We first met Melissa in October 2019 during a one week visit to North Carolina. We were considering relocating from California, but had no definitive plans to move yet. Still, Melissa spent much of her time that week guiding us around potential neighbourhoods and open houses. At the time, I was amazed she was willing to spend so much time with a family that wasn't even certain they wanted to move at all. She took the time to get to know us and our children and to share her knowledge of Union County, and never once did we feel that she resented the potentially wasted time. Fast forward a year and we made the decision to move. From California I regularly emailed Melissa to ask her questions about everything from why a particular house was priced so low to how she felt about certain neighbourhoods and the housing market. I was blown away by the amount of time she put into her responses. We were not expressing interest in buying houses at this point, yet Melissa took the time to write us detailed and honest emails, steering us away from houses priced too high or houses that were not in desirable locations. Once, she explained in over 400 words the issues with a house that she felt would not be worth our time. She even spoke with me on the phone to discuss the pros and cons of the location of the rental house we would land in upon arriving in North Carolina. Within weeks of arriving in North Carolina, it was as if Melissa had become part of our family--our kids were always excited to see her! She took us to see several homes within the first few months and what I loved most was her honesty. Of course every real estate agent wants their clients to buy a house. Melissa could have said only positive things about all of the beautiful homes we saw. But while she pointed out the homes' redeeming qualities, she also never hesitated to alert us to aspects that might not fit with our overall vision of a forever home. WOW. Guess what? The house we ended up buying was one I had completely dismissed. It wasn't until Melissa texted me to suggest we see it that I changed my mind and we made the appointment for a Tuesday. We left the house deciding to make an offer. That night, we changed our minds and let Melissa know. The next morning, we had another change of heart. We contacted Melissa immediately and asked if we could see the house again. She managed to get us back in that afternoon despite there being appointments to see the house through the weekend. That evening, she wrote up our offer and delivered it. The next morning, she called to give us the news: despite multiple booked appointments to see the house, the owner had decided to accept our offer. I cried happy tears. Melissa went on to negotiate terms successfully on our behalf. My husband and I have never had much luck with realtors, so saying that Melissa is the best we've worked with doesn't do her justice. But my husband and I have extremely high expectations when it comes to customer service, and Melissa exceeded ours. We have our dream house, literally thanks to her. We hope to work with her on future investment properties. But more importantly, we envision having her over to our house in the future, to show her what we've done with it (since we've shared so many of those dreams with her already), but also, just to catch up. After all, I will always think of her as my first friend in my new state.

Worked with Melissa when we bought our first home four years ago, and now will never work with anyone else! Melissa is THE BEST! She is kind, knowledgeable, patient and has a level of personal service that will make you feel like you are the only client she has. We were selling and buying at the same time this time around, and were worried about having to go into rental housing in between. Melissa helped us come up with a plan that allowed us to go under contract after a day on the market. Two weeks later, we went under contract on our dream home! When you choose Melissa to be your realtor, know that you're not just gaining the best realtor in Charlotte. You're gaining a lifelong friend that cares deeply about you and your family.

We were looking for a realtor with lots of experience selling homes and negotiating contracts and Melissa certainly has that experience. We were moving out of state and wanted a realtor that would sell our home quickly and for a good price as well as take care of our home in our absence. She came up with a winning strategy that placed our home in front of the most buyers and peaked their interest. It worked and the home sold the first day. She also handled the due diligence period and worked with the buyers' agent with ease. She was easy to contact, answered all of our questions, and responded in a timely manner. Her contract, negotiation, and communication skills are excellent. We are so glad that we chose Melissa Brown as our agent - we couldn't have done it without her! My husband and I are so thankful for Melissa Brown. I am someone that likes to have control over a situation and know everything that is going on, but was also a first time home buyer who was nervous about the process and had no clue what I was doing, so I was looking for a realtor who was understanding, patient, experienced and could answer my questions as they came up. Melissa Brown was exactly who my husband and I needed. We contacted her after reading other amazing reviews and we liked that she was so experienced but still enjoyed working with first time buyers. When we met the first time Melissa was immediately very passionate about the search and excited for us, and it felt like we were her entire focus - a feeling that continues even after closing as she checks in on us to make sure everything is going well with our move and to answer questions we have quickly and in detail. From the start she made it clear she was willing to take as long as necessary to find a home that we liked. After planning to look at houses for a few months before putting in any offers we then ended up finding a home we loved the very first round of looking, much sooner than we expected. We did not want to miss out on it so we jumped right in, and if we didn't have Melissa I am not sure we would have had the confidence to seize that opportunity. Within a day or so of our offer being accepted Melissa had everything arranged and scheduled for us to get to closing. She made us feel comfortable from beginning to end and was on top of everything. She was very responsive whenever we asked her questions (and there were a lot, some very random) and she provided us all the information we needed to feel at ease. The entire time it felt like Melissa took our home buying very personally and only wanted what was best for us, going above and beyond. We got the feeling she became a realtor first and foremost because she is passionate about bringing joy to others and knows the emotional journey getting a home can be, and wants to make it the best experience possible. She truly made a process we were expecting to be stressful into a relaxing and fun one, letting my husband and I focus on the excitement and happiness of buying our first home. Melissa Brown let us begin our life in our new home with only positive vibes, and we will always be thankful for that!
