We just adopted our grandson’s cat with no details of her vaccination records. A neighbor recommended Plantation Park Animal Hospital to us. I called and explained our situation and got an appointment for the next week. The staff were very welcoming and I noticed that they were so loving to all the animals that were there. We met first with the Vet Tech who was very gentle and sweet to our cat. We then saw Dr. Miller who examined our Gracie and answered all our questions and concerns. We had a very great experience with Plantation Park Animal Hospital and would recommend them.

We were in Clayton escaping from Hurricane Milton and my brother referred us to Plantation Park Animal Hospital. He connected us with them and we were able to get our fur-baby in to see the doc same day. Such a warm group of staff in the practice. If we move to that area, we definitely will become clients full time!

Multiple horrible experience with front desk staff and Dr. Causby. I was lectured about my cat's diet when I didnt ask for input and then charged for an extended sick visit cause she wanted to insert her opinion on a diet that my 10 yr old cat has been thriving on since she was a kitten. She kept making assumptions about my cat without acknowledging her history that I had to repeat over an over again to no avail.
I had great expereinces with Dr. Geneckzo and had been working with him for my cat's allergies. 3 times I leave a message for Dr. G and receptionist kept sending them to Dr. C, which delayed responses. I made them aware that I only want to work with Dr. G. Today, without my knowledge, my message was again sent to Dr. C and the completely wrong information was given to both me and her by whomever I spoke to on the phone. This led to an unnecessary long term steroid injection to an already immunocompromised cat. Front desk needs to take our beloved pets health/lives seriously and not be so grossly careless in the inaccurate information they're passing...and to the WRONG VET! Vets need to verify with pet owners what and why they're doing things before they do it! Instead of snatching my cat to the back and declining my request to ask questions beforehand. It's very very difficult for me to trust this vet office any further. Now I have to worry about long-term side effects for months on my kitty and extend her extremely expensive elimination diet that I already can barely afford. Also, Dr. Nickens had previously injected my other cat without my consent. Too many bad experiences that are potentially detrimental to my cat's health!

I was very impressed with Dr. Loyd she took loads of time with me as a new patient. My cat had been on prednisone, which was the wrong medicine for him to be on with asthma. She also gave me a lot of cool tips for exercising the cats and even showed me the type of harness to get them to walk them. Apparently it’s never too late to train your cat to walk on a leash, even if it’s just to take them in for a little while for some exercise. I would highly recommend plantation for your pets. BTW:Chi loved them also

There's a new vet there who is very nice and doesn't make you feel neglectful because you're not perfect .

Great spot to take your hounds. The vet has been great every time I've taken my dogs. They listen to what you have to say and are gentle with your dog.
Had to put one down a few months ago and they had a private area to handle that situation. The entire staff was great about it. I even received a card signed by the entire staff a week or two later.
They are pretty reasonably priced as well.
I've used them for six years now and they have serviced three of my doggos.

We highly recommend the Plantation Park Veterinary Hospital in Clayton. Our elderly Chihuahua, Max, received excellent care here when we brought him in for a second opinion. Max got sick a few weeks ago with retching, gagging and fatigue, so we took him to his regular clinic near Raleigh. The vet there prescribed an anti-nausea drug without giving us a real diagnosis, just said “it could be...or…” at a cost of $600. Consequently, we returned home sad and disappointed with little hope of Max’s recovery.
Max was not improving so we called the Plantation Veterinary for a second opinion. Dr. Jessica Loyd was attentive and inquired about Max’s symptoms, reviewed his records from the other clinic, did whole-body digital radiography and described the results, checked blood work and thoroughly checked him physically. She listened to our concerns and showed that she genuinely cared about Max’s health. We were given a straight-forward diagnosis and treatment plan. We came away knowing our little love now has a solid chance of better health. Yes, this modern clinic provides superior service and we will go back.
