Long Animal has been amazing with our dogs and cat. Dr Yasin is always so personable and goes the extra mile to explain everything in detail! He is a great vet!

Dr Whittman & Dr Patrick are outstanding and amazing folks. Our Frenchie, Finn decided to eat some chunks os toy and they were lodged in his upper intestine - The team at Long Animal hospital not only took amazing care of our baby but they were able to get Finn to pass the items WITHOUT surgery saving Finn lots of pain and saving us a bunch of money in the process. Finn is our 4th dog under Long Animal Hospital care and we would never take them anyplace else. THANK YOU LONG TEAM!

Dr. Yasin is the best ever. He has the most amazing bedside manner and always takes his time to find out what is going on with our pets. I have always appreciated the extra steps he takes and his calm manor. He makes you feel like you are the only one he is taking care of. I would highly recommend him to anyone. Thanks Dr. Yasin for everything you do.

From the time we walked in the door, we received top notch service. Our small dog was having a significant vestibular episode, and (thankfully) she was carried back immediately. We were kept informed of her status the whole time. Dr. Short was very thorough and thoughtful in his explanations to us and also in the course of treatment. The staff were all professional, attentive, and reassuring. Long's provided an extremely positive experience during a very stressful event.

My poor pup has a chronic and potentially life-threatening GI diseas. The veterinarians and staff have provided exemplar, compassionate care to her. They capably handle her flare ups while trying appropriate care plans to manage her condition long term. Highly recommende!

Looking at these reviews, looks like a lot of long standing customers are pretty pissed at how Long has been operating lately. They're incredibly expensive, and prices for me too have gone up considerably which is what prompted this entire situation. I've been taking my cats to Long for over 6 years now. Spending over 5 grand there, and about $300 a month on prescription food they've told me I needed for my cats. I've only brought my animals in *twice ever* for a "yearly exam" because last time it cost me over $700 which I couldn't afford. NEVER have I been told I needed to bring them every year to keep my prescription urinary tract food. I've been going to their office every two weeks for almost 4 years buying the prescription food I've been told my cat needs TO SURVIVE without issue buying it at all. As soon as I go to Chewy to get the prescription cheaper Long denies my request saying I need to come in for an exam for "protocols". Well why let me come there and buy every two weeks, but not online??! I asked the person at the desk could I speak to the pharmacist or someone else he said no. I asked could be explain what in the exam would show the doctors if my cat needs the food or not, he couldn't answer only to say my cat was behind on "legal rabies shots". I asked him why would they let an animal go without life saving food all for past due rabies shots? He couldn't respond. UPDATE: Long gets their accounts receivable manager to call me back. They're unable to explain other than saying "protocols" why this is happening. I ask again, what specifically in the exam would they be looking for. "They want to know if the cats home life is good and if he's been having problems going to the bathroom" this is a 9 year old cat with 2 prior blockages. If something was wrong we would be at the vet ASAP. I tell her of course he's been fine otherwise we'd be in the vet. If that's all they need to know what is the reason to pay for an "exam"?? What EXACTLY are they looking to do? I can't pay for blood work and urinalysis AGAIN for absolutely no reason. She tells me someone else will call me back. SECOND UPDATE: After going back and forth via email for almost 2 weeks with no additional information and mostly just attitude, I have followed up now three times in 3 weeks after I was told my email would get forwarded to the OWNER Dr. Kilough for response. Coincidentally his father is the one who always took good care of me and my pets, but I guess he didn't pass empathy, accountability, or follow through down to his son. Long has absolutely no mechanism, system, or process to follow through on their own "protocols" which leaves this type of decision up to discretion. Unfortunately their discretion has caused them to lose yet ANOTHER client.

If i could give 0 stars i would. My pup needed a c section, so financing was the most ideal with dealing with a Frenchie. Applied for scratch pay, got approved 10/11/23 due to the puppies needing to be delivered by 10/30/23 and attempting to be proactive. Received a call advising that Long Animal Hospital does not take SCRATCH PAY only CARE CREDIT. Thats fine, got approved for CARE Reached out to Scratch pay to advise we can cancel due to this location not taking them and had to find other means of finance. (WHICH WAS NOTED ON THE ACCOUNT) they advised us as long as not activity was made on the account it would cancel out on its own in 30days. Time has moved along and took the mom to check her progesterone levels to deliver the pups on Friday 10/27/23 and she was too low...had an EMERG c-section at an EMERG room....haven't been back to Long since....for what? ONLYYYYY to get notifications that LONG ANIMAL HOSPITAL finalized a 5k procedure 11/8/23 that NEVER TOOK PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EXPLAIN THAT TO ME!!!! When calling Long to get an explanation- get the run around everyone has to contact someone else, boss not in, no one working in the finance department and has the WORST and NASTIEST customer service!!! Very condescending and non-professionals I've encountered in a long time. This is a form of FRAUDULANT activity, so I would advise this be taking very seriously and corrected before an additional payment is taken from my account on a loan that was NEVER USED. If not, charges will be taken out at the MECKLENBURG COUNTY MAGISTRATE COURT and your whole financial department will be under investigation very soon!! ;)

The grooming services are great! I also can't believe the price is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than everyone else close by. Spending less is always nice and everyone is friendly too.

A year ago today I brought my 9 year old cat in due to her Behavior being odd and her having stuck poop. After hours of crying and tests the vet told me she had kidney failure and would be best to euthanize. I could not believe it and spoke to a friend who is a vet and she told me to come see her and her boss for a second diagnosis and a more empathic visit. We go see her and tests came back positive for FLEA ANEMIA AND CONSTIPATION. we had THREE days of liquid meds and she was FINE. This pos vet at long animal hospital told me she was in kidney failure. SHE WAS NOT. it's a year later and she is HEALTHY. HAPPY AND NOT HAVING KIDNEY FAILURE. these guys just want your money and do not care about the cats come come in. She is not the first cat they've just blatantly misdiagnosed. The look on the receptionists face when I walked my HEALTHY ALIVE CAT in to get her paperwork was astounding. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CATS HERE.

Even though I live in FT. Mill Long Animal Hospital in Charlotte will be my forever go to Vet. Vet Medical Center of Fort Mill gave me a minor surgery quote with dental cleaning for $2,300 and no negotiating and no military discount. I then called Long Vet hospital in Charlote, got an appointment same day and they gave me a quote for same procedures for $700, scheduled the surgery for 2-days later, gave me a 10% military discount and I paid $630! I saved $1,670 just for driving an extra 10-minutes up I77N. Don't get ripped off by Vet. Medical Center of Fort Mill. Besides the $ savings it was a great experience, all the doctors and staff were great, they seem to go above and beyond expectations for every customer.

Scheduled a consult & underwater treadmill therapy session for my pup. The lobby was a great size. The reception desk appeared pretty unorganized and did not have much care for customer service. I was seen late, and the consult itself went well. However, the vet then told me that Bear wasn't going to have a session today. So I basically paid and took time off of work for just an eval. So a lack of communication from my scheduler. When I was checking out, a staff member did not ask me, and knelt down to pet my dog. I think consent & entitlement is a discussion needed in the pet community. My dog & I did not care for that. & as an owner of guard dogs, it's sad, but I will have to start attaching "DO NOT PET" signs to my pups. So that we can be more comfortable. If you are looking for therapy or underwater treadmill sessions: I recommend Aquapups! They are amazing!! They also have pool memberships for your pup!

Long animal Hospital misdiagnosed my dog and 7 days to the date of the visit. At 1 a.m., I rushed my dog to animal emergency hospital "not the murderous Long Animal Hospital" and the vet informed me what the problems was, moments before my baby was euthanized. My baby was dead and Long Animal hospital vet spent more time soliciting dog food he was selling "for commission" than with my poor pup. I urge you to go anywhere but here if you truly love your fur baby. I BEG YOU!!!.

I 100% recommend this vet. They have great doctors and staff. Very helpful and kind people. Only thing I would add is that they have long wait times depending on the time of day. So just expect that if your a walk In.
