Everyone is nice and all, but every time I go here a minimum of three separate people ask me "so, what's going on" and then I get a referral to another place that can see me in two or three months

High quality medical care, but avoid their social workers at all costs. They are the most incompetent idiots that I have ever encountered. I don’t know how they ever got through high school!

I have reached to my doctor since Thursday to get a refill on my much needed meds and today is Tuesday still no response this is totally unacceptable to have to wait 4 days and counting even the cvs pharmacy has reached out and no response as of yet very displeased with this issue and calling the facility is a joke 23 min on hold in my situation my meds are really needed and it shouldn’t take me 4days to get a response at this point the automated system sucks

This place has gone downhill. You the doctors there don’t care about the patients. I stopped going here long ago but my brother still goes here and has some serious health issues. He went in about a week ago and the doctor he seen was so dismissive it was unbelievable, he stressed to my brother nothing about his health, but the fact that he has so many other patients to deal with I was absolutely shocked and outraged. Since then we have moved everything over to wakemed where the care is not only done with urgency but with care one person at a time. The doctors at family practice look at everyone as a caseload and could careless that you are there to prevent death they would rather seemingly be the ones alongside your death bed rather than help you “catch whatever you have going on early” this place needs a revamp immediately.

I had had many great primary care doctors here until an experience recently. The residency program must be scraping the bottom of the barrel with Dr. Glotfelty. The nightmare I endured caused my exodus from all UNChealth facilities, ending a lifetime connection with thw UNC hospital system. The ongoing series of events began with a traumatic injury that was not given a physical examination. Then, an xray was not ordered for 5 months, on said injury. Next, bad diabetes advice cost me my life savings. The next problem, with the same resident physician, was an appointment was canceled an hour before the scheduled time, while I was in a full diabetic health crash, were almost all my body-fat was lost and I looked like I was within deaths grasp. After that fiasco, I asked for a covid test that wasn't administered, during the pandemic, no less. It turned out I had covid. After all of this, I tried to contact the resident, for a simple explanation.
I got nothing from her, ghosted completely. So, after that, i filed a complaint. They dealt with my numerous concerns, by only addressing my a1c testing. They ignored everything else. So next, i Called to follow up and had no return call.
This somehow soured my opinion of a now desolate and abhorrent environment for good health. Please stay away, as only your money, buisness, and opinions can possibly change an increasingly toxic environment, where resident physicians get away with absolutely anything. Now, patients and their health come in a distant second. What now goes on there is honestly a travesty. A decent facility descending into a nightmare of, at best, a take two and call me in the morning phone it in quack filled cruel joke interpretation of healthcare.

Dr. Allison and Julie Hedrick, Pharmacist, are wonderful! My father sees Dr. Allison for primary care and he spends the time with us that my father (older and speaks Punjabi primarily) needs during his visits. He communicates well with me (daughter) and is open to my input for my father’s care. Julie is always so kind and patient as well. Both are willing to answer any questions and make accommodations as needed. Very, very pleased with them both. My only complaint would be the front desk. Their primary method of check in is with electronic kiosk. This is complex for the geriatric population (among others), and especially difficult for those who do not use electronics often. My father has come alone to appointments a few times and was directed to the kiosks and when asking reception for assistance, it was not given promptly or kindly. He is older and hard of hearing, with masks making it more difficult to communicate, and the front desk staff is typically not accommodating. This is frustrating for him understandably and now I have to accompany him to all lab appointments since he’s unable to use the kiosk and the front desk is not helpful. They would benefit from some training on catering to various populations such as geriatric, non tech savvy, low literacy, etc. Otherwise, very happy and pleased with Dr. Allison & Julie.

I have been going here for years and got nothing but the best service every single time. Best doctors in North Carolina in my opinion. Highly recommend using this place if you are in this area.

I chose this place because it was listed on my insurance's website as participating in their plan and it was easy to get to. I have my doubts. It's dark and maze-like and depressing. When I tried to make a prenatal appointment, they said I would see a nurse and not a doctor and that I would be discussing insurance, which is odd.UPDATE: I have been with them for almost 3 years now and the doctors and nurses are EXCELLENT and KIND. They take you seriously and I have been able to see a specialist quickly when necessary. The office has been remodelled so it is much brighter than it used to be. On the financial side: Beatrice in the financial office is a nightmare and for a while things were often getting coded wrong which meant charges that we didn't owe. Keep an eye on that stuff. We called and disputed it immediately and got these things corrected. 5 stars for the docs and nurses. No stars for some of the administrative problems.UPDATE #2: In a previous update I said that getting in to see a specialist was easy and quick. That is no longer the case. For the past 1.5 to 2 years, getting a regular GP appointment has taken MONTHS and a specialist? Fuggetaboutit.

Really nice staff. They did throw me for a loop in that you are supposed to enroll a time for that day to see a staff member online. Though in premise it takes the "Urgent" out of Urgent Care. Not a big deal and folks like to do that, it just seems like the business model or marketing is not aligned with reality. We have gotten a lot of that though since the Pandemic in general. Kind of handicap accessible, but some tough hills while I was on crutches. Didn't see coffee at a glance. Building was hot. Not sure why? Kind of weird for a basement floor to be 75. Particularly in mid October. Staff was great and they were able to test my blood and call and give results and upload to My chart. Great Job!
