“Great place to get sweets or a few other items from your trip. Always have saltwater taffy and a good variety. Got a fudge bar that was really good, too. Staff was friendly and helpful.”
“Do you have a sweet tooth? Are you currently in OBX? Well then head on over to Forbes. Seriously. This confectioner states they have famous taffy and fudge, but they have so much more. Do you remember penny candy? Well....it's no longer a penny but I bet Forbes has your fav. I was excited to see such a variety. If you are looking for souvenirs then you can also find a bevy of really nice things to gift friends and family (or yourself) to remind you of your trip. The only stroke was the lack of red coins. I'm not fond of red hot dollars but the gummy cherry coins are my fav...and I couldn't find them.”

The other items in the store were a bit pricy for candy you can buy at the grocery store (nerds rope, etc). Staff was kind but not very attentive. They spent a good deal of time chatting/gossiping behind the counter.”
“I've visted many a fudge shop. Vanilla fudge was a delight and we were pretty happy with the prices, upfront explanation of expected cost and friendly staff. Definately a notable experience to our visit here!”
“When visiting the beach it's nice to splurge a little, on good things. This fudge is is definitely worth the trip! Made fresh in the store daily, cooked in a copper pot, spread on marble cooling tables, then shaped into "loaves" and cut into half pound slices for sale. Today they had 14 flavors. Georgann was super friendly and so helpful. They also have chocolate treats, candy apples, pralines and ice cream (nearly flavors) with fresh made waffle cones... so tasty!”
“There is a super tiny sign on the back of the parrot that says your liabile if your not watching your kids an they break stuff so be prepared lol. It’s a cool stop, yes. Is some of the things over priced, absolutely. A toy truck that comes apart with a screw driver is listed as $7 when I can buy the whole set with 4 cars for $9 at CVS. The candy is almost $7 for 1/2 a pound. We bought almost nothing an some how still spent $20. There’s kids little machine rides but there hidden on the sides inside. The cashier is on the whole other side.
Kid-friendliness: I’d be careful bringing in little kids”
