Beautiful woodwork and sooo many great gift ideas at every price point. Located right off I-40, so it's easy to find and make a quick stop, and the smell inside the showroom, of wood shavings and essential oils (from their candles) is lovely. I also love that everything is made right there, in-house.

What an awesome little business! My husband and I were on our way to Asheville and we stopped at the NC Welcome Center. We knew it was going to be a rainy week and wanted to browse the travel info for indoor options. Hubby saw a brochure for Sabbath-Day Woods so we decided to go on our way to Asheville. There were at least 5 people working that day - all we spoke with were very friendly. We talked with the lead craftsman and he was very helpful explaining about the different woods and processes used to make the items. I decided to get a candle (my weakness) while hubby continuing chatting with the man. Finally hubby selected a clock for his office - a beautiful craftsman made out of cherry wood. After we left, I browsed their website - which is beautifully done as well. So glad we stopped in Sabbath-Day Woods as not only did we support a local family business but also bought a beautiful clock that will be cherished.
