It doesn't appear to be the friendly small town pharmacy, but its customer service feels more like it than the big W across the street. Much more assistance managing drug shortages. Offers communication about difficulties about rx. Creative problem solving.

I shop at this Harris Teeter pretty frequently and normally the service is great. I was pretty taken back by the lack of service I received today. I stood at the customer service counter for a few minutes waiting for someone to assist me. There was an employee even possibly a manager named Jon literally standing there watching me stand at the abandoned counter. He chose not to engage with me. After I got fed up and walked off, I watched him walk behind the customer service counter where I assume he works. Pretty disappointing experience. Customer service goes a long way in business and the ball was dropped today.

I rarely visit the pharmacy but this winter has taken a toll on me and I needed cough medication to combat a respiratory infection. My doctor attempted to fill my prescription at Walgreens and that was a disaster. Trying to navigate insurance and co-pay costs became a task.Luckily Harris Teeter appeared in my search for pharmacies who accept Good RX coupons and they were able to quickly fill my prescription, kindly review my insurance coverage in under 15 minutes. The staff is professional and kind and saved me time and money. So glad to have them in my neighborhood and corner.

This was my first time shopping at this location on Wednesday. The store was pretty empty (around 10-11a) and there were a few items that I couldn't find. There was an employee who was doing a shop order for pick up and she stopped what she was doing to help me find what I needed. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff wasn't as helpful. There was only one check out line open - which was fine since it wasn't too busy. However, the lady that was checking people out was new (it was obvious as I stood in line to check out). I was second in line and then the line started to form behind me. The line moved and I was next in line. The line grew behind me with three other people, so four in total. The last lady in line kept getting loud asking if there were any other check out lines open. Obviously there wasn't but she kept pacing around like she was going to make a difference. A man appeared from the door to an office and got someone else to open another check out line. Logically and like EVERY other store does, they grab the next person in line, which would have been me. Instead, they grab the last two people in the line behind me and begun to check them out. That leaves me and the other guy behind me. I am pretty upset as I have been waiting in line with ice cream which has started to melt from my wait and these people decide to get the last people in line who haven't had a wait. Poor customer service. The guy behind me eventually went to the other register when it was my turn to check out. All three people behind me were checked out and gone by the time I finished my small order of less than 15 items. James and Kim (the ones who opened the new line) need to be trained on how to effectively move the line and treat the customers who have been waiting the longest with respect. Kim rang people up while James bagged. Obviously the lady that was on the register I was at needed assistance with bagging to help speed her up. Will not be back to this HT. Thankfully there are others to choose from in this town!

This is for the sandwich making station. Plan on about 20 minutes to get a sandwich if there's no one ahead of you. Otherwise it'll be 30+ minutes. Add more time if anyone gets a cheesesteak. Not sure why they can't seem to make more than one at a time. I've successfully gotten a sandwich here on my lunch break 1 out of 4 tries. 3 of those I ran out of time waiting for my turn and had to just get something pre-made.

There was a woman in this Harris Teeter today with a small poodle on a leash. Clearly not a service animal. Asked the manager and he said they let in emotional support animals- no problem. He also said they don't ask customers with pets why they are bringing them into the store. Shop somewhere else if you find this disgusting.

Arrogant staff. Door was open at 12:05 and the staff waited until I approached check out to tell me they were closed. Should have stayed a Kroeger.

I appreciated that they spruced the place up when the Publix became their neighbor. I generally go to the Publix to get what I need as the prices are so much better. But Publix doesn't have all the items I normally buy, so I head to Teeter after to finish up getting a few things. Publix checkout is always a breeze. Fast, friendly, efficient. Even the self-checkout. Harris Teeter, on the other hand, is not a breeze. Of the at least dozen checkout lanes available, one or two are open so the self-checkout line backs up in the the grocery aisles. If the machine pauses and says help is on the way, you're going to stand in front of it repeating "help is on the way" while you stare at the front desk waiting for them to stop chatting and come help. And it's only been getting worse. To the point that other customers and I have joked around about being eligible for a senior citizen discount by the time they get around to remembering they're at work. I've seen people abandon self-checkout and move to a cashier at a register, and have done this myself. If you are in a hurry, Teeter is not the place. If you can't find an item somewhere else, though, you're gonna have to suck it up and deal with staff chatting with each other instead of helping customers.

Why does Harris Teeter always have the worst produce? (Rhetorical) The watermelon is bland The cherries are always tart The Brussels sprouts are always soft The kale is usually wilted If only they paid attention to the produce like they pay attention to their physical plant. I wonder if the owners of Harris Teeter shop there...my guess would be that they opt for Whole Foods.

This Harris Teeter is the best grocery store ever! If you want anything they will jump through hoops to get it for you. I needed ten 11 packs of Iced tea they ordered them called me when they came in. James the manager is always friendly and helpful. We came from the north he has gone and ordered Salem hot dogs you can't beat this store.. they even take Public coupons st I don't have to go to that store.
