The BEST desserts in NC! Yes, really! All locals know that Kevin's is the place to go for the best desserts around, created daily and fresh, right next door in Cindy's Kitchen. From 12-layer, Lemon, and Red Velvet Cakes, to huge and decadent Muffins, and everything in between! My favorites are the Oreo and Pig-Pickin' cakes, and any of the double-stuffed ginormous cookie sandwiches. All/most come in single serve (huge), up to 1/2 and full sized cakes. If you're ever on Rt 168 going to or from the Outer Banks, look for the "Liberty" gas station (can't miss it), and stop in! *CLOSED Sundays*You can thank me later ;-)

Love stopping at this store!! Myself and buddy Roy always stop to and from the beach. Love being greeted by the beautiful girl behind the counter. Great place to stop !!

While the gas is 5 cents more than the station right before, Ms. Cindy’s homemade biscuits more than make up for it. Nice clean restrooms too.

The desserts are really really good here, they have delicious strawberry shortcake in the cold section. The hot food is really good too, it’s made next door and walked over every day. If you time it right you may be able to snag a dinner box, the quantity of food you get for the price is amazing.

I have to be honest writing this review. Everytime I stop at Kevin's I don't feel welcomed. The staff are never smiling or greeting and I always say hello and be friendly. I'm not sure if it's because of me being African American or if I just go there on bad days but it would be nice to at least be greeted when I walk through the door. Other than that they have a good variety of homemade cakes and deli foods.

Set this place in your GPS to stop in your way in OBX and on your way home!! No need to stop and get fast food. Get homemade goodies as well as healthy options. Individually packed veggie platter, egg salad, potato salad, chicken Philly. Cakes and pies oh my!! All so good!!!
