but told me I didn’t need my labs repeated despite them wanting to “continue to monitor my iron level.” Not sure how you’d do that without repeat labs. If I didn’t work in healthcare I’d have no idea I had anemia, probably would see no reason to have taken vitamins and would’ve landed myself in the hospital getting that iron infusion. The communication is horrible. I told them I don’t treat my patients like that and they aren’t going to treat me like that.

I've finally found a medical professional that takes the time to listen to my concerns. This office also offers a variety of services including labs, x-rays, and obgyn services. It's so convenient to be able to get additional testing done the same day same appointment and not have to go somewhere else. Test results come back very quickly and their online portal/app allows you to view results as soon as they are available. I've always had a positive experience here.

I was misdiagnosed at this office. I went in complaining of ankle pain, x-rays were taken, and I was told I had an ankle fracture. Amy said I should buy a boot from Amazon and wear it for 4 weeks. I was told to come back if it didn't feel better. After the 4 weeks of hobbling around on the boot, I removed the boot and the pain was still there and felt worse. I then went to Crystal Clinic Quik Care and more x-rays were done and the provider said that my ankle was never fractured that I have arthritis in my foot. My x-rays from Stow Kent Family Practice were never sent to a radiologist only read by Amy and Dr. Holmer. A radiologist would have known that there wasn't a fracture. I then filed a grievance with my insurance company for the misdiagnosis, Stow Kent Family Practice retaliated by dropping me from their practice due to "irreconcilable differences". I got no apology or explanation.

Dr Holmer, Dr. Bailey and staff are extremely detail oriented and find things other dr’s may not. They have the most understanding and patient staff. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I am so glad I found this practice. Our Nurse Practitioner, Sarah Kaminski, is amazing. She takes her time, she remembers your info, and she is very empathetic and listens. She's thorough and doesn't just blow off concerns. Highly recommend!

DO NOT go to this office. The doctors have always been helpful, however, the support staff (specifically accounting) couldn't be worse. Three years in a row they incorrectly coded my annual checkup and turned the bill into collections, despite admitting insurance should've covered the costs. After speaking to the accounting department, I was told there's nothing that could be done. Total joke.

Horrible office. The good news is that they gathered all the incompetent, unprofessional, and rude staff and put them all in one place, so hopefully if you just avoid this office you can get some quality care somewhere else.I went to this office several times. Not once did I ever meet the doctor I was “assigned” to. I only ever spoke to nurses and receptionists EVERY time. The receptionists are rude and literally know nothing. Instead of letting you speak to the doctor or nurses directly, they insist on playing middle man and phone tag. If you have a question they can’t answer, you have to wait for them to call you back tomorrow. If you have a follow up question after that, this becomes a conversation stretching days, maybe even a whole week. The last straw was when my husband was diagnosed with H Pylori through his nutritionist (Dr. Bailey refused to test him for it, he didn’t want to believe he had it.) So with his official diagnosis of a CONTAGIOUS disease, I wanted to be tested. No one at this office knew how to do a test. It took a week of phone tag just to figure out how to test. The doctor wanted me to do a blood test, completely unaware blood tests are no longer accurate for H Pylori. I asked for a stool test, and they handed me a non sterile kit to use. Nothing was wrapped or sealed. Doctor told me I shouldn’t even be worried because H Pylori isn’t contagious. Did he even go to medical school? Mind you, every time I say “the doctor said this” or the “doctor wants this”, I NEVER spoke to the actual doctor but just an unqualified, rude receptionist.Overall, this doctor either barely passed medical school or hasn’t kept up with his training and new science. And the way this place is operated is an absolute joke. I wanted this place to work out, I wanted the bad reviews I read to be wrong… but this place is giving out wrong information and refusing to follow basic protocol for a proper diagnosis.

They forgot to send my husband's prescriptions over at all, when we contacted them and gave them the pharmacy to send it to AGAIN they sent it to the WRONG PHARMACY. We called and the nurse said call the pharmacy it was sent to, basically we spent over 40 minutes to fix their screw up. Not going back ever.

I recently moved and switch to this family practice location. I had an urgent medical concern and the staff squeezed me in for a same-day appointment. When I arrived, the staff was very friendly and my wait was short. Dr. Bailey was kind and listened to me describe my condition. It was a very odd and inconsistent skin rash, so tough to diagnose. He even brought Dr. Homer in for a second opinion, which made me feel very reassured that I was getting quality care. I would highly recommend this office!
