I'm glad to finally see they added their prices to the website. I would really like to see them add the charges that reflect length of hair. Or each stylist price range for their services. Especially since they have walk in appointments and there may not be any guarantee that you will get seen by your regular stylist.
My daughter consistently goes to Raysa (who we LOVE) however, we went this past Saturday and she wasn't there. So Wanda Urena did my daughter's hair. The price for a blowout is $50. Raysa charges us $60 for that because my kid has shoulder length hair. Wanda charged $75 for a blowout on shoulder length hair! I feel like she overcharged my daughter because she's 15 and did not have an adult present with her when she paid for the service or she's price gouging! Y'all need to be more transparent about the prices! I once booked an olaplaex treatment that noted $20 online and when I went to pay for it they were like $30! I said well that's not what it says on your website! I don't like that. Y'all have a website for that reason so your customers can decide for themselves what kind of money they want to spend. Please consider these additional suggestions. I must add that we like VIP and the staff. Marilyn is very accommodating when she wants to make it right and I do appreciate that. We love her and Raysa.

I first visited the Harrisburg location 2 years ago. My hair looked beautiful. I began to have to firmly request heat protector. Not to mention the shampooer sometimes yanks and pulls out hair with with comb while hair wet to “detangle”. As time went on I noticed my hair was being burnt off . Or pulled out. When I noticed a raw burn on my ear that was my last visit which was March 2023, 7 months after first visit . I had started doing my own hair, protein treatments, deep conditioning etc. Fast forward to March 2024, I desperately needed a trim. And thought surely they can do that. I had no complaints about trims when going. I went in for a trim only. It went well. Made an appointment for a trim 2 weeks ago. Which was 3 months after my last trim. Called prior to going to verify the time. Got there. Waited 5 minutes or so. Was told I couldn’t be serviced because she was doing box braids. They asked if I wanted to come back later or the next day. Ummm no. I left work and drove all the way here I said. They couldn’t tell me that when I called? She could not have stopped the braids for 10 min to trim my ends? Will not be back. Took a year to repair a fraction of the heat damage, now bad service.

A little over a month ago I went to just cut my ends because they were damaged. I been trying to find someone close to where I live and after so many years I been traveling for almost an hour. Thanks to Maritza who did a great job on my hair not only did she cut my ends, but style it too. I would definitely be going back to her.
Hair type: I have short wavy hair

Let have the service completed with the money plus tip. Only to be charged $60. $60 for curling hair that was not washed, not conditioned nor received any products. That was ridiculous. She called me. I questioned the person over the phone. They claimed it was due to her extensions. Well her extensions are not to her butt. They are past her shoulder blade. Not excessive. If that was truly your price then give an honest quote. You took advantage of a teenager. Never again. You would not have pulled that if an adult was with her. Fortunately there's Dominican-walk in hair salons throughout the Charlotte Community. Just disappointed to have to move on from a Harrisburg small business. Don't mistreat our kids!!!! Enjoy the extra $10!!!

By far the worse experience dye was left in my head for idk how long while the lady that started my head sat & started getting her hair done!! Was there for 4 hours for something so simple a wash, blowout NO DRYER, trim & pin curls !! Not to mention these people charged me $150 for something that didn’t even last by the end of the day do not recommend these people are horrible!

I was late. Not only did Ana accommodate, she cut my hair super quick and did a great job. I will be going to her from now on.

I recently got my hair done this is my second time going to the Harrisburg location and last time I had Wanda but she already had someone so they gave me a lady I think her name was Maria and she left a burn on the back of my neck I’m currently treating now. She burned me like two or three times. She clearly didn’t really feel like doing hair but they had her do mine. Also got my hair washed my hair is natural I have had it braided for a few months no weave just my real hair braided back of course the lady doing my hair doesn’t speak English and I’m not fluent in Spanish she doesn’t comb through my hair prior to washing it. I combed it a little but it’s just unfortunate to pay for hair care and the people not really give you the care you need cause they don’t really want to be bothered with the naps I get it. I won’t be back to this location. I have learned my lesson.

I went to the location in Concord last year and I did not like the shampoo lady and felt like she was speaking badly about me in Spanish. The stylist did a good job; however, I caught on to a few words here and there when the ladies wanted to talk junk. Also, other Spanish speaking customers made it clear that the shampoo lady and stylist were talking badly about black customers.
After reading these reviews, what I felt during my visit has been confirmed. I was considering going back to get my hair done again but this just convinced me not to waste my money and give support to a business that does not appreciate African American customers.
A friend recommended this place and she had stated that her hair texture seems different, as if chemicals are being used. Prior to me thinking of going back, I asked my friend was the same shampoo lady there and she said no; good! That shampoo lady was horrible!! Besides her talking badly about customers in Spanish, she did not know how to detangle hair, she combed and scrubbed too hard. She was horrible at shampooing!!
My advice to the business owner is that you need to get your staff in check. You don't know who speaks or understand Spanish. The world is diverse. You might think a customer may not understand, and you're losing money and customers because African-American women are some of your biggest supporters/clients and negative word of mouth travels fast; especially on social media.

Out of the two locations I go to, that being the concord parkway and Harrisburg, the Harrisburg location is absolutely terrible. They’re never open or they move way too slow. I sat for a hour and half and finally decided to get up and go to the concord parkway location. They had me out in about a hour and half and they were so polite. The lady at the door took me straight to back and got started right away. The Harrisburg location seems to have way more people and yet moves at an entirely different pace, there are people everywhere and yet we sit for a hour every time before we get our hair done. Unacceptable!

UPDATE FROM MY ORIGINAL REVIEW, I ADDRESSED THE SHAMPOO LADY, AND IF YOU READ THE REVIEW YOU WOULD SEE THAT I DID COMPLIMENT THE STYLIST AND I GAVE HER A TIP, THAT OBVIOUSLY SHOWS YOUR LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM WHICH IS WHY YOU WILL NO LONGER GET MY BUSINESS, NO ACCOUNTABILITY FOR YOUR SHAMPOO LADY'S DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR WHAT SO EVER, LIKE I STATED BEFORE IF YOU ARE A BLACK WOMAN DO NOT COME HERE
I just left this salon, & I won't be back, the shampoo lady was rude talking about my hair in Spanish, but then when I replied back in Spanish her tone changed, its absolutely unprofessional and disgusting, you don't know any ones situation, complaining about me not combing my hair and the flakes in my hair due to me using Gel, deciding to do my hair was a last minute thing while I was out, so no I did not comb my hair, I have seen many other reviews about them targeting black women's hair and speaking negatively about them in Spanish, and its sad because black women are the main ones supporting them, so if your a black woman with thick hair, or any other type of texture hair do not come here, go where your celebrated not tolerated, the lady who blew out and flat ironed my hair was extremely nice, but that shampoo lady is rude and lacks professionalism.

My daughter ordered a curling iron from them on Feb 20th and it’s now March 23rd and we still haven’t received it. We’ve contacted them numerous times and haven’t received a response since the original email when we were told it would ship the next day.
