My best friend and I close the place last night looking for Christmas items to decorate my home for a house tour. Our development is having to raise money for people who can’t afford heat this winter. It’s an amazing event. A lot of work and a lot of money is spent by the homes that are decorating, but it is so rewarding and so worth it.?

Typically I don't go into Hobby Lobby unless I have a lot of money and time because I have and will get stuck looking at everything in there and wanting to buy most of it! Today was no exception. For the most part it's a fantastic store with amazing products although I couldn't find the right color of paper for a project which was disappointing. They need more poster board color options like maybe 2 aisles instead of just half of 1.
The only negative was when I ended up choosing a bolt of fabric in a color that would work since they didn't have the paper BUT I thought I'd found a defective bolt of fabric in the clearance section that was only $2.... Instead at the cash register, I was kind of embarrassed that even though it was defective fabric with spots on it that deemed it inappropriate for regular sale and in a clearance area with other remnants still had to be measured and then my awesome find turned into $10.
I was exhausted by this time and thirsty and they sell a ton of candy at the checkout but no water or drinks so I had to go all the way back to the fabric area and wait for it to be measured and THEN go all the way back up to the checkout to pay and go to my car.
They should have signs everywhere to let people know that ALL fabric even the remnants, even the clearance, even the defective MUST be measured prior to purchase because not everyone knows that and it would save extra time and embarrassment.

I only go there for the paracord. They have a decent selection. Wish they had more colors and jigs to make certain things. The staff is always helpful and nice to me.
