I stopped after hours with a car that I was supposed to take it back to charlotte with an issue that disabled it. The gentleman understood my situation and help me and got back on the road with a reasonable charge. I would highly recommend them.

I came to L&M with extremely high hopes! I had heard so many positive things about Larry’s skill set and all the work he’d done over the years! Made the decision to move forward with L&M because I wanted Larry specifically to work on my vehicle. Walked into L&M in January and dropped my truck off the first week of February. Had a ticking noise in my engine and had been through the wringer of different mechanics playing the guessing game of what it could be— bad lifter? Spark plugs? Etc. L&M diagnosed a few days after drop off and I was contacted stating that it initially sounded like lifters but could also be a timing chain issue but of course we wouldn’t know for sure until they got down there. Within the next week, I was called by Larry with a plan of attack. Weeks after, I found out that the job had been passed to an unknown mechanic, named Malik, who turned out to be FAR LESS than impressive. I found this out after being given the run around for weeks as to why my vehicle was still incomplete considering I was told the job would take 1-2 days max. Malik gravely lacks work ethic and barely showed up for work. To this day, I have never seen him at work as many times as I have stopped in to discuss the work supposedly being performed. There were many nights where he was late and many weekends he did not show. Says a lot about a business owner who does not hold himself nor his employees accountable. For months, I have been given numerous false end dates, lousy repeat excuses, empty apologies and more. My truck has been torn down and put back together more times in the past months at L&M probably more than ever… and for what?? The issue remains. They have collected thousands of dollars from me only to conduct bad business. They took advantage of my kindness and patience. Their major issue is the GRAVE lack of communication. You won’t know anything unless you call them or pop up. And even then, it’s the same old song. There’s a struggle on their part to articulate the status of the work being done on your vehicle. It’s just always “I’m working as fast as I can. I know exactly what I need to do now. I’m planning to work on it tonight. I was heading in there now. I should be able to get it done. Oh I’m sorry I didn’t even make it to it last night. Or I started but stopped to work on something else. But I’ll be in here all night or weekend working on your vehicle. Your vehicle is a priority. I’m gonna work until I get it right. But oh wait I’m so behind right now and this is really affecting me and my business and womp womp womp womp womp womp womp.” They dance around in circles when asked to provide specific details as to the parts being ordered and steps being taken as well as questions regarding timeline. To date (5/23/2024), I have been mishandled completely and STILL do not have a repaired vehicle to show for it. I would NOT recommend. These folks were so kind to me in the beginning. Still are. But BAD BUSINESS HANDS DOWN. Done is an understatement.
UPDATE 5/27/2024: Spoke with Larry Friday evening after having to call multiple times—mind you, there’s a habit of picking up and hanging up and also just flat out ignoring calls altogether until they get tired of it ringing—and made arrangements to retrieve my vehicle today. Calling today and …… you guessed it….. NOTHING!! Obviously you had every opportunity to state that you would not be available today if that was the case, but you didn’t. The lack of integrity is mind blowing at this point guys. I just want my vehicle. $3600 down the drain just like that …
5/28/24:
Spoke with Larry and again, “we’re waiting on parts.” And “I’m working as fast as I can. I’ll call you when it’s ready for pickup.” Mind you, as many times as I’ve heard that since they’ve had my vehicle since February, I have never received a call as assured. New communicated end date is Thursday 5/30/2024. I won’t hold my breath.
Spoke with Larry on 5/30 and he told me flat out, verbatim that he doesn’t care to get my vehic

After posting the review below I was finally able to reach some one. The vehicle needed to be jumped to make it 5 miles down the road and came back complete with an ant infestation. I would never recoomend them again
For over 3 weeks, I, my husband and our employees have tried to get a company work truck back. After being told it was ready. We all have made over a dozen phone calls and multiple trips to attempt to pay for repairs and get possesion back of the vehicle. I have since had to begin renting another truck as it bas been 3 weeks with only one response last monday that the onwer would call us back. We have never heard from them and yesterday the truck moved in the lot. I dont understand why
This used to be my go to shop for repairs as they had done work on a few of my vehicles before but now after having to spend thousands on a rental simply because they wont release my vehicle after stating it was ready is insane.

Mr. Larry and Mr. Joe have been working on both my vehicles for a year now. They are good at what they do. Never had any issues and they treat customers with the upmost respect. I can’t thank these guys enough for what they have done to service both my vehicles.

I was overcharged about $300 here. I was told the total would be about $300 and ended up being $600 when I picked it up.

These folks are great. We needed a mechanic to assess our vehicle, and they were so responsive. They were so thorough in evaluating the cause of our issue. I wish they were closer to my home.

Couldn't ask for a more professional and qualified place to take your vehicle. Lisa at the front desk will answer ANY questions you may have and is always courteous and very well informed. She always goes out of her way to be of service. The best mechanic I know is Larry. Do yourself a favor choose L& M for your auto needs.
