They serve lunch at 5:00pm, easy process.. walk inside give your name and age, walk into the kitchen and grab a plate. Sit and eat then off you go.

I hear alot of bad things about this facility let me start by saying these people are homeless not prisoners or any thing beneath that. The rule are not consistent the some of the staff are unprofessional as in the way the talk to individuals. Paperwork isn't properly handled. Individuals coming in inebriated . Honestly I'd definitely expect more from the Salvation Army and its Shelter

If you don't have a warrant and you don't have anything to bad on your record. They'll start you with a cot in the kitchen with different people. Then they'll transition you into the living area wether it's women Man or family. Now be aware of your belongings cuz people are the same everywhere. Or get a spot where the camera is. If they have any openings inside the living area you'll be in the kitchen until then. Stay safe ????? and Blessed.

As a veteran, not a local bum veteran. I give this dump 5 ZEROS. The food, which I'm blessed not to have to eat, is worse than jail food. DISGUSTING. I didn't sleep in the 'veterans room' because open drug use & homosexuality was visible. Then the Black Women Staff: IGNORANT. UNEDUCATED. GHETTO. HOODRATS.
Impossible to avoid them. They will stalk you to provoke an argument to put you out at the gate. They don't enforce the rules of the shelter: loitering drug use open air drug sales disruptions cleaning showers. When the actual Salvation Army was involved it was a more productive positive environment for short time residents. Now it's full of crackheads.

My name is Darren Greene I am a current resident at salvation army I have had a hard time trying to adjust to being homeless but they gave me more than I could ask for a roof over my head and a lot of opportunity services to assist me in finding my own place and I really appreciate everything they've done for me The staffing has been a big help all I had to do is keep them aware of what I was doing what I was trying to accomplish and they supported me all the way through. They provided me with the proper resources to help me along the way. If you are homeless this is the place to start. Thank you Darren Greene

This is a tough one. When you have been living in the streets, your hungry, you need a shower, a bed...it's of course a paradise. Once you stay a bit you see that it's a bare minimum effort and that Salvation Army is a bed, breakfast and dinner, and that's it. They're not going to uplift you, they're not going to advocate, and they very rarely post beneficial information to help navigate the labyrinth of homelessness. Fayetteville DESPERATELY NEEDS more shelters and more people with money getting involved in facilities to assist those who are in need. All in all, it's "safe" but you have to be on your toes, you'll have to get your own towel and bring your own toilet tissue. I asked the Salvation Army headquarters to assist with getting toilet paper to the shelter and like almost everywhere out there it was a "no". If there's a problem that arrises at the shelter, it's your word against there's and the "Major" would not respond to requests for assistance when I witnessed another resident seeking answers. So the apathy absolutely begins somewhere above the director's head. But in the end, you'll probably be left scratching your head as to what's REALLY going on there. You can do so much worse out there but those in need deserve so much better.

Instead of checking to see about a voucher that was send over. She didn't even let us in or check to see if she received our referral instead she went outside to meet up with her guy in a blue. Camero. Wasted two hours of my time today Especially coming from your own kind . Some people get these positions and really not their for the people they get big headed and look down on others
