Loved visiting Eck in Seagrove. He gave my wife and myself a great demonstration and made creating a bowl look so effortless. My wife ended up buying a bowl and loved it. We would definitely come back the next time we’re visiting Seagrove.

We got lucky and happened upon Eck creating a piece outside discussing his technique and the entire process he goes through to create his unique style. One of the best artists we got to meet and talk to. Highly recommend dropping by his studio.

McCanless Pottery has a unique glaze/paint/finish to their works that I haven't found at other studios. Very identifiable and not something you would find in a store. Beautiful work!

Eck McCanless Pottery specializes in Agateware pottery made by turning multiple colors of clay on the wheel at the same time. The outside of the pots are then hand carved to create beautiful patterns. Visit the pottery shop and see how it's made. Eck's Agateware is food, oven, microwave and dishwasher safe.
