I ordered new iPhones through the online Verizon store for myself and my wife. I selected the option to pick up in store because I assumed I could get the phones quicker than if they were shipped.
When I arrived my local Verizon store, the specialist that attempted to check me in would not accept my ID because the name listed on our account (my preferred name) did not match my dead name that I still have to use on my government IDs. While my wife is the account owner, I am still added as an account manager.
He refused to process my check-in any further and would not allow me to pick up my order because it was Verizon policy that the names "had to match".
I called Verizon support (from my Verizon phone) and explained what happened. The support person seemed surprised that the in-store specialist refused to get my order since I had an ID that had a matching last name and seemed to understand that Lando was clearly a nickname based on my dead name. The support person was able to manual override our account to use my dead name again (which I SHOULD NOT have had to do) and told me what to say to the in-store specialist to make sure they pulled the newest information.
I am lucky that I had the day off for Juneteenth and was able to pick up my order about an hour later. But, I should not had to be inconvenienced because of the ignorance of staff member.

I visited this location with a friend ~ 88 years old ~ who has never had or used an iPhone. Eddie was INCREDIBLY helpful and patient with us! I would recommend him all day long, every, single, day!

Top Notch Service!! Xavier was patient and kind and SOO helpful! I would have saved money had I upgraded in the store instead of doing it online! And... he helped me save money on my current bill!

Jamar was extremely helpful and friendly. He helped me upgrade my phone and he was very patient when the system was being difficult which made the experience so much better! 10/10 great customer service. Would recommend this location and Jamar to anyone! :)

I would like to express my utmost appreciation for the exceptional customer service provided by Josh. I encountered difficulties while attempting to purchase a product online, as the price kept fluctuating. However, upon visiting the store, Josh promptly addressed my concerns and efficiently resolved the issue. Within a mere 15 minutes, I was able to leave the store with the desired product in hand, without any increase in my bill. This experience stands out as the epitome of customer service that I have ever encountered.

The absolute worst Verizon experience I’ve had in the over 10 years with them. They would not even discuss my phone with me even though I had the PIN for the account, I said they could call either of the authorized users on the account and get a code from them. Verizon tech said no. (Both authorized users do not live nearby. One has COVID and one of them is on call at a hospital.) The Verizon tech did not care and said that one of them had to be there with me with their ID to even DISCUSS my phone. Even though my name is attached to my phone/number/account and is paid off. On 12/18 another family member on our account (who is also not an authorized user) went to Verizon. That Verizon store simply texted the authorized user and asked them to click a link to confirm access. LESS THAN 2 WEEKS AGO.Beyond ALL of this. The Verizon tech was rude and dismissive. When I brought up all of these suggestions and the link that was sent on 12/18 from another store, he did not care. He was rude from the moment my appointment was ready.He then said I could go to an authorized dealer for Verizon in Wilmington, that they would be able to use the account PIN. He said they would be able to do 95% percent of the things his store could do. I asked for examples of the other 5% that they couldn’t do. After fighting with me about what that store couldn’t do, he gave me 3 examples. None of which had to do with why I was there in the first place. I called the authorized dealer store before driving all the way there. That store said they could not help me either, that the authorized users needed to be there with ID. So I would have wasted my time there too, on the recommendation of this Verizon tech/store.

We went into this location this morning to get my phone hooked back up to the network because I was unable to make calls or texts all of a sudden. We didn't make an appointment, but got seen within a few minutes. We had Joshua help us and he was wonderful. He went over our plan and swapped out my SIM card, as well as added my watch to the plan. He recommended bundling our apps to save some money, and we had a very pleasant experience. If we need anything with Verizon I will be going back to this location due to the great customer service.

The store manager Chris was beyond helpful and friendly. His customer service was top notch and made what I thought was going to be a stressful visit actually a pleasant visit. Thank you!
