My girlfriend bought a vehicle from here for $16,000, absurd price for such a piece of crap they didn’t even bother fixing before selling. after purchasing we knew it was too good to be true, when she supposed to be pre approved, talk numbers, and talk about vehicles. He pre approved her then said the car was hers before even talking about anything. Which we both trusted him. Biggest mistake we made. It had a very slight wobble at high speeds when she purchased it, and it’s gotten worse. I thought it was an unbalanced tire, uneven wear, or a brake rotor, but I found out it’s a ball joint and a control arm. The owners brother said he noticed it before they even listed it for sale. Of course she wasn’t told anything before she purchased it. the tires were all under DOT regulations, and dry rotted. Why wasn’t anything fixed before being sold for an absurd price? It didn’t even last 30 days. It had to get towed twice and It’s been in the shop 4 or 5 times in 2 months for some pretty big repairs. They for some unknown reason replaced the coolant with water, right before winter, and it’s continuing to overheat after being in the shop 5 times. we are both very disappointed in the repairs. But it came with some sort of warranty so it covers part of the repair cost. However it only lasts until 175k miles, so it’s pretty close to expiring, which was another thing she wasn’t told about. As a mechanic I knew the vehicle she was purchasing had a reliable motor, and I understand vehicles need repairs and maintenance, but not something new every 5 miles. Don’t ever buy a car here. It will leave you stranded. And if you do, read the fine print. Lots of them are flood cars or auctions. and don't listen to the owners advice on reliability or repairs, he's not a mechanic. he just wants the money in his pocket.

David cares about his customers. If you dont like a car after a test drive he will keep at it till you find one that fits the bill and work with you to make it happen. Highly recommend!!

The owner is a nice gentleman, but the past 2 vehicles I have gotten off them have been horrible. My recent vehicle that I had gotten off them started out great, and after only having the vehicle for 4 months, guess what.... it's acting up. My first vehicle, I got off him latest a total of 6 months. The people who work there and the owner are nice, but I will not purchase another vehicle off of them. Hoping this will help others and also find its way to the owner to hopefully change somethings at this location.

Getting a vehicle at Crompton’s Auto was the best place I could ever get a vehicle from. The owner was very nice and took his time doing all the paperwork and explaining all the details. Very friendly. I went to buy a car alone. As a female (who knows nothing about cars) I'm always very skeptical to go to car shops, or anything of the sort, without my father. I had no fears or worries once I left Crompton's with my purchased car. They treated me like family, I honestly felt like I had known them for years. I spoke with the owner, his son and his wife, everyone treated me like I was more than a customer. I'll never forget their kindness. After speaking with my dad about the car, and letting him drive it (after it was purchased) he told me I got a great deal as well. The company is friendly, and my car/price for the car is dad approved. I couldn't ask for anything better. My little white car (Pegasus) is still doing fine almost two years later, and no work has needed to be done to her aside from regular maintenance, like an oil change.Thank you Crompton's!!!!!!

I do not recommend purchasing a car from Crompton's. I was sold a car that had not been serviced, coolant take was bone dry. The next day the car would not crank and they would not answer the phone. I took the car in to be looked at and the turbo was bad. Should I have had the car checked before buying it? Yes. However, when did people become so corrupt? I do not want to be the person who thinks everyone is crook even if it is the truth. Beware

I bought a Grand Cherokee in 2012 from David. David took good care of me price wise, maintenance, etc with that car. I still have the Grand Cherokee and have purchased a '09 Wrangler and a '13 Grand Cherokee from Crompton's as well over the past 5 years. And will purchase from them again! Always treats you like family and takes care of you not just in the purchasing process but any issue and of course anytime you stop by or see them out and about.
