Applied and paid the application fee for a place thats $900 a month and they denied me because of something from 9 years ago…. I pay $1350 now and you guys think i cant afford $900?! Yeah lets go ahead and deny someone based off something from almost a decade ago. Talk about scammers just getting that application fee from people ?? dont waste your time unless you have perfect credit!

I have rented from Bauer at 2 different properties. As long as you follow the rules and pay your bills on time you will have no issues. If something needs fixed or replaced get ahold of them right away they like to be aware of any issues. They fix it as soon as possible. I am sure they have had a lot of renters who do not follow the rules and regulations of the lease and that is why they are so strict on things. If you owned a property you would want to make sure that you were finding good tenets who wont destroy the property or not pay rent. I have over all had a very good experience with Bauer and highly recommend! Everyone in the office is awesome!! my advise to you if you rent from Bauer is just communicate if you have any issues take care of the property and pay your bills on time.

Young Veteran on my own, needed the cheapest apartment available so I don’t have to drive 50 minutes to my job. Never been late on apartment payments in my life. My financial survival depended on this apartment and they couldn’t even call me but only left me an email weeks later to reject me for credit. Greedy company with Zero mercy for people just trying to survive.

Great place to get deals for rentals, but I really wish the operation was more reasonable in a few departments. IMO.Easy to lease and an affordable place if you can manage to get an opening you like.

Rented from Bauer several years ago in a multi apartment building. The first several months were fine (knew by the rent it wasn't a great apartment). However, after they rented out the business below us, our electric bill more than quadrupled. After bringing this to their attention they denied any issues while refusing to even look at it.Now they have a monopoly over housing in Ashland and are more than happy to collect the application fee and deny it without looking at it.Talk to any resident of Ashland who has rented from them and you'll hear similar issues, lack of maintenance, billing errors, fraudulent withholding of deposits, and fake cleaning charges. They use their position of holding a huge majority of properties in Ashland to bully and cheat residents because anyone who pushes back is going to have a near impossible time finding somewhere to rent.

My Son and his family are being evicted because Bauer is saying they didn't pay their rent (and yes it was a little late )but they paid in cash the full amount and left it in the overnight box and they are saying they have not received it but they have a witness that worked there and voiched for them with the police and she was fired that same day after she talked to the police,but they allow a Mother that lives across from me that has3-4 teenagers destroy a home.

If giving them zero stars was a option I would I'm a single mom of three and im only 22 and I have metro and they said that it was fine that I didn't have a history of renting to fill out the application only to turn around and deny me after I made the payment this company is horrible and just out to get money

Racially profiled. Non- existing criminal report was cited as reason for denial of application, that they took 2 months* to process. Very disorganized- made mutiple phone calls with no response or excuses as to delay in processing application. I would not waste time or money with this company.

Don't rent from these people. They are slum lord's, they find everything they can to keep ur deposit, they deny anyone and don't care how far back u may have had a problem, or the circumstances of why u may have been evicted, or why u don't have rental history, including being a 25 year old or disabled. They rig everything and don't fix anything correctly. They r money hungry and the worst. Find an actual private landlord if u can. Bauer is the WORST
