Prior to moving to 80 on The Commons last August, I toured countless other properties in this area. The apartments are beautiful and well crafted. The location is stellar and close to so many attractions . The office staff and maintenance team have thus far been responsive, helpful, and professional. The building is cleaned frequently, and I love the safety measures in place to prevent others from roaming around the building and floors they don't reside on. They've updated the community room and it is beautiful and functional for an alternative place to work remote or relax. My only complaint so far has been the cost of my electric bill during these winter months but that's a story for NEC and not the property. It's a very solid choice if you are looking to move in the Columbus downtown area!

I must take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation for the wonderful team here. A special shoutout to Melissa and the entire maintenance crew for their exceptional work. Their dedication to keeping our building not only impeccably clean but also visually stunning does not go unnoticed. Moreover, the politeness and professionalism of all the staff members contribute to a warm and welcoming atmosphere that truly makes this place feel like home. I am incredibly satisfied with my living experience here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to live.

Great apartment complex. Everyone is very nice, very helpful and generally in good spirits. Never had any issues and maintained requests are usually resolved within 24 (business) hours. No complaints.

Terrible makes you pay for assigned parking. But gives it all to the people that work in the building everyday I come home from work there are no spots. As well as not even being that nice not somewhere you want to be if you enjoy peace

The Commons of Downtown is the outdoor venue for many scheduled concerts - the outdoor home of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra.Surrounded by apartments, hotels, a bank and business high-rise, this once was THEE downtown shopping venue for a 2-Level array of stores called CITY CENTER.During Christmas, the Commons is decorated in festive colors; even giant hanging ornaments, and huge Christmas light bulbs. And, of course, there remains the Carrousel - sheltered until the Springtime. Even Jenni's Splendid Ice Cream is there.Growing in the Exhibit are the number of "Engagement Rings" to stand under, or beside.Even a unique, lighted butterfly to have pictures with the wings spread.Come and see, before it is a memory of 2022 Christmas that was just last week!- Keith CareyPsalm 51

These apartments are amongst the best in Columbus. They have a really great gym, free workout classes, it's right next to the Columbus Commons and Scioto mile, the apartment are furnished with high quality material, the building itself is made from concrete and steel so the apartment is sound proof, and the balcony has a great view of the Columbus sky line. The downside is that the elevators and shared spaces get damaged but never repaired. Construction is still going on so expect to be stuck in the evelators on your way to work for at least 5 minutes. There is no cover from the rain or snow on the way to the parkng garage.

We truly enjoyed our time living at 80 on the Commons and dearly miss our apartment there. The units are modern with expansive views of the Columbus skyline. We hardly ever heard our neighbors as the building has immensely sound construction. I do want to share a few cons to the complex for your consideration, although I’d still recommend living here once staffing settles.1. Trevor, the property manager, joined 80 at a very tumultuous time with little to no staffing and many, many backed up maintenace requests and angry residents (myself included). One might call it an impossible task. Trevor was excellent to work with, responsive, and caring as he worked to resolve issues we ran into. Staffing was a huge issue during the end of our time at 80 – for both leasing and maintenace. This was not the case during the majority of our lease but definitely impacted our maintenace experience during the last few months of our lease. I hope Coastal Ridge can resolve this as it severely impacted our resident experience. Coastal has offices (maybe HQ?) in the 80 on the commons building, and this still did not seem to influence their desire to step in and help Trevor who was essentially forced to be the property manager, leasing staff, asst property manager, and maintenace team. Do what you want with that information about Coastal Ridge as a property management company.2. You share parking with the businesses in the building, so if you leave and return within the work day, expect to park very far away from the sky bridge entrance. The sky bridge itself promises to keep residents dry during rain, but, in all honesty, it does the exact opposite. Expect to walk through large puddles and be hammered with rain when walking on the sky bridge. Reserved Parking passes through the Commons garage are also cheaper than the 80 on the commons reserved parking.3. Residents during our time with 80 were immensely inconsiderate and left their pet’s poop and pee everywhere inside and outside of the building. Expect to see pee in the hallways and/or elevators at least a few times a week. Residents refuse to clean up their pet’s defecations, unfortunately. While there is a common area cleaning staff, you can expect that pee or poop to sit for sometimes hours at a time. We are pet owners ourselves and never believe it to be the responsibility of the building cleaning staff to clean up after our dog, but that may be just my opinion.

If youre looking for looks, it looks great. If you’re wanting to live comfortably, look somewhere else. I went without AC for about 2.5 weeks in an apartment that was almost 90 degrees, almost 2 months without a microwave, and my dishwasher has left massive smelly puddlesfrom breaking and leaking. The place falls apart, and theres nobody around to ever fix anything. Havent even offered to compensate for a free month or something off of the $1400 i pay for a less than 500sqft studio apartment, seeing that this all was happening during the last two months if my lease… i should've received the basic living amenities that I was paying for, and didn't.The management, even since their new staff, has always been terrible to deal with. Trevor, the property manager, especially is a terrible person. Has no regard or care or empathy for the people in his building. Very selfish. The front desk lady is super sweet though. They do great with finding secretaries… If only they did the same with management :)Not to mention when my key card some how breaks and stops scanning, lock out assistance is $150 to get me upstairs when its $75 for a new key….How is it my responsibility to make sure a magnet works 100% of the time? All in all my total experience has been very poor with this property. I recommend somewhere else

i just adore my luxury apartment. great space, quite, and the leasing staff{s/o to lauren, maggie, julia and simrhan} are very professional along with excellent customer service! ...and, the club house with the great view of the commons is breathtaking. serious, tho. downtown living at its finest. now, we need a restaurant located inside our building. overall, money well spent. i highly recommend 80 otc!??????

We toured 80 on the Commons when we were looking for a new place to move into in the downtown Columbus area.I can’t overstate how wonderfully kind and accommodating the staff in the office were when I had to rebook touring several times. The building itself was immaculate and in as clean as state as I could ever hope it to be during covid. The management team has done a fantastic job of paying attention to the details. When I asked some of the other residents how they felt living there, it was refreshing to hear so many felt like the staff listened and got their maintenance requests satisfied within 24 hours. This has been a huge problem for us with other groups in the area .Ultimately we decided not to move here strictly because we love the Victorian village area but without a doubt if I wanted to work and live downtown this would be my new home in a heartbeat! Thank you to the 80s on Common staff!

I lived here for a year. Management is great and they really care for their residents. The building was always clean and well kept. Brand new top-of-the-line appliances. Great location on the commons. The only reason for 4 stars is the price per sqft is on the high end.
