I recently got married and inherited my grandfathers wedding band (hammered gold). Only thing is he had big hands and I needed it resized quickly. They did a phenomenal job, couldn't be more perfect. I would absolutely recommend this place and will certainly return for future needs.

Very helpful owner and staff. Honest about what they can and can't do for repairs. Would recommend not only for new jewelry, both ready made and personally designed, but also repairs including restringing. Shows jewelry both by owner and several local well known artists.

Kim is helping me resize my mother's wedding band when others told me it wasn't able to be resized. She was very kind and incredibly helpful.

We are in love with our custom wedding bands! This was the first shop we visited, and we knew as soon as we started talking to Kim that we had found the right place. Not only is Kim truly enthusiastic about the pieces in her shop, she listened to what we were looking for and showed us options we never would have considered - all without pressuring us into making a quick decision, or a decision we weren't comfortable with. We were very fortunate to find a shop with one of the few metalsmiths in the country who knows how to makes pieces in the mokume gane style, and we are in love with the ring John made. Kim's work on the other band is simple and elegant - exactly what we wanted. This shop is absolutely worth a visit, especially if you're looking for custom pieces.

This is in response to the unfortunate review left by Sadie Borgia . We have previously encouraged to you contact the store so that we may resolve this situation but you have not done so to date . You claim that the owner was rude and condescending and that he accused you of a 'scam ' . Firstly , the owner for the past 11 years has been a woman . Secondly , a web search for 'Sadie Borgia " turns up nothing except this review . Our sales records do not show anyone with that name and our custom orders don't reflect ever having set diamonds in a silver bangle .

For the past fifteen years we have made all our jewelry purchases at Creative Metalsmiths. The owner is indeed creative. She is thoughtful and willing to listen to exactly what you would like the piece to convey. Everyone to whom we have given jewelry from this shop have been thrilled. Many of these people have then gone on to purchase companion pieces. The honesty that shines through in these beautiful pieces reflects the integrity of their creator and her shop. I have never found a jeweler to equal Ms Maitland. Her shop is a joy to visit.

I really enjoyed working with Roberta Marasca creating my wedding band. She helped me design the band I wanted. I had the idea in my head and she helped me get it on paper and ultimately crafted a very beautiful ring. It's definitely not a cookie cutter ring and it almost always gets a double look from other jewelers. She provided one of the best customer service experiences I have ever been a part of. That is actually not an overstatement. She went above and beyond to make sure I had the ring I wanted. That means a lot in the day and age of customer no service.

I had a silver bangle made at this store using 9 diamonds from one of my late grandmother's rings. Almost immediately - perhaps the second or third time I wore the item - one of the diamonds came out and was lost. The owner agreed to replace it, but of course the sentimental value was gone since the diamond had belonged to my grandmother. Following this repair, I lost another diamond from one of the settings (I don't know whether it was from the same setting in the bangle or a different one). When I again returned to the store the owner questioned my veracity and accused me of some sort of scam! He said that, if I were truly serious about having the bracelet made with diamonds, I would have ordered it in gold rather in silver. I cannot express how shocking and insulting this was on so many levels. While my ex-husband had commissioned a very expensive item for me from this store several years prior, I myself could not afford a customized gold bracelet (not that this was any of his business). I am beyond disgusted with this establishment and urge anyone who reads this to avoid taking their business to this individual. Both the shoddy workmanship and the reprehensible attitude of this proprietor are reasons enough to justify my recommendation.
