WAY MORE THAN IT APPEARS TO BE FROM THE OUTSIDE! PIX DONT DO THIS HOME JUSTICE!Came to watch a show. They were packed. HOWEVER~ the Owner (Gem of a Lady) insisted we(3)stay & listen. I'm so glad we did. We were permitted to tour room after room browsing through history. We did not stay overnight, but the rooms we peeked into were very well kept. Staff was politely cleaning rooms & resetting the candies. We were there 45min and still hadn't seen it all. LAKE COUNTY MUST SEE! There is a fabulous dining area as well as a coffee type area on lowest level. PLENTY OF PARKING HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE with ELEVATOR

I booked a night here for my wife when she exclaimed, "I need a night to myself!". When I booked the room, I scheduled it for a month before the date I intended. The folks at Steele emailed me asking if it was in error, and when I didn't respond soon enough, they changed the date for me to make sure I didn't lose my reservation by no showing. Beyond that kind gesture, my wife had the best night to herself. She kept saying how wonderful everyone was, how cool and unique the mansion is, and they even let her stay a little past checkout so she could take another nap to enjoy her day a little longer. I wasn't the one that stayed, but I promise if my wife wrote this review, she would have gushed way more than I have. Stay here. Support this business.

I cannot put into words how amazing the Steele Mansion is. From the cleanliness, the beauty, the amazing staff, the owner, it is by far the most amazing place I’ve ever stayed and I have traveled a lot. I will definitely be coming back!

Can't wait to return! From the minute you walk into this place, you feel like you've stepped back in time. The owners welcomed us at the front desk when we arrived, and couldn't have been more hospitable. We got to learn about the history of this unique historic building, and all the work they did to lovingly restore it to period-appropriate decor and furnishings. It's not far from Cleveland in a fascinating small town that's worth the visit, and the rooms are each unique, well appointed and very clean. We absolutely loved this place and will be back again and again.

Our family has been going here for Thanksgiving dinner for 5 yrs. This is no small gathering since our children & grandchildren add up to 54! All we asked Carol is to have us at ONE table & she wasn’t even challenged by that request! A beautiful table was always set with china, glassware, tablecloths, centerpieces, & even cranberry cutouts of an acorn at each table setting!!?

We had a beautiful visit and tour! Fascinating living history venue! Enjoyed a tea visit in the bar/dining area, surrounded in each room by painstaking antique decorum. Must see for anyone who loves a step back in time...

Comfortable, well equipped room. It even had a reasonable number of outlets for charging devices, though it would be nice if more of them were easily accessible. Nice deep tub.

If I could give Steele Mansion 10 stars, I absolutely would! Amazing staff! Glorious renovated mansion with an Amazing history! I love this place and highly recommend that you stay here too, you won't regret it!

One of the best B&Bs ever! The beds are comfy, the rooms are spacious, the towels are super soft and fluffy and the house is so beautiful! I cannot recommend a stay here enough! If you are ever in the area I would highly recommend even just stopping in to look at the house which has been restored beautifully with so many interesting antiques from the area. The history of the house is intriguing showing its importance in the local area. The staff were great and very friendly as well! They even put chocolates on the pillows! Just stay you won't be disappointed!
