Drinks were pricey. They have a house cocktail which is $12 a glass. Good flavor, but not worth the money. The bartender messed up my margarita twice. The first time it wasn’t drinkable and the second time I just choked it down.It does have a nice atmosphere though.

pillows. Rule 101....the bed is everything. You have got to improve the quality of that bed! That was shocking. The heat was set on 70 then 71 and yet it was freezing. I had to turn it to 74 to be warm so i think the thermostat was inaccurate. I'd love to stay there again because of the amazing location but the quality of sleep i got was sub par. Hoped for more.

At first, this seemed like a cute hotel with a hipster vibe. You checked in at the bar and got a token for a drink. The room was super small and if you wanted to put your clothes anywhere, you had to put them in drawers under the bed, where it would be easy to forget them. There is no other furniture other than the bed.The hotel begins on the second floor of the building because there's a bar on the first floor, which is pretty noisy. This was no big deal once you're in your room though.During my two-night stay, the first night was fine. Friday night was a nightmare because music pulsed through the entire building, literally causing the floor to vibrate. After finally calling the front desk, the manager explained that there was a club on the roof that they don't own, so there was nothing he could do other than bring me a white noise machine. He told me that the music would stop at 2 a.m. I was in Columbus for work. Hotels exist so people can sleep. Why would there be parties on the roof of a hotel? This was the most ridiculous experience I've ever had at a hotel. I would never stay here again. Please spare yourself from a similar experience.

Stayed at the Moxy Columbus/Short North for a night on our drive back to the east coast. Rooms were small but clean. Location was great for food and shopping. The biggest issue we ran into was the noise from the club on the top floor. We stayed on the 8th floor and at about 12:30AM had to ask if there were any other rooms available. We were moved to a room directly below on the 7th floor. It was a little better but honestly the bass from the music at the club was really loud until about 2:30/3AM. Staff was nice at helping offer a new room, but since there weren't many working at that hour no one offered to help us move rooms. Overall, probably wouldn't stay here on a Thursday - Sunday due to club noise and traffic.

Room 601 is awful!!!! Literally got 1 hour of sleep, this room is located directly across the elevator right by the gym and Terrace. Throughout the entire night they were drunk people leaving the Tara's to head to the elevators were they would start shouting and screaming laughing. I finally at 1:30am a large group started screaming. I open the door to find a girl with her hands on the floor, her feet on the elevator Twerking. Seriously WTF!!! And why is this even a Room? It should've been a storage!!!!!!

Exactly what I expected. A downtown spot that is close to everything. Located on High Street in the Short North. You are smack in the middle of shopping, restaurants and bars. Been to the Moxy in Louisville but this is the first time I have stayed. The rooms are concise, not much extra space. If you want to luxuriate and stay several days this may not be your jam. For me, I was just staying overnight and the space was perfect. Both the restaurant and the bar were bumping and open til 2am. Friendly service and valet parking. I look forward to a return visit. The mini breakfast bar was a nice bonus.

Love this hotel! This is the second time I've stayed at a Moxy, but my first time here. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are nice, clean, and modern. The rooms aren't huge, but the they don't need to be because the space is used well. While there's no closet, there are plenty of hooks on the wall, and some hangers as well. It was perfect for what we needed. I love that you get a drink token at check in! We chose to use it after we got back from a concert and enjoyed our Moxy Mai Tai's on their terrace. Location was also great to walk to shops and restaurants in Short North. The only thing I didn't love was that parking seemed a little steep for Columbus, Ohio, but I think it was because this is in the heart of Short North.

The rooms are tiny. Microscopically tiny. They're even smaller than the Microtel rooms I've stayed in. However, those tiny rooms are the "price" you pay for one of the cheaper downtown hotel options that's located in the middle of a lot of nightlife options. Know what you're getting (cheaper price, trendy look/feel) and giving up (lots of comfortable space, easy access to lots of hotel things you probably take for granted) before staying here. Definitely consider valet parking here. Weirdly enough, parking overnight in one of the Short North garages actually MORE expensive than simply doing valet. That's insane. There are multiple late night spots located in and next to the Moxy. If you're sensitive to noise, request a higher floor for sure. PROS:-Early check in and late checkout. You can be here as early as 3PM and leave at late as noon. Having these as standard hours is awesome - but it does mean that housekeeping was still turning rooms over when we were walking around the hotel at 6PM. 3 hours is definitely not enough time for a hotel to turn over the entire thing. -The toilet is gigantic and sturdy. It's weird that this is a point worth mentioning, but for a room that's microscopic in size, the toilet is big. I'd almost guess it's a bariatric toilet. The bathroom is small for navigating in, but the toilet and shower are roomy. -Really pretty space. The hotel itself is definitely going for that trendy, Gen Z feel. Lots of neon lights with contrasting dark colors. Lots of bright and colorful art. -The bathrooms in the breakfast/bar area are all-gender. They're actually really cool. In the middle of the room is a gigantic sink area. Circling around that sink area are a bunch of tiny rooms that either have just a toilet or just a urinal in them. Tons of privacy while still maintaining an all-gender space. I'm really impressed. -Free check-in beer/wine. You get a token at check-in that can be redeemed for a drink. You can redeem it where you stand, if you want, because the hotel's check-in/guest service desk also doubles as the bar. It's an odd set-up, but it kinda works. (I'm not sure if I'd agree that "bartender" and "guest service representative" are usually overlapping skillsets for an employee, though.)CONS:-The room is tiny. Microscopically tiny. Like, there's not even a closet. There's a floor-wide area that has ironing boards and extra blankets/pillows. Even the two bedside tables are tiny AF and weirdly low (about half the height of the bed). We're talking "When I got here with a cup of coffee in hand, the only place to put it was on the bathroom sink" level of "no room". It is, by far, the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. This can work out okay if you're just here as a sleeping spot while exploring the nearby nightlife, but if you plan on spending extended time in the room, this is not your spot. Like, even sitting on the bed to do work (a standard for me) won't work because the bedside table is simply too short and small to support food/drinks while I'm trying to work.-Weigh your valet parking options. Weirdly enough, self-parking in the nearby garage was more expensive. We saw the 12+ hour rate of $25 and figured we'd save the ten dollars on valet by self-parking. We didn't realize that the "12+ hours" clock restarts at 6AM. Which means that when we checked out at 10AM, we had added an additional four hours of parking fees. Which made it now more expensive than valet. -The elevators are those weird card-operated elevators. There's a screen panel outside of the elevator that requires your key card to select a floor. This isn't a big deal when you're by yourself, but when you're trying to slide onto an elevator while others are also using it, there are NO buttons inside the elevator. So you have to get off the elevator on whatever floor those people went to and use the screen at that floor - then get ba

Wish the staff cared more about patrons staying at their hotel than running a nightclub. Marriot needs to explicitly state this hotel features 2 NIGHTCLUBS on property. Maybe your cup of tea, not recommended for business stay. Won't ever be staying at this Moxy ever again.

One of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. They told me at check-in that the bathrooms would be out of service for four hours the next morning (!). I was told I could either pay full price and stay with no working toilet, or receive a refund and GTFO. I chose to leave and find a different hotel in the middle of the night, one with a functioning bathroom. Then had to fight with them for weeks to get them to actually refund my money. They kept telling me they would and then not doing it, hoping I'd forget. Also the lobby is dingy with a thin film of grease over everything. I'd honestly be scared of what the rooms are like. They were handing out bottles of water to customers as though they do this all the time. You have to wonder what's going on with the plumbing in that building. Honestly the health inspector needs to pay them a visit.

SLEEP ISNT POSSIBLE. The walls are paper thin and there is a rooftop nightclub that plays until 3 am. It is SO loud and the ceiling vibrates because of the bass. Cheap hotel with minimal accommodations. It felt like a hostel or a dorm room. I don’t understand why this is part of the Marriott brand.

Great drinks. Great service. Amazing evening atmosphere for a hotel on High St. I left a few items behind -- accidentally -- and upon returning the incredible staff greeted with my name and confirmed the items I was missing were mine. I couldn't be happier for getting my wallet and phone back safely. As a non-guest, yet local who lives adjacent to the hotel, the Moxy always has a great atmosphere for a few drinks with a great staff!

This place gives you a very energetic experience. The hotel itself is a very unique hotel with a lot of great features. It's surrounded by several restaurants. The environment is kid, pet and family friendly. A Special thanks to Susan Tosan and Engin, Ashley, Latoya, Erica, Zion and Kyleah ❤️ for their awesome customer service experience provided and I will definitely visit again.

This hotel is in a great location but definitely not worth the price. Our room had no desk, no chair, no rug, no surface to put stuff on, and no housekeeping despite assurances otherwise. It reminded me of a youth hostel. The bed was uncomfortable, and the only way to get into bed was to squeeze your body sideways. The lighting was poor. The a/c did work well, and we had hot water, but those are basic expectations. In the morning, they offered complimentary bad coffee. The bartender doubles as a front desk clerk, but none of those people we interacted with could answer our basic questions. When we checked out, the person said he did not know how to get into the system to show us our bill. We did get the bill via email a few hours later, and thankfully it was correct. Yikes, it’s hard to believe this is a Marriott property.

If you're young and hip, you might enjoy staying at this place. But if you want a noise level quiet enough to hear your companions' voices... Or room doors that are not so heavy that they're almost impossible to open... Or window blinds that don't require great muscle strength to open easily... Or a room warm enough to get out of the shower without shivering... Or elevator doors that stay open long enough for you and your luggage to carefully enter.... Or a manager willing to take responsibility for an error made by their booking system... Or valet parking that requires less than 10-15 minutes to retrieve your car, You probably want to find a hotel that believes in guest service, which the Moxy clearly does not.
