Our room was dirty & smelled of mold/sewage from the mini fridge freezer being frozen over/leaking. Pool hours not consistent with posted hours.

Great for a quick overnight stay off the interstate. Definitely recommend when on the road.

Horrible experience. Partly because of rooms in disrepair, and with a major event there were no other rooms available. But the room was still in disrepair. When we first checked in the room was humid and had an odd overpowering Pinesol smell. Seemed like they cleaned in the last minute or they were masking some other scent. The window was broken/busted/whatever, so as it rained it was raining in my room.Additionally, I found bugs in the bathroom. (The crawly kind)They were gracious and fully refunded our room, but I had to go to another hotel.

The rooms were dirty (carpet) and disgusting. The window was full of mold (which made us sick) and the air conditioning unit did not function properly. This was very unhealthy and disgusting to say the least. The place looks very tired and not maintained very well. The elevator smelled like urine. There was no way we were even going to attempt going into the pool after seeing the state of our room. The chair at the desk was all torn and ratty and the shower curtain was also ripped/torn with garbage behind the bathroom door. This is all part of maintaining a healthy and well managed hotel business which that it is NOT!. Breakfast presentation was not good, area not well maintained and the staff left their cleaning supplies on top of some food. The area was not in a good part of town given it was right off the hi-way and very noisy all night long. We couldn't understand the customer service rep at the desk either when asking questions. Was charged for a SAFE tax and didn't book the safe to use or did use it when booking online with CHOICE HOTELS! Choice hotels should not be even recommending this place in their choices for people. VERY DISAPPOINTED in our stay here. I trusted to join Choice Hotels to find a safe and clean place to stay but this was obviously a bad "choice" literally,

The room was okay. Mattress and pillows were well used. When I jumped into the pool it looked odd. Saw some chunks of dust in it aswell. Once I got out and showered it practically ruined my hair! My hair feels so dead and dry now. Also the shampoo and conditioner sucked and hardly had any in it. Alongside the tv guide not being correct. It deserves its 2 star rating.

I booked this hotel because it was close to where I needed to be and also inexpensive. I am pretty no-frills, and didn't want something luxurious. But I do expect a hotel room at a minimum to be clean, and this place is disgusting. There are stains on the walls, something so sticky inside one of the nightstands that a brochure was permanently stuck to it, mold in the freezer, and an actual cockroach crawling around. I was horrified, and when I showed the photo of the bug to the staff, they offered me an $8 discount. Eight dollars. I respectfully insisted this was not nearly enough, and was told that this discount percentage was all the manager allowed her to give, and the manager wasn't there for her to ask for more. She told me she would have the manager call me to work out an additional refund over the phone, but three days later I have not heard anything. So, not only gross, but disingenuous. Avoid.

Someone came into our room around 5 am. Knocked on the door. Got three calls a few hours later. We left early cause we couldn't get any sleep.

Unfortunately, this is not going to be a good review. I typically never complain but this important and Choice as a company should take this review seriously. First, I’ll say something positive. The price was excellent and they didn’t charge crazy extra fees like some hotels do. Now comes the honest review. My daughter is starting college at The Ohio State University in the fall, so we wanted to find a hotel that we would build a loyalty travel relationship with for the next 4 years. The hotel was very convenient to the university and a decent size. The room was absolutely filthy and dirty. We had a few bugs in the room which is totally unacceptable. The bed was not comfortable and the pillows were half pillows. The free breakfast was below average and not fresh. We did complain and they apologized but did nothing else. The hotel had a pretty good rating and the money was right. So, we booked the stay for 3 days and 2 nights. I would absolutely not recommend this hotel and if senior managers of the Choice hotels want to contact me, I would love to hear from you.

Our first room had a pile of dried animal feces in the corner. Thin walls meant we got a play-by-play for the escalating conflict between kids playing in the hallway, and the dance moms who screamed obscenities and threatened to call the cops on them. We called the front desk; the front desk said there was nothing they could do.Breakfast was weak: hard stale breads, room-temperature milk, cold eggs and sausage, and a broken coffee machine. The front desk guy at check-in was great, but I've had way better at hotels that were half the cost.

So disappointed in our stay!! Found bed bugs in our room. The housekeeper seemed unphased and like she didn't care. The first floor was so loud. Was moved to the 3rd floor after the bed bugs. Went to swim and the pool was closed. The desk staff were nice and breakfast was good. Have a few more opportunities to come back to Columbus in the next couple months and will not be back.

The reason for the low review: the health department shut down the pool on the first day of our stay and they didn’t fix it for the whole stay (Thursday-Monday), the beds were super uncomfortable, and the breakfast was ok but the eggs were very soft (maybe they were frozen, idk) and the baked goods were kind of stale. From shift to shift, the staff didn’t seem to know what was going on. There was a sign about the pool being closed but second shift knew nothing about it and then first shift the next day also had no clue it was closed. The vending machines were also out of products. Also, the WiFi was horrible.

Well, nor what was expected... but consider the close locality to OSU and the price... you get what you pay for. Looked all over for TV REMOTE, NOWHERE to be found. Asked woman at front desk..she said she would ask housekeeping. Over an hour now... no remote. I was even entertained by the fly tape hanging over the coffee area. Nice touch! Only one night here...counting my blessing.Lesson learned...if being cheap, you get what you pay for in the end.By the way, if anyone finds the TV remote let me know!!Nearby activities: There is a pool...exercise area.Ot much else.Walkability: Yeah, right...walked to McDonald's ( because I was too lazy to drive anywhere else). Walked in, greeted with flies buzzing around..2 males asleep on the couches in the eating area.

I recently spent 3 nights at this Comfort Inn. I was a bit concerned by the location, but once inside everything was great. It's fairly standard, with a nicer-than-normal lobby. The room was spacious and clean. I had no problems while there.I did not take advantage of any of the hotels amenities outside of the room, so can't speak to those. It would be nice to see the locks updated so that key cards are no longer required, but that's a minor inconvenience and doesn't impact my rating. Also, I will add that this might not be the best option if attending an event at the Expo center. It's extremely close, but 17th Ave gets closed down for events which complicates the process of getting to the Expo center (unless you walk the approximately 1/2 mile). It was a breeze getting back to the hotel after the event, though.
