We just finished our third home project with Black Rock Design Build and could not he happier. We loved all three of their Highlands NC showrooms and their on site designers have always been an enormous help. Thank you again! Barb & Joe

We have used Blackrock on two projects in our home in Sapphire. We could not be happier with the end result. Thompson , Kevin , Mike and the entire crew (sorry I don't have everyones name) are second to no one. The level of detail is top notch. The entire crew is communicative, timely and CLEAN. They have been exceptional in all aspects of our Kitchen Remodel and now Fireplace. We could not be happier. Did I mention the cleanliness, I saw them cleaning up each day. Had all our furniture covered and protected, and today, a cleaning crew has shown up to what appears to be a deeper clean to make as if nobody was ever there. We are more than impressed with Blackrock and will most definitely use them for all of our project list in the future as we update our Mountain Home. If you are looking for an excellent company to do a project, definitely give them a call. Well worth it.

Please be aware, this company will charge your card without any authorization and without even remotely completing the agreed upon job. I HIGHLY recommend that you avoid them AT ALL COSTS. If I could go back in time, I'd have paid double to use any other contractor to complete my kitchen. It has been the biggest headache and what feels like a part time job trying to get them to fix the multitude of mistakes that they have made. For the first few months of this small job, I was very patient and understanding. I am well aware of the supply delays and staffing shortages - so I have been as patient and understanding as possible with the different contractors helping me to complete my remodel. I adequately relayed my plans for my countertops upon the first counter template with Kevin and the experience seemed to go well. When we received the initial template we realized there were several errors. We asked after completing the backsplash installation that the kitchen be re-templates to ensure the counters were cut correctly. Kevin came back out to do the template. Again I relayed what I was hoping to achieve, he measured and confirmed all of the details with me. I did not receive another rendering of the revised countertop template, instead they went back to their business and immediately cut the stone and scheduled to install two days later. When the installers brought the countertops in I noticed that the initial mistakes were made in the cuts. The countertops were several inches from the drawer fronts (nearly my whole hand was covered by countertop before I touch the drawer front), they did not have the windowsill piece, the countertops actually overlap INTO MY DOOR WAY, along with many other details that were not correct. I patiently conveyed the issues via email asking for them to be addressed. Instead I was met with argumentative employees that I hadn't previously communicated with. They were incredibly rude. I emailed with Kevin and Nancy to let them know about the issues with countertops that needed to be addressed. They did not respond to my emails and instead THEY CHARGED MY CARD WITHOUT ANY AUTHORIZATION OR APPROVAL FROM ME. This company runs an unethical and incompetent business. I hope this review spares you the headache I am currently experiencing with this company.

Would not recommend. This business seriously needs to work on customer service. I needed to have extra work completed on kitchen counter tops which i bought from them. I was told they had a big job and would call me back. I havent heard back and its been more than a week. The lady wasnt super friendly and seemed a little irritated that i had called.

Giving 3 starts because their showroom was pretty but the female working at the cabinetry shop was incredibly rude and off putting and lost a huge sale as a result. No thx!!

This company is very professional. I remodeled my kitchen in Sapphire NC, they did my kitchen counter tops. Excellent work! They worked with us on all our details to get the work done well. Highly recommended!

This business is the worst on accommodating it's customers! All we need is for Black Rock to cut the granite out beside our stove so that we can slip the stove in. Black Rock is within 2 miles of our home and this will take 15 minutes to do. They will not call back to schedule. We have used them to put granite in 2 homes- never again! We will find someone next time who cares about customer service and customer satisfaction! Kathleen W.
