“Great prices and selection on international food items. Also has a small section of Asian bowls and kitchenware. Huge spices and n noodles section. Really wonderful tofu and veggie selections if you can look past the yucky fish and lobster tanks and the funky smell when you first walk in. Most of the items are branded with english translations but not everything. And some of the things you'd think are vegetarian have fish ingredients so read carefully if this is a concern for you.”

“We've been going here awhile. Great selection of top quality as well as some hard to get meats you wont find anywhere else around town. John and his wife are the owners and pretty much run both locations themselves. They are very knowledgeable and personable. And the pricing is good. And John, you gotta close the doors for a week or two and take a vacation. You and your wife deserve it as hard as y'all work to provide quality products at a great price.”

“There’s a lot that impressed me about PW, one it’s clean, I mean spotless. Most important the staff are so friendly, especially in the deli/hot food area. I am addicted to their smoked chicken and I have been there twice this week. They have a four piece that is just right for people that live alone. I will keep going back, I will pay a little extra for the above. One more thing the customers are everyday people, not the ones that goes to Harris Teeter in Leland and we all know why.”

Fantastic customer service from Jonh the employee with red shirt working near the self service registers we were getting inside the store he heard us saying we need a basket quick he brought it to us, I noticed the store is very clean the restroom neat , and store prices cheaper than our city Charlotte NC.”

But I have been unable to buy for a while, my favorite Food Lion pizza, the Mexican Style Pizza. Haven’t seen it over a month. Well,,,,, will keep waiting for them to be restocked. Or, can I special order them?”

“Very cool market right on Front. Very convenient store in downtown to pick up wine, beer, and other grocery items. Love the meats and cheeses. Lots of snacks including ice cream. The beer and wine selection is very good for a place of this size. Just note, you are paying a premium on the wine and beer.”

“Laurel in the bakery is a real gem to this department. She never lets me down and does Fabolous work. Any kind of cake I can dream up she has not failed to deliver. Harris Teeter is lucky to have her as an employee and I drive 45 minutes to Wilmington just to get her to do my cakes. She has done Graduation cakes, Birthday cakes for kids and adults, Petit fours decorated, frosted monogrammed sugar cookies, cupcake cakes ..... I am always impressed.”
