Dr. Newman is the best. She is a very kind woman who genuinely takes pride in her work. She has her patients best interest at heart and is always willing to go the extra mile. 10/10 recommend Dr. Newman. Aspen itself has a frustrating automated system so that’s why 4/5.

My visit went well, everyone was very nice and made me feel comfortable . The dentist said I needed an antibiotic . She would call it into my pharmacy. Well that did not happen. I'm guessing dental health is not on thier priority list. I tried to call them and they would pick up the phone then hang up.so i got hung up on 3 times. If thier was an issue , I would think I would have at least gotten a courtesy call that my prescription was not being called in. Not happy about my first experience. I thought I had found a dental clinic that actually cared about thier patients dental health.

Scheduled just a basic cleaning…knowing more work would be needed later down the road but not today. Did not even get a cleaning but they graciously gave me a dental care plan to the tune of $2.2k. With the, also gracious, offer to set up a payment plan and come back at a later date to have anything performed. Again, just wanted a cleaning. I did get X-rays taken though…so there’s the silver lining…if there is one. I walked out and will not be back. They also tried to charge me for a “mandatory “ cancer screening at a $30 fee. I wish I could make this up…very disappointing. Also felt as the staff were very fake friendly. Honestly, worst dental appointment I’ve experienced in my 47 years.

The whole experience from the first person I spoke with and set up my new patient appointment, to all the ones in between, and of the financial person was such a big help! I was so nervous to go in now I'm confident that I'll be completely comfortable with all my follow up appointments! This place is great!

I was there for hour 45 min. Had x-rays waited, had three hygienist come in did measurements, talked to me about a periodical treatment, cuz I have bone lose, meanwhile I just had my teeth done 6 months ago. Waited some more, for the dentist, he gave me the same story and said legally we have to do a deep cleaning before we can do a regular cleaning. Sorry NO tks, you got my husband with that, not me. Oh and don't forget to pay 30$ for a blue light they shine in your mouth to check for cancer, and take your blood pressure. Whole thing is a scam. I say. Never going back.

The location in Jacksonville is their home office. The building in Morehead City doesn't look six months old. The building in Jacksonville might be two or three years old. Both locations give off the same vibe. You feel like you're getting ready for a mission when they come through a triple layered hundred and fifty pound laminated door. That's if it's anything like their bathroom door. You probably think I'm kidding. I am just a little bit, though. Just look at the photos of either location and just the design, which makes it like a giant (safe room), not to mention the space age looking technology in and outside . I'm talking about the black phone mounted to the twenty inch brick wall just outside, the front door. Besides all the James Bond stuff, the staff is extremely attentive, but in a friendly way. The only issue in the Jacksonville office location, limited parking, and entering and exiting could be dangerous if you don't pay attention, especially exiting. Jacksonville has a lot of blind or partially blocked eye lines due to limited property availability. The Morehead City location has tons of parking spaces, which are made for real vehicles, not just golf Carts and Mazda Meades.

Aspen Dental was one of the worst experiences at any doctors office I have ever been. My experience with Aspen Dental in Jacksonville NC was lacking the professional care I expected. Only saw a dentist for a total of three times to get a total of 17 extractions and a top set of dentures with a partial plate on the bottom. Note that there was no pieces to hold my partial in. They relied on the dental assistants to fit and do everything except my extractions. Found it difficult to get follow up appointments. There is no way I would ever go back there. As a matter of fact I will go some where else to get fitted for my final particular. They just lacked the professional care I expected from a world renown dental office.

This has to be one of the WORSE Dentist offices I’ve ever encountered. My mother has been going here for about a year and continuously has a tooth they have “fixed” break repeatedly. They continue to charge her every single time to fix it, even if it’s only been a week since they last fixed it. They ordered the wrong color tooth for her and now she has to wait even longer. She always waits 2 hours or more when she has an appointment and they never offer her any refund or any type of compensation for her pain or suffering and time. So unprofessional! I would not recommend this place to ANYONE!

top notch work, dentists\medical staff are great, 5 stars. However, their ability to manage office staff and operations, answer phones, bill you properly and make appoints for you, is 1 star at best of not lower. prepare for headaches and hassles around the good work they do on your teeth.

Long Review Warning!First and foremost, the staff is uneducated in their practice areas, two, the staff is not professional nor do they act as if they are in a professional setting.I started my motto journey in Nov of 21. I started with a 22 week entire process. However as of today in 2023 I am still undergoing treatment due to this staff. As stated above, I started my treatment with 22 trays, half way through my lrocess they lost my trays so I had to be scanned again. I called the office weekly asking for my trays for a total of 6 weeks. The office told me my trays were not in. Come to find out the trays had been there the entire time. In result, due to their malpractice they lengthend my motto journey from 22 weeks to 33 weeks. Completed the 33 weeks and my bite was worse than it was begore I started. Why? Because someone scanned my teeth wrong and resulted in not fitting the left side correctly. Go in last month for scan to get refinement trays a total of 14 needed. Go back to the office on Tuesday of this week, the staff had no idea what they were doing. Completed IPR on my teeth. First with a handheld device which caused extreme discomfort, the hygienist told the dentist they did not have the attachment (they did, they used it before). So about 10 mins of that, they go and find the attachment for IPR. Complete that. Create 3 gaps in my teeth. Then, ask me to put my trays on. Dentist said he didnt know how to. Then I tell them they dont fit correctly. Another hygienist comes in and says wear them for two weeks and see what happens. Knowing they dont fit. They didnt check the trays at all. They left the attachments on my teeth, the aligners had no attachments on them at all. This is why they didnt fit. Which the end result would have messed up my teeth even more. Yesterday I had to go to a new office to remove my attachments, and now I require a new scan and new aligners because Jacksonville messed up so bad. Ive called corporate and I still have to pay over 3k for a terrible experience where they’ve done more damage than good on my teeth. This is a malpractice suit. I do not recommend this aspen dental.Story time!

I was overcharged for my wisdom teeth being taken out. The Dentist or actual surgeon or took my teeth out reassured me that the money would be refunded to me in 22 days. I then call repeatedly because after a month and a half I still haven’t seen any refund. They keep reassuring me every phone call that I’m going to get it. Until last month I get on the phone with someone who says they charged me correctly and will not be issuing a refund. Well I will be finding a new dentist. So I can make sure I’m charged correctly in the future and people aren’t just trying to take my money.

This place....In October 2021 I was told that I had a small cavity and the dentist suggested a filling. I've never really had a problem with any of teeth but I agreed to it. I had the first filling done November 2021. November 2022 that was pain, never had problems with this tooth before. I was told that the bonding didn't hold and had to pay for the procedure again. I had the second filling done, on the same tooth, December 2022. The next I was experiencing pain. Went back in and told nothing was wrong with the tooth. Went back January 4th and was told that I need to make another appointment to file down the filling to cover the filling on the surface to have a smoother surface. Went back and was told that the dentist I saw previously didn't leave any notes. Made another appointment, during that appointment that filed down the filling. This continued on for a few appointments. Eventually they did the cold test and said they must have hit a nerve during the filling. In march I was told that Amy would schedule me a root canal. Well my dental insurance ended in February. Fast forward to May and I am in excruciating pain from the same tooth. My mouth and cheeks began to swell. I was told that the tooth was now infected and needed to pay almost $2400 and that was with the "discount". The dentist wasn't responsible because it's a new procedure. While I was in pain I pushed to apply for credit to pay for the procedure in order to have it done in a timely manner. I was told in March by the nurse that I shouldn't have to pay for it because it was their mistake and I 100% agree. I lost feeling in my bottom lip, chin, and cheek. It is now about a month later and my lip and chin are still numb.I must have seen them at 9-11 times for the same tooth including the appointments in 2021.I took several sick days for nothing to be done. The wait time to be seen for scheduled appointments is ridiculous!I would never recommend this place to anyone! They did cover all the cost of the visits where nothing was done except an xray. They even saw a black spot at the root of the tooth on the xray back in January, February, and March but said it looked normal. They also sent me to the pharmacy with a written prescription for antibiotics because their system was down. Rumor was it was a security breach and they had to shut down their system for a few days. This was a highly unprofessional experience.

Hi there! I'm Crystal! So today, in particular, the systems were down and they couldn't take appointments for anyone due to it.Before this issue, I was amazingly happy with everything. I paid upfront for my teeth pulled and my dentures. I got their most expensive ones because I wanted the best quality I could afford.I got my temporary denture after the procedure and they look so natural that I fell in love with my smile. I can't wait for my permanent denture and I hope it'll be just as amazing. (I'll update my review as my time here goes on)Well, fast forward to today, I had an appointment to get my denture refitted due to the healing process. They couldn't see anyone today unfortunately but thats okay. I talked about it with Amber and Kim but Dr. Cruz happened to be there and I had broken my denture. She said she could take a look at it and fix the small break while I was there. I was super happy about them helping me because the broken tooth was digging into the inside of my lip. They couldn't refit my temp denture but that's okay, I found really strong adhesive and I'll be able to wait until next appointment when they call me back or I call back. (Sometimes they don't have the best communication but they're short staffed and have lots of patients so I don't mind calling in).I paid everything up front for this process and so far I haven't been disappointed. I'm patient. They do try to sell you the best procedure for your mouth but thats what all businesses do and are told to do. If you want something in particular done then just say thats what you want. I did that and they were super nice and conformed to my needs as I communicated them.I have no idea how they handle insurance stuff because I don't have insurance and I paid everything up front with my inheritance money (Best decision of my life so far). They do take awhile to get you into appointments but my whole life this has been a thing with every dentist I've been to so it doesn't bother me. Just make sure you have a few hours of your time reserved for the appointment.I do want to praise Amber and Kim for today. They were super helpful and Dr. Cruz went out of her way to at least fix my broken denture for me. (Their systems are down so they couldn't see anyone today)I'll update this review or give new ones as I go along in the process. I hope this helps anyone out in their decision making. I also hope people will be patient with the lovely women that have helped me today.Review made: April 26, 2023(Will keep updating)

They canceled and rescheduled my appointment 3 times last minute. The first 2 times I got a phone call less than an hour before my appointment saying they needed to cancel. The third time I received multiple confirmations via email, text, and phone call. I drove there and a I was like told there was no hygienist/dentist there just the front desk receptionist. I always schedule my appointments after 4 because that is when I have child care. It seems to me the employees just leave early and cancel the rest of the appointments for the day. I honestly think since their cancellation policy is $25 if you do not give a 24 hour notice then they should owe me about $75 at this point. Their response will be that the dentist and hygienist had to leave for whatever reason but obviously that is not true 3 times in a row. They just want to leave early and cancel the later appointments.
