I came in for a pre employment drug screen . Julie & Ms. Carol were very nice ! I would definitely return only to this particular location . I had a negative experience at another location so I would stick with this one in the future . They both exhibited top tier service from the medical staff to the front desk ladies great customer service . You can tell they actually care about patients that are coming in . Thanks for all your help ladies !

Perhaps this location is going through a rough patch. On the 18th of September, I visited here having made an appointment for 4pm. This was not helpful in that I waited until after 4:30 to be seen. I had fallen in my home, September 15th, having tripped over an empty milk crate, landing on my right side - full on. Bruised and scraped, it didn't appear to be all that bad. Until terrible groin pain ensued. At urgent care, my exam and x-rays revealed nothing was broken. I was told it was probably a muscle strain (I volunteered to use a cane for the days leading up to this visit). The NP who I was seen by stated that he didn't see anything on the x-rays, but that he would read them that night and call me with any update. I left there with a pain killer and muscle relaxers. I was also told to use Aleve (Naproxen Sodium) for OTC treatment. I believed that I would heal pretty quickly. When I went to my Primary Care Physician the next week, I was sent for x-rays because her diagnosis was that I could have broken something that this urgent care center missed. She was right, and my x-rays showed I had a fractured femoral neck on my right leg. I was in surgery the next day. Although human beings make mistakes sometimes and not all medical professionals are trained equally, I expected to be directed to the ER should things not get better or get worse. Perhaps I would have gotten treatment sooner, and be 2 weeks ahead of where I am now. Additionally, I have Stage 3 Kidney disease and would have never been prescribed drugs containing NSAIDS if the urgent care center did a thorough evaluation of my health history. It's a good thing that my kidneys were not injured by this prescriber. If you trip and fall, get to the ER. They have current radiological equipment that this urgent care center does not. Better results = better treatment and recovery.

I scheduled a 9:15 appointment and at 9:59 I am still waiting. Someone with a walk-in came in after me and got seen before me. It wasn't cheap and I needed seen. I'm never returning.

I they have turned into an appointment only facility which defeats the purpose of an urgent care

Doors say "no appointment necessary" and there is no other signage stating otherwise either before you enter or online so I went for trying to figure out the cause of the severe ankle pain I was experiencing because it was the closest medical facility near us. Receptionist turned around like we were interrupting her conversation with just a curt "Yes?" and proceeded to tell us they were only taking appointments so the soonest we could be seen was the next day despite there being no signage or notifications to support this. So glad I hobbled my way inside in excruciating pain to just to be told something they should have had some sort of decency to at least post somewhere so that I, and anyone else in a similar situation, could have been aware of it beforehand. The only beneficial thing from this visit was being directed to a different urgent care.

I've used FastMed Urgent Care (the name has changed a couple times over the years) since I moved to this area in 2004. They've been a (literally) lifesaver to me and my family when we needed emergency care (such as stitching wounds) and when we needed care on holidays outside our GP's office hours. My husband and I are disabled and have chronic health conditions that can't always wait a few days for our family doctor's office to re-open or for an appointment to become available. They've always provided excellent care and the staff is awesome. Wait times can be non-existent or two or more hours, depending on the number pf patients, but you can go online and get on the list before you leave home. It's much better than waiting around at the hospital ER! There are two waiting rooms, one a "well room" for injuries and other non-contagious illnesses, which is vital for my husband because he's on immune suppressants for his organ transplant. There are tvs in both, and internet is available while you wait. (But bring a book or some crayons for the kids). X-rays can be taken onsite, which even my family doctor can't provide. Of course they take care of insurance, and you may not even have a copay (my insurance company prefers the urgent care over a hospital ER and passes the savings onto me by charging it as an office visit rather than an ER.) Check with yours - you may save money as well. They also provide drug testing for employers, school physicals for the kids and immunizations. Immunizations, again, may be another moneysaver over a regular doctor visit, depending on your insurance.) I get my flu shots here with no copay, while my doc charges for an office visit! Customer service is awesome. On one visit appendicitis was suspected and they called ahead to WakeMed and had all my info transferred so they were ready for me upon arrival. I didn't have to re-fill out forms, etc. This was reassuring and eased the emotional trauma since my life might have been in danger. I've always been treated respectfully and listened to, not just blinked at and pushed out the door, even when the clinic was very busy and full of waiting sick people. Highly recommend FastMed! Thanks!

Receptionist was definitely not pleasant as the other reviews state. I am looking to switch PCP after switching to a new insurance, called asking for an appt. with family medicine to se which location can see me the soonest before switching and apparently you essentially have to go in for a "consultation appointment" before getting preventative care done as simple as blood work. It's not like I won't pay you for the services, what are we going to talk about at the intake appointment? What I could've told the nurse when I have nothing wrong with me? I'd totally recommend the Clayton Fast med location because they don't give you the run around or ask "why you are trying to get seen here if you have a PCP already" and they have sooner appointments as of when I called today.

Back here for a follow up. 2hr wait in my car and now going on 1hr wait in the exam room and still have not seen a provider. Also, I have had to advise someone 3 times that this is a follow up appointment and there seems to be a lack of communication between the techs etc... my time is also very valuable. I also understand that this is a walk in clinic, but if you do not have enough providers, do not take on more then the office can handle.

I went in for a walk-in appointment today and Wendis, RMA was awesome! She was friendly and efficient. The Dr./PA I saw was also great. I was in and out in about an hour. Definitely recommend this location.

The rudeness of the girl at the front desk was uncalled for this morning (Saturday, December 19th) around 8:45-9am. My mom was running a 102 temp with known covid exposure, a bad cough, etc. She was told that it would be a 2-3 hour wait time, they were out of rapid test, and this is the part that upsets me... the 'front desk girl' told my mom that she should not bother waiting because she "would not be given any medicine" and her covid results "would not be available until 7 days". Why is Fastmed lacking in care and professionalism?

JUST DONT VISIT THIS LOCATION!! My first review ever goes to this place!!! I was in this location for 3 hours. For only 20 minutes of being seen. They are literally into something else than treating YOU!! From the assistant to the doctor. The Doctor cant barely look into your eyes. The assistant is so DRY it doesn't look like she's dealing with patients!! Es una estupida insensible. If you come here for answers trust me you will go with more questions instead. Do you imagine spending your Saturday morning for NOTHING!!! There's no greeting there's nothing here just dummies getting pay. Excluding the girl sitting in the lobby when you first arrived.

Why bother having a priority appointment when you take a cut finger and sit there yakkking about things that have nothing to do with the patient....telling stories, etc you need more doctors here. I made my appointment this morning, it's was supposed to be priority. Seriously why bother having the priority express. Hated FastMed from the beginning and still don't like them.... if Uncommon Care in Angier was open today In would have gone there. Better not send me a survey it won't be good!!

I was hesitant to go to this urgent care based on reviews but I truly had an exceptional experience here. On Tuesday night around 6:30pm, after about 8 days of a cough and sore throat, I noticed white patches in my throat and was immediately terrified I had strep. I have a toddler and am going on vacation next week so I could not wait on this- I called them and they said they had a few people in there an I'd probably wait 45mins. Well, I had to wait for my husband to get home and watch our toddler, so, I didn't get there til 6:57pm (I live VERY close by!). I was immediately greeted and noticed no one was in waiting room (woo!). The desk staff were very nice and checked me in quickly. I was taken to a room within 10min and the nurse/ cma I had was awesome! Super sweet and not rushing me in any way, she did my throat swab and told me it took 7 or so minutes then someone would be in. The doctor came in about 8 minutes later! Fortunately my strep was negative and I just have some terrible allergies but the doc called me in something for my throat and got me out of there! I was back in my own driveway by 7:45pm! The whole experience was great. Staff was friendly despite it being very near closing time! Rooms and waiting area were very clean and not stuffy! And I got my peace of mind quickly! Thanks guys/ ladies!

I took my son in for what we thought was an infected ingrown toenail. The doctor saw that he was severely dehydrated and set up IV fluids for him and suggested we take him to the ER. He had appendicitis. FastMed probably saved his life. We thought he had a stomach bug that was going through our house.
