I don't ever leave reveiws for anything.
But this time I'm compelled to let everyone know about the OSU vet clinic.
I brought in a feral cat that I have been feeding for years. We found him unresponsive in the yard. My husband thought he was dead.
He had a broken shoulder, he had limping around for years. I tried to capture him to get him fixed, was never successful. He was attacked by something and had awful scars on his neck from years ago. He showed up at my back door every morning for breakfast and night for dinner. I had a heated house for him in the winter.
He hissed at us everytime we would get within a foot of him.
I brought him to OSU after my vet told me they had no room in their schedule to help me. I knew he was in trouble. I just wanted to send him off peacefully.
The vet clinic recognized as I walked in the door it was an emergency. We were taken care of immediately.
They were so kind and caring.
I truly appreciate their concern and immediate care.
Thank you to the staff at OSU vet clinic.
You rock!!!!!

Will only use OSU from now on, not MedVet! The efficiency was top notch and wait times were minimal. I especially wanted to highlight Haley, Audrey, Samantha, Dr. Spitzer, Dr. Nelson and Dr. Dowell for going above and beyond to take care of my cat, Bandit, who stayed overnight and was on the verge of receiving a feeding tube. The team took phenomenal care of of him and were so patient and delightful to talk to considering the circumstances. We expected that he would need ample testing which was going to be very expensive, but due to the exceptional care, he was able to come home and they decided he didn't need the additional testing. I am just overall impressed and incredibly grateful.

Extremely thorough, knowledgeable, professional, communicative and enthusiastic. My dog received the kind of care that I would want for a human. If this is something you’re looking for and are able to pay for it, I highly recommend

I will forever be grateful for the OSU Vet Clinic. I traveled all the way from Pittsburgh a few years ago, scared and unsure of what was ahead for my new Rottweiler puppy. Over the next 18 months, I made multiple trips to OSU, and they worked closely with my local vet to handle any minor updates and appointments. Throughout it all, I felt comfortable and well cared for.
My dog, Zoey, had four procedures on each of her legs starting when she was just 8 months old due to a genetic bone disease I didn't know she had inherited. Two of these procedures alone would have cost me $11,000 elsewhere, which I simply couldn't afford. OSU Vet Clinic provided top-notch care for Zoey at nearly half the cost.
Zoey is now 4 years old, and I never thought I'd be lucky enough to have her this long. She runs, jumps, plays like a puppy at times, and is a lovable bum the rest of the time. I will always be thankful for everything they did for us. A special thanks to Dr. Nina Kieves—she's the best!

The good samaritan program here is a joke. I took a very sick, stray cat in today. The older lady at the counter was pretty rude and said the cat only looked dirty and that he stinked. Ya lady he is pooping all over himself. HES SICK! Only to be told he "looked" fine and they wouldn't take him. They didn't even bother to take him out of the crate to get a good look at him. He has puss in his eyes, very skinny, diarrhea, and he isn't grooming himself. He clearly needs medical attention. Shame on you OSU.

I forget her name but if management can look her up who helped us on my account and thank her I would truly greatly appreciate it! She did a great job on helping us and just being there for us when my moms dog passed away tonight . She gave us as much time as we needed and cared about the situation and what was going on . Even tho we was a mess crying she STILL went above and beyond and walked us out to the car and made sure everybody would be ok . I used this place with my last dog and they was GREAT . It was an unfortunate both times. but they was ALWAYS comforting and understood! That’s why we brought are family baby there! I appreciate everything you guys did tonight! And to the manager ? Thank her for being so helpful I truly appreciate it! There’s not enough words I can say for her being there for my mom and me and my brother ? she DESERVES A RAISE!!!

The Vets that work at the vet hospital are wonderful bait that is the only good thing I have to say about the facility. Their financial policies are horrible. My dog needed surgery on 4 th of July, I was unable to get into the bank to get the money to pay them. They wouldn’t touch even after I had already paid $1400. So I had to borrow the money. She got her surgery, we picked her up the next day. The office owed us $600 that we have overpaid. I recieved a statement stating they had refunded the overpayment. That was 2 weeks ago. I have called everyday for a week, left messages, sent emails, I have not been able to get any response from the accounting department. I have not received any refund or a phone call or email to clarify this. I guess I will have to file in small claims court to get my money. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!

PLEASE READ--I wouldn't even give a one-star but I had to give some type of star to leave a review
I took my dog to their vet right here at OSU on 7/20 of 24... They was nice at first and draw blood said he had all the symptoms of parvo after only 15 minutes of looking at him and then I was being pressed about the payment just for bringing him in to be told that he had parvo even though the test came back negative.. they said that their test can vary... So I had two different doctors tell me that my dog is not going to make it and that I should put him down
Well my assumption is that he was still walking he was still lifting up his head and he got excited when I come back in the room. So I did not want to give up on him.. so I went outside to get some fresh air after letting a few tears loose of the thought of him dying.. they said if I took him home he wouldn't last but a couple hours.. so as I was outside in the back of the truck grieving a doctor and a nurse came all the way out to my truck.. talk to me into coming in and signing some papers for them to kill him.. so I signed the papers and left..then my lady she would not leave she went in and demanded her dog back.. and then again I was put down for wanting to take my dog home. A long story short it's been 16 hours since I left the vet.. and my dog seems to be doing great.. I'm not saying he's healed.. but what I am saying is that he don't look nothing like he did when he was in the vet today.. if I were to listen to the vet my dog would be dead as we speak.. then going back in to get my dog they would not give him to me.. they told me he's already been taken to get euthanized..then I see the nurse come out of the room and my dog seen me and straight lifted his head up.. so I almost got the cops called on me because I took my dog out of there against their will of wanting to kill him.. just be cautious before taking your dog to this particular vet.. I'm not trying to shame their name but these people really just wanted to put my dog down.. yeah they turned me down on the medicine that they promised me when I could take my dog home.. it first started out that I can take my dog home and they was going to give me two medicines.. but then after declining their euthanization they didn't give me no medicine... If I had any sick animal I would never take it there I'm saying that from the bottom of my heart..

This rating is solely based on my interaction with one of the receptionist. I spoke with Dori this evening regarding a potential emergency regarding one of my cats. At first she was kind and well-spoken but that took a very quick and disappointing turn. After being put on hold, Dori returned to the phone was very quick and short. She seemed rushed to get off of the phone. After she was done explaining, I asked a question in response to what she explained and she sounded very condiscending and inconsiderate. Additionally, to verify that I had all of the information correct, my spouse wanted to hear as well, she refused to repeat the information and said that she has "already shared too much". I am not sure how you can share too much with someone when it is in regard to a life or potential death pet emergency. It really makes me question the moral values of ohio states veterinary team.
