I never leave a bad review but as a long time customer of this store I was offended at how rudely I was treated at this store in Mayfair this morning. It’s never happened before but I’m thinking twice before I go back !

Called this store on a recommendation from my local store because according to their inventory they had pieces of what I was looking for. Very rude. You could tell by the way they answered that they didn’t want to be bothered. And by the fact that they told me to call a store in Puerto Rico. Really? They kept hanging up on me. After a few tries I gave up.

We decided it was worth it to pay more and get what we thought was good quality so we spent a lot of money on dining room chairs. After using them for a day, we noticed gouges and scratches in our hardwood floors. One of the chair legs had a nail sticking out the bottom of it! We called customer service to let them know and couldn’t get through to anyone who cared or had the authority to help. It was impossible. The ineptness and lack of quality customer service, not to mention quality control in their products does not go along with the high prices at this store!

I bought a beautiful dresser from them and was quoted delivery 12-26 September....well now its 29 September and still no dresser. I tracked the shipment and saw the delivery quote had changed to 5-25 October. I received no email or phone call to communicate the change. I'm so disappointed in the company. I will not be shopping with them again, which is a shame because I love their furniture and have bought from them in the past.

Terrible Customer Service experience, I called to ask if I could return a pottery barn kids item in the store and they said yes, after 30 minutes of them trying to process the return they told me to leave and they would call me when they figured out “how to do it”. I left called back twice, and finally got a hold of a manager who said, who said that “I was told that my return would be processed” when I asked for some kind of confirmation, he called customer service to realize that in fact they had not processed the emerch credit, and then was rude and said you’ll be getting a gift card in the mail that will take 20 days. All in all, 3 hours to return a baby gift.

We bought a new bed frame 6 months ago. After 40 or 50 phone calls we still do not have our bed. We tried 2 different customer service numbers and can not speak to any one. We have heard multiple reports. The original warehouse was closed. It’s supposed to be shipped to the Raleigh warehouse. The store in Wilmington has really been no help. Be very careful if you need to order something and being told you will get it in a couple of months

Terrible experience, long time customer, got a bed for $2500, broken almost immediately, pottery barn said tough luck, do not buy from them, they take your money and assure the highest quality, yet do not stand behind that promise of high quality. Worst customer service ever, like I said do not shop with them, go to there competitors that will actually go out of their way to help you with high dollar items that break.

Horrible customer service. Few of the staff is helpful or responsive. Calvin is the one bright spot in this otherwise useless store. Mary, the manager could care less that her staff is incompetent.

So inept that is now comical. In early January, we ordered well over $10,000 worth of furnishings for our new home. I realize that's a small amount compared to what others spend at PB, but it was a painful amount for us to part with. Our expectations were that a higher-end store like PB would have their act together. Here were are at the end of April and still don't have one of the "clearance" items we ordered - actually one of the three shipments did arrive. The other two have repeatedly been lost, transferred from warehouse to warehouse, put on delivery trucks that didn't bother to show up, and on one occasion the driver simply decided to "cancel" the delivery during the day it was scheduled. Calling customer support is comical, you get transferred 5-7 times and nobody can give you the status. Meanwhile they charge quite a bit of money for delivery that they refuse to refund - even though we were explicitly told at the store that this particular item was readily available and could be delivered within days (not months) because it was a clearance item. Too bad their logistics and customer support are so, so terrible because they have great products.

I have been on the hunt for curtains for my home for a while now and had no idea where to start. I ended up walking into Pottery Barn to an extremely welcoming staff and was excited to hear about their design service they offered. Through that, I met Cindi Tilley. She is amazing to work with. She is honest, super helpful, and knowledgeable. She came out to our home to measured our windows and sliders and helped us decide exactly what was needed for each room. She made this process so easy and fun! It has been a wonderful experience!
