I absolutely love my shoes from here! They fit my feet so well, I have never had such a comfortable pair! The sales worker, Linda, was so helpful, she was kind, and knowledgeable! 10/10 thank you guys so much!

We visited John Allen Shoes for the first time today, while visiting my in laws. My mother in law has been shopping here for 50+ years, for herself, her children and all of the grandchildren. We came in to get my 18 month old some shoes and I was blown away at the level of customer service, selection of such nice children’s shoes and the wonderful children’s play area!! The next time we are in town from Topsail Beach area we will absolutely be back!! Such a wonderful experience!! You all are the BEST!!! So happy Mary recommended we stop in! Thank you!!

Amazing customer service! It's been a long time since I've been to a store like this. My husband and I took our little boy, just turned one and started walking, to get his first pair of shoes. We were immediately greeted at the door and shown where we should go. The gentleman was great with our son. Measured his little feet and brought out a selection. We took lots of photos because this was a memorable moment for us. The gentleman put the shoes on our son and we had soooo much fun. This is the type of store that used to exist long ago and I enjoyed the ambiance. We will definitely be back! Thank you for this wonderful experience and allowing us to travel back in time.

Took my twin grandsons today to get their first pair of shoes. Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable of how to fit them. My daughter asked when we left, "How do you know them?" I didn't know any of them. That's how kind and friendly they were. We will be back!

I love the deals they have here but I am not a big fan of their approach. I would shop here way more often if I didn't feel certain sales people, a certain female associate coming close behind me or around corners and staring. One fuchsia-haired woman, followed me around today but barely spoke. Just stared at me. Not, "can I help you?" Or anything. In fact, it was ME that finally asked her, "how are you today?" to try to make it less awkward. Then I caught her whispering about me when I went to try shoes on "she's going to do it herself" she told an associate. I understand and appreciate their old-school approach and that they want to help people try on shoes, for some people it's charming. I don't need or want assistance and I had really been so uncomfortable with her near me. I've been in retail for over 20 years and at no point have I been taught that this method leads to success. I had to rush out and was on the phone when she rand me out (something I NEVER do) so she probably got the credit for that and that's fine but if she reads this, and I hope she does, I hope she sees it as a teaching/learning moment. The conversation she was having with co-workers that was so casual and relaxed would've been a nice tone to being to the sales floor. Customers are ppl too, not subjects to be studied to figure out the best way to approach, you can actually SPEAK to us too, staring is creepy! **That being said, don't avoid the store altogether. There's a VERY nice man who works there. I believe he's the one WITHOUT glasses, but maybe they both have them... he's the slightly younger of the two. He does NOT hover, really knows his products, and is super helpful with ZERO pressure! He offers to help, listens, and if you're just sort of looking, he backs right off, busies himself, and checks in again a little later. He doesn't stare at you watching every breath you take. **Next time I go, if that woman is there, I'm leaving immediately and shopping online or just finding a new store because that was very uncomfortable. She made me feel like I didn't belong there. I don't get it. Everyone else who works there is so friendly.

Ladies, looking for comfortable shoes you can work in? Standing and walking all day and tired of blisters and sore spots? Come here and try on a pair! I was even able to find shoes in 8 1/2 wide which is a feat unto itself! JR was especially helpful and made sure every shoe fit me perfectly! Thank you JR for top notch service today!!

They have very hard to find narrow widths in many different styles. I no longer have to worry about going barefoot !!

Was there today to get my diabetic shoes. The owner Larry helped me find just the right pair for my feet. He explained the way diabetic people can get a pair of shoes every year with my type of insurance as long as it is proscribed. The store is very clean and they have a wide variety of different shoes for men women or children. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend John Allen shoes to anyone who wants quality shoes!!!

I just had the most amazing experience getting my kid footed for shoes at John Allen Shoes in Fayetteville. Remember back in the day when a person actually measure your kids feet, brought out a ton of options, put the shoes on your feet, watched you walk in them and made sure it was correct; that is the experience we had!! The saleswoman Karen was so helpful. They also have a clearance rack where all shoes were $16.88 and they had lots of sizes! We will definitely be going back to have our youngest fitted.They have stride rite, saucony, new balance, and a few other really good brands!
