Island Books is an annual must when in OBX. A great selection of books for all ages as well as cards and small gifts. The staff at all locations is always helpful and very pleasant.

Fantastic little shop, Island Bookstore is a place I must visit every time I go the Outer Banks. They have a great inventory plus a nice selection of journals.

I prefer the aesthetic and prices of used bookstores, but this is one of my favorite full-priced bookstores - it captures the same feeling of a hidden bookstore you'd find in a large city. Make sure to check out the upstairs!

Cute, but very disorganized and a lot of the books were not well taken care of. I was going to purchase a book, but the edges were bent and the cover was all messy (and this was the case for many of the books.) Again it was a cute store, but I just was not impressed with the care of the books and the organization.

Island Bookstore is just the cutest place ever! It gives off such cool treehouse vibes, and being surrounded by other shops makes it even more awesome. If you love books, you'll absolutely enjoy hanging out there! ???
