I've been a loyal customer for years because my daughter loves crafting. But after this recent experience, I think it's time to say goodbye.So, I ordered five items online with a good discount. When I went to this store to grab them, only one item in the bag, and the other four got canceled because they were "out of stock."I tried to search for substitutes in the store and found the exact color pads and pan sets I ordered online. Checked my order, – same picture, brand, and product name.Then I brought the items to the cashier and asked if I could still buy them, the cashier said she wasn’t sure if they were the same. She told me I could buy them online or in-store but no more discount.Later I brought this to the online customer service rep. He said they had no control over specific store and suggested I buy in a different store, which is ridiculous. But he agreed to escalate it the management.Anyway I won’t buy from Michaels’s anymore.

Wish I had the same experience that Mr. Wilkerson had regarding fabric services. It took 20 minutes to get anyone to come cut fabric to length. The Employee call button is apparently nonfunctional. I went to the front of the store to find multiple Michaels employees just chatting with one customer in the check lanes. Man, I miss the Joann Fabrics over here... ?

Had to purchase some fabric for crafting with my Grandson today. He rang the button at the cutting service and a wonderful attendant came quickly, cut our four fleece pieces, and all with a smile and kind words in regards to his project. At checkout, I had a coupon from the web that had expired and once again we encountered another helpful and kind young woman who found a working coupon code for us (20% off)!I would highly recommend Michael's in Cary not only for their merchandise but for their top rated customer service!We made this stuffed toy from a video game character! Wonderful experience with custom framing. My second time bringing a large print to be framed and again they did great work. The dimensions were a bit challenging but we were helped until a solution was achieved. Excellent custom service. I will be back for custom framing services in the future. Reasonably priced for upstanding work.

Becoming less and less of a fan of Michael's. The employees, what few there are, are not personable at all. We recently went to 2 different locations and had the same experience at both places. It seems the employees are taught to NOT look the customers in the eyes or even speak to them. At the register neither cashier looked at as. They didn't tell me how much my purchase was or anything. They just stood there waiting for me to pay but never told me how much it was or that they were even done ringing up my purchase. I finally just stuck my card in and paid. At this location the cashier never spoke to me until after I paid. She then handed me the hand basket and asked me to put it away on my way out. Like, wow!! Really? No thank you, or anything.

Went to give my ups return because it says "ups access point" on the door. Waited on line for 15 minutes because there was one register open and there were two people asking about discounts and having millions of conversations with the cashier. Cashier called for backup only because people in line were complaining. I finally get up to the register and am told they cannot return my package because they cannot scan a return QR code. Actual morons. While trying to scan my QR code, the associates were trying to remember their logins for their UPS app. And where they put the packages is not secure, it's a basket. So after waiting 15 mins, I was told they cannot do anything. False advertising and stupid staff.

Best Michael's in the Cary/Morrisville area. The staff is very helpful, the management is dedicated and the Replenishment team works so hard to make sure the shelves stay full. Also has a decent selection of fabrics; nice surprise.

This store is clean and well kept. I am taking down 2 stars for the custom frame department. I recently got two pieces of artwork custom framed. The quality was good and I’m happy with it. However, the “specialist” was not friendly, welcoming or helpful when ordering. Then, I was called and told my pieces were ready. I decided to call before I went on Saturday afternoon / evening to grab them, and I was told I could not get them until Monday when the frames specialist was there from 10-3 (not ideal for many who work regular work hours; also, why would I need the frame specialist for picking up?!) I made arrangements to get there and then there was a sign that said the specialist wasn’t there until 11. Thankfully the kindest employee was able to help me and easily got them for me. She informed me I could get them in the future without the specialist there.

I have been to this Michael’s on several occasions recently. They’ve had everything this amateur hobbyist needs, and the ladies at the register are all very sweet and patient. Great experience!

They have a lot of cool art supplies, I always feel inspired to create every time I go here. My one complaint is that it is a little confusing to find certain products but I don't mind exploring a little.

Majority of the staff here is rude. One woman working on 2/28 in the morning, I think she was a manager, was not interested in helping or, at the bare minimum, being kind when spoken to. This has happened multiple times at this store, it's unfortunate.

love the store, unfortunately severely understaffed and under manned. the woman working as cashier on the night of 1/30 was very kind but completely lacking in common sense. i looked around for another associate but saw nobody and felt too bad to say “can i speak to someone else? you’re not grasping what i’m saying” so i left empty handed. told her i had placed an online order for 2 small items that day and hadn’t yet received the confirmation it was finished but was hoping to grab it before close and even said i would go grab the two items and come clear it with her before leaving. she walked me over to the online order pickup to look for my name. i clarified that it wasn’t ready yet , that i was just hoping to grab it before close because it was two things i could go point at. she asks for my order # and looks it up on her computer and then tells me it’s marked not ready for pickup…..i know…i told her that three times… a simple “im sorry, if you didn’t receive the email we won’t be able to fill that for you before close!” would’ve been way less frustrating than a wild goose chase when the entire point of online ordering is to save time

This is my first time experiencing such horrendous customer service here, so AWFUL that there is no way I will return to this location. I've reached out to corporate and submitted a review to management as well because there is no way these employees should continue interacting with customers without appropriate training and/or recourse.
