Loved Kirkwood Inn. I have never been a fan of Inns/Motels etc with doors that open to the outside versus a hallway, but this is the exception. It is a nice comfy place. The rooms were spotless. And modern which is impressive since the Kirkwood is an icon in the area. The breakfast in the morning was phenomenal. I am used to the standard continental breakfast that the chain hotels offer. That is not the case with the Kirkwood Inn. The spread for breakfast was pretty impressive. And the fact it is in a separate building adds to its awesomeness. I wish I would have been smart enough to eat out by the fountain. We didn't even notice what a perfect breakfast spot that would be until after we were done eating. We will definitely stay again when visiting family in the future. Oh yeah, great front desk service also. Super friendly.

Only regret was not being on the other side of the building. Nice and clean and quiet. Beautiful gardens and great Easter brunch included in affordable room pricing. Would recommend and stay again!

My daughter and I stayed last night and what a great experience. No, it's not a 5 star Marriot. But I would take this over that a million times over. The little lady up front was so sweet. The rooms are super clean and comfortable. There is a tv with cable, and fridge, a electric fireplace and window unit. Also, the breakfast was the best part. It inside this 200 year old house behind the hotel. They serve a buffet and it was fantastic! So next staycation we take, we'll be coming back!

Clean. Quiet. Comfortable. The breakfast was awesome. It was like having a home cooked meal at Grandma’s house. So cool that the house is over a hundred years oldRooms: Clean comfy room. Nice beds and all the necessities available.

Absolutely a lovely gem of a place to stay. Gracious hospitality from the staff, cleanest rooms I've ever had & the most delicious breakfast buffet in the setting of the original Kirkwood home circa 1800

When we go to that area. We only stay here. If they have no rooms available we will postpone the trip till there's rooms. Great Great breakfast in a separate house on property. Very clean swim pool. Price is cheaper then anywhere around there.Nearby activities: Kings Islands down the road. Newport 20 min reds games 20 mins. Hotels in an area where the average homes 1 mill+
