This was beyond my expectations! They worked on 2 pieces for me.
One was a hand me down from my grandmother that she had made with her sister. They restored it and upgraded it for another 50 years so my kids will be able to use it.
Second they did a piece that was given to me, meant to be a family heirloom. I had done nothing with it for a couple of years because Covid. They educated me on the best ways to preserve it and display it, which were not the most expensive options.
When I have an art need, this will be the first place I go. Fantastic and friendly the whole way through!

It's my understanding that these guys have had a reputation for excellence for a very long time. As a new customer, I felt relieved that there was a reliable option for a specialized field. I recently handed them a big and complex job for a couple of rare 18th Century works of art and I'm happy to say that they were able to meet the challenge at a very fair cost. They have a steady business in a specialized field. I had to be patient but I was aware of the timeframe when I signed the contract. Quality work takes time.

A treasure item I've had for 50 years. My parents next door neighbor had this in her kitchen. When she discovered my love of Betty Boop, she gifted it to me and Patty as a wedding present. She bought it new in the early 30's. Over the years, the paint/plaster started to fail. To prevent any further deterioration, I took it to Old World Restorations here in Cincinnati. They did a miraculous job on two family heirlooms about 30 years ago, so I knew they were the right ones tackle this task.

Did an amazing job restoring our silver sculpture.
Noticing their restorative work with damaged paintings, and, notable clients who rely on their services. I would feel comfortable bringing in different types of media to them.

We had a 2 ft statue restored beautifully that was 50+ yrs old. The statue had broken near the base with some areas having chips and blaster missing. We were concern about making it structurally sound, the required detailing, and matching the antique color due to the age. The statue was reinforced with rods and the cracks and missing blaster were filled and sculptured to match the missing features. It was restored like new. We are very pleased as the statue had sentimental value and brought back memories. The restoration was beyond our expectations and brought tears of joy.Thank you again.

I don't write many Yelp reviews, but wanted to acknowledge the terrific repair/restoration work that Old World Restorations did for me recently. Working within my limited budget, they revived a 50+ year old a silkscreen poster. I was initially unsure if the piece could be salvaged, it had so had many problems from years of bad storage, including folds, fading, yellowed tape, acid burns, water stains, and insect damage. This was a completely remote transaction, I spoke to and exchanged email with Christy to get started. She was great and understood that I had a limited budget for the project. From Southern California, I sent them the folded and stained poster (about 30"x30") and they returned it bright, clean, and pressed flat to acid free museum board. Their packaging was bullet proof ! My project was restoring a 40-year old Delta Zeta sorority charter of which I am a founding member. Most of the signatures were faded along with the matting. I wasn't sure what to expect. Andrew did amazing detail work. The document looks like new, the signatures look original, and the new glass and framing materials will protect the document going forward. Highly recommend Old World Restorations!

I have a 100+ year-old landscape painting and frame that my grandparents brought to the US when they emigrated from Europe. I wanted to preserve it for future generations of my family because it represents our heritage. The painting had yellowed and was dry and cracked in spots. Old World did a beautiful job of bringing the colors back out and eliminating the cracks. They also put a protective lacquer over the painting. It really pops now. The frame was gold leaf carved in wood. Very intricate. It had lost its luster and had a couple chips in it. It too, looks fantastic now! I have re-hung the painting over our living room fireplace. We now will be able to enjoy this family treasure for many years to come!
