5100 Lacy Ave, Raleigh“Love this place! Good prices and great vibes. Very convenient location, once I ran down from The Raleigh Times to grab a flannel because I didn't expect it to be cold on the roof, and it's one of my favorite flannels.”
10AM - 6PM
2821 Brentwood Rd, Raleigh“Massive selection of clothes, home goods, baking supplies, sporting equipment, and books!! Lots and lots of books and a lot of them in fairly good shape!! A great little thrift store.”
“I love this thrift store! I recently discovered it and I have only been a couple of times now but every time I go the energy there is so positive and fun that it is contagious. The staff can be overheard singing to the fun music and laughing with each other. They have great prices and a great selection. If you follow them on social media they post all their sales for the week on Sunday or Monday.”
“They have LOTS of nice furniture. I feel like the prices are kind of inconsistent though. Stuff that should be cheap is over priced and large pieces are underpriced haha, but definitely some great pieces for great prices, furniture wise. I got these great books for free outside the other day.”
“This is by far my favorite thrift shop in the area! I've gotten some really good deals on kid's and women's clothes. Highly recommend -- not to mention they raise money for dogs and cats!!”

1012 Oberlin Rd, Raleigh“Been to the Southern Women's Show the past 3 years and I've always found name brand clothes for a great price. Love shopping here when I come to the show. Money goes to a great cause too.”
“The best thing about this little gem of a shop is their staff! So friendly and helpful. You never know what you might find, so come often! Great prices and an even better cause. We are happy to support them!”
“Love this store! They have a great selection of furniture, tiles, pictures, and lamps. I'm only leaving 4 stars because some of their prices are a little high. Not terrible, but could be better. Definitely check this place out if you are in the area!”
10AM - 8PM
2161 Avent Ferry Rd Ste 200, Raleigh“I love this place for the latest fashions at incredible prices! Always a sale going on. Compared to other stores similar to Uptown, they have the best prices! I highly recommend them!”
“I was very pleased with my first visit experience over the weekend. I visited from out of town and decided to stop by. This shop is located inside a church, which I thought was a little weird. It was at the end of long hallway and the interior was quite dark, including the dressing rooms, which made it hard to get an accurate read on color and fit. However, they had some really cute women’s clothes and I picked up 4 blouses for $17. The cashier was super nice, informative, and helpful. These are by far the cutest clothes I’ve purchased from a thrift shop. The cashier (and person in charge of oversight) is doing a fantastic job at selecting items customers will love. She definitely has an eye for design and fashion. I wish we had similar selections in more thrift stores!”
“This is my favorite thrift store in Raleigh! They have tons of great stuff and are always putting things out. Great place to donate as well because a portion of proceeds go towards the shelter.”

9650 Strickland Rd Suite 161, Raleigh“My dog Duke and I have been coming here since they opened and everyone that volunteers and works for this great organization needs to be commended for the good work that they are doing.A special shout out to Joy who is always professional and a pleasure to interact with, and of course Caroline who is always friendly and extremely diligent at the checkout. If you have not been here, make plans to visit soon! I’d give them 10 stars if that was an option.”
11AM - 4PM
1621 N Market Dr, Raleigh“This thrift store is well organized and fairly priced. It's not the biggest thrift store, but don't let that fool you. They have quality used items and limit down the clutter, so the space is used up well.”
10AM - 5:30PM
1657 N Market Dr, Raleigh“I will support almost any organization that helps animals, and I'm so happy I found this place! I went in to donate a few clothing items I no longer wanted and was able to briefly visit with a few kitties that are up for adoption. If you have items you no longer wantb or need please consider donating them here. Only 4 stars because I was underwhelmed by the vibe of the employees. I am chalking that up to me arriving as they were opening and taking care of the kitties, cleaning their cages. I will definitely give them another shot.”

#204 Dept 47932, 5540 Centerview Dr, Raleigh“This is a nice store. They are always organized and always polite. All items may not be as cheap as you want because they are sending the money they make to help abuse survivors, and I'd definitely pay more for that cause. In addition, most of the items have been researched before pricing and are reasonable, and they almost always have some sort of sale going on (it's posted on the door). Sometimes they have free items outside, and I took a futon home with the help of one of the workers who let me borrow moving straps AND secured it to the car for me. This is a great place and I will follow them when the store relocates very soon.”

6007 Hillsborough St, Raleigh“A very amazing experience at this store. The owner was very friendly and gave us a great deal on a large volume of items my wife and i were purchasing. It was such a great deal we decided to buy more itms that she also gave us a great deal on. Don't let the outside of the place fool you. This place is a must stop for deal shoppers.”
“NEWS FLASH!!! – Homelessness and food insecurity are MESSY, and often times, so are the caring people who try to alleviate it. Why? Because there’s no money, no glory, and no accolades for helping the neediest people. The people who take care of the neediest are not “professionals” with MBAs and law degrees. They aren’t lobbyists, politicians, PR professionals, event organizers, or polished speakers. They the salt of the Earth. Yes, Helping Hand Mission IS dirty, disorganized, jumbled, and frustrating. I’ve been volunteering there on and off for 15+ years, and I am well aware of their shortcomings. BUT, their hearts are in the right place. Sylvia Wiggins, the founder, isn’t lining her pockets with gold, as one person cruelly suggested. They charge for items because they have pay rent, salaries, utilities, insurance, phone bill, and much more. They can’t help people if they get shut down. Yes, they can be rude – especially to people sent there to do mandatory community service. It’s not nice. BUT, they are still helping people, feeding people every day at New Bern House, providing shelter for women and children, and collecting donations for people in need. It’s very easy to be critical of someone who didn’t show up at your door on time, or refused to take certain items – what an inconvenience for you and your busy day!! Sorry to burst your first-world bubble, but they don’t operate for your convenience. Their employees are underpaid, overworked, and under trained. They do the best they can. If you want to effect change, go volunteer to clean up their roach infested place, to organize the jumble of goods in their facility, to answer phones professionally, or to drive around and pick up furniture. Instead of trashing the people who are trying to do good, help them do better. ‘Nuff said.”
“Wow today was such an amazing surprise. They have the right amount of vintage and gently used items today. I hardly ever come in and not at this time of day. So I really encourage y'all to drop in, especially if you love vintage items.”
“This is an alright thrift store but the selection is pretty limited and things can be pricy. Unfortunately they don't have much in terms of clothing, but they did have a good selection of jewelry which was also fairly priced. They were also really friendly here!”

1677 N Market Dr, Raleigh“You can find lots of stuff here. Very cheap and the things here are actually kind of nice. You can actually sometimes find expensive brands here. I come at least once a week to this Goodwill. Have never had any problems and the people who work here are nice. Just never buy the stuffed animals, pillows, or bedding from here. It's probably disgusting. Just don't. But yeah the clothes are nice and there's a good selection. It's very organized and I like that.”
9AM - 8:30PM
9005 Baileywick Rd, Raleigh“Great location and easy to donate even on a Saturday morning - the only issue I have had over the past two years is no help with unloading and very little respect for fragile items as it seems more important to fill the bin than protecting the individual donations - this is where incentives between giver and receiver are not aligned.”
9AM - 7PM
10701 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh“Good selection at this time of year. A gentleman loaded a piece of furniture I picked up. Found two folding doors for $15 a piece that were in perfect condition and fit my laundry room. Will definitely visit this place more often.”

4401 N New Hope Rd, Raleigh“Five stars for keeping calm and polite while a crazy woman screamed and ranted about a bunch of pots not being as cheap as she wanted them to be. Was very impressed with the manager for doing such a great job of diffusing the situation and calming down the woman without just giving in to her demands.”

4801 Grove Barton Rd, Raleigh“You never know what you will find at any GCF. I had been looking for bedside lamps on Amazon for weeks. The local GCF had 2 lamps that caught my eye were such a great price. They are adjustable height lamps that work perfectly and had shades included. My plan is to bedazzle and bling lamps but current conditions are so nice I just cleaned lamps and put new bulbs in to start using them. I cant believe I only paid $7.99 each. Very sturdy, classic lamps were a true steal when you consider even at Ross ,Marshall's or other discount stores these lamps would easily sell for over $50 each. Now im pulling them into my Alexa system and LET THERE BE LIGHT”

7941 Skyland Ridge Pkwy, Raleigh“All the stars go to Lee!! He was the cashier today when my friend I were shopping!! He greeted us with a warm welcome and a smile!! Very polite and kind!! Though this is not my favorite location due to many reasons however having customer service like Lee provided today, it’s well worth coming back. As we checked out he said “Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!” I have NEVER been to a location with much exceptional customer service!! This world needs more people like him!! All the stars for Lee!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“Absolutely AWESOME hidden gem! This is a great establishment, the prices are the fairest in Raleigh I've seen and they get SOOOOO many awesome treasures ? not to mention the employees are THE NICEST I've ever encountered!”
