So many places the employees never smile, say thanks or wish you a good day. More stores should insist their employees treat customers with kindness. Of course, customers should be kind too.”
“A nice place to stop during the daily routine or a once-in-a-lifetime stop.
The place has a decent fuel price and a large selection of food and sundries available. My favorite is that they have fresh coffee 24/7.
My negative is that this place is rough around the edges. My guess is to NOT blame the employees as they were aggressively welcoming customers as they came in the door while serving other customers. Even while I was doing self-checkout I was greeted again by the female cashier.
It is just that wet floor signs out on the floor, dirty counters with spills, and trash from recent customers left on the counter. Many slots for creamer were empty and if the plan is not to refill them they should be discarded.
Trash is visible like a wrapped sandwich lying under the water fountain.
This would have been a 2 or maybe a 3 star review but the two female cashiers were very busy and yet continually greeted and interacted with the customers.
I wish corporate would hire more help and not use the excuse of nobody wants to work when the truth us the employees most likely do not get paid for the work load they are expected to do.”

“Coffee is good, not what it used to be and don't under any circumstances order the food. There was a time when I would have recommended it to anyone but not any more. Poor quality and shamelessly over priced.”
“Went on the night of nov. 23rd . Place is supposed to be open 24 hours a day a note on door that said they would open wed morning at 6 :00am the night person didn't go to restroom they just didn't show up. Other than that they have every thing you would ask for drinks,chips,gas,lottery,pizza,fish table,oil,etc.”
“Wake Mart food literally never disappoints. Although I’m sad they got rid of the chef salad, which is what I went to get. But I ended up getting a chicken quesadilla- all the way, no tomatoes. It was delicious. All melt-y and hot! Fries were fresh. Best to call ahead but this came out very quick, while I was on lunch break.”

“When I have had problems getting my insurance company to cover medication, the staff have been really wonderful and successful! However, they appear to be very understaffed regardless of the day or time I have been in the store. The drive up window seems to take a lot of time. There are also few people working in the rest of the store- one person covering the whole place.”

“I got there around 9am on a Sunday and they had a bunch of workers wiping stuff down and taking the trash. I asked if it was alright if I washed my car (I didn't want to get in there way) they were friendly and was happy I was there for a car wash. $3.75 in quarters for 4 mins. I hustled and only took 8 mins to clean my car with some time in between to really use some elbow grease to clean my car while the machine wasn't running. I finished off my car and was very happy with how it turned out in just a short time. Thank you for having a great local diy car wash”

“Great employees and store is always clean. The only thing is this dollar general needs to get ice like all the other ones. You have a lot of people that go out to lake or goes up to hanging rock or even does events in the area but we have to drive to walnut cove or Madison to get ice. I hope they will eventually get some ice there.”

You don't see any place of business anymore, where all employees work together on making their business a welcoming place to be and making sure customers have what they need and are satisfied with their purchase. “i like their fries and rec'd a large portion and great service. Sandwich will be great later after a few minutes in the air fryer or skillet. Just not that hungry at 9:30 in the morning.”

“Exxon gas station provided a convenient stop for fueling up my vehicle. The fuel pumps were clean and well-maintained, and the process of filling up was quick and hassle-free. The prices were competitive and in line with other nearby stations. However, the restrooms were not up to par, lacking cleanliness and supplies. Additionally, the convenience store lacked a wide variety of snacks and beverages. Although my experience was satisfactory for obtaining gas, improvements in cleanliness and store offerings would enhance the overall customer experience.”

“No complaints here. Convenient for gas and snacks. Has diesel gas along with regular fuel. Air pumping stations for a small fee and ice bag machines outside. Clerks were nice as well and everyone had a smile on there face. Thanks!”

“Its no longer really called abes but it will always be known as abes. This place is good have good food to eat, gas prices not to bad friendly cashiers the owner is pretty cool. Go see what you can grab from the mart they have some good selections.”
“Quick, easy, clean, and great prices! Everything you want in a gas station! They also have a drive through area where you can get typical gas stations purchases like cigarettes and snacks. It's great because you just drive right through and never need to get out of the car to go into the store. This is especially nice when you have several kids that are in car seats like me.”

“Excellent convenience store! The staff here are very friendly, helpful, hard working, and love conversation. Always clean, well lit, good prices, good gas, great coffee including a Kureg with multiple choices for any hour of the day, private 1 room bathroom that's always clean and with Real Tree accents, very stylish and fitting for the country area. One of the biggest selections of drinks in the county. Propane, firewood, charcoal, and other necessities are available for your camping needs. Fishing bait, bobbers, and other asscessories for fishing. The Hunt's Pizza shop here makes ready to go slices available at the register and they also take orders and make excellent pizza. There are benches outside that are perfect to stop and enjoy a coke and hot slice of pizza, let your bikes cool, dry off from the local Dan River, or just to sit back and watch the back country scene. And don't let the look of the locals fool you, they are friendly and will help you with directions or even a flat tire!”
