Rented a U-Haul to move my daughter back to ECU in Greenville NC. Roughly a four hour drive. Bill was great. Very professional. Truck was ready out front when we got there and surprisingly clean to have 102k plus miles on it. Ran like and 1933 clunker. This thing was so loud you couldn’t talk in the cab when you accelerated. Truck was also out of line bad. Apparently also had power steering issues because you really had to turn the wheel left to get the truck to actually turn left. Longest, loudest four ever drive I have ever done. Truck desperately needs to be put in the shop or discontinued. So my complaint is truck should never have been rented in this condition. Period. Very back customer service to impose that truck on someone. There is NO WAY they didn’t know. Too loud. I should have took it back but he told me that’s all they had and we were in a pinch for time so. Be sure you check the equipment before you leave. Also he didn’t tell me the truck was that loud until after we did the paperwork and took my money. Seems like I should have been told upfront.

Rented a U-Haul from this location, I did the rental online, and when I went to pick up on a Sunday I had some technical issues on my end, thankfully the office was open on Sundays (not typical to find in the storage business) I went inside and Bill was so helpful and so kind walking me through and getting everything figured out! Highly recommend!!

Overall the staff was good but that’s where everything ends.They didn’t have any major supplies available but even that wasn’t a big inconvenience. They gave me a truck with dead / faulty battery. They gave me the truck while ignition was on, I drove it that way to home, parked and filled it up to drive the next ~1100 miles and the truck wouldn’t start. Immediately knew battery is dead. Called their road side assistance and they agreed the battery had gone bad way back and they had to put in a new one. So you’d think someone would put a thought into giving you a solid truck as you’re driving 1000+ miles. This whole experience delayed the plans exponentially.What if I was stranded in the middle of nowhere at night with this dead battery? Overall the due diligence on their end is zero. Not only that but I got a truck from some grandfather’s generation which literally creeks every step it takes and keeps on tumbling. Controls in the cabin sucked, go karts might have a better steering wheel than whatever generation of a truck this was. No cruise control, nothing and rollup windows with jammed side mirrors.Also from the moment I got the truck, the engine light was on, I messaged them to inquire if it is okay to drive like that and got no response at all.Due to this experience I decided not to pickup the car trailer from them as I was going to because I couldn’t risk a $100K car hauling on an equipment provided with this level of negligence.

I used Superior Storage for the better part of 2 years. They're personable, efficient, and accommodating. Online pay was a breeze, the gate system is quick and EZ, the units are well lit inside and out. I'd recommend them to anyone needing storage in the Charlotte/Mint Hill or surrounding areas.

Great service. Very personable. Offered us a complimentary drink. Only Gripe is that it is not easily noticed as a uhaul from the road. Honesty as well.
