Went to the dollar general next to the tractor supply store in black mountain. They had their sale sign up b1g1 of items, yes I should’ve read the date but still it was a big yellow sign, it got my attention. Got my b1g1 items to checkout old lady at front counter proceeds to tell me it’s my problem I didn’t read the sale sign that was expired that was still hanging up. I’m sorry but there was floor attendee that could’ve done your job as well, as you could’ve done it too. This wouldn’t have been a problem, she then rings up everything and I end up having to bag my own items as she walks off telling the other employee take down the expired sale signs. Rude old lady very unprofessional blames customer, will not shop at this location again.

I went in to get some candy for a father's day gift for a very special person. There was only one cashier and around 6 people in line. It took over 10 minutes to get through the first two customers. It was very clear the cashier had no idea what he was doing, and had zero concern for the quickly growing line. I'm trying to get home for father's day, and I also desperately had to use the restroom, which the store does not have. I tried to be very patient, but after THIRTY MINUTES, that's half an hour, and me nearly losing my bowels on the floor, I finally gave up. I set my basket down and walked out. I ended up having to drive across town to go to the other location. I've been shopping at both these locations for nearly 30 years, but I might not go back to this one.

I have to drop my kids off at school and Everytime I try to come to this dollar store they are never open at 8am so for the hell of it I’m sitting here waiting right now and they are still not open. They should change there hours if they don’t ever want to open the doors.

This store has gone downhill fast! I went in today and the boy, who had nothing wrong with him, was sitting in an Adirondack chair at he register and couldn't hardly even reach the register. One girl working, came up front, had a skimpy belly shirt on that was showing half her stomach and half her bra too! Nasty! I'D rather have less staffing than to have this to look at that!

Never open when it’s says it’s open and the employees are rude as hell. I probably would be to if I was by myself to run a whole store with a line out the door.

Absolutely terrible service. A friend and I were trying to run into Dollar general tonight to pick up two items. As she was walking to the door an employee literally locked the door in my friends face, mind you this was before they were schedule to close. When she went to the door and knocked the employees just sat there and laughed at her refusing to open the door. Absolutely unprofessional and rude. If this is how you treat paying customers at work, I would hate to see how you act outside of work. Absolutely detestable behavior.

Today I picked up a couple things I needed but was unable to find a BICYCLE LOCK at this store.So I asked the ladies at the front deck if they had any.They recommend that I go next door to TRACTOR ? SUPPLY.So I took there advice and found a BICYCLE ? LOCK at a great price.Thank You Ladies for the information.OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!?

I love this store! Great selections at better prices than huge department and grocery stores! The Clover brand is as good as any name brand!

Definitely the better DG in the area- in terms of safety and supply. The location is better with a more secure parking lot (or so it feels). The store is quite clean and medium well stocked. They often have some stuff that other DG stores do not (ex-cat food). The staff is also pretty receptive and willing to help. It is not often too busy. There can be some lingering people (workers and other) outside smoking and such but it's not always so bad. Fine for a quick run in for supplies. FYI- their baking selection is pretty slim but they have a lot of hygiene and office supplies.

Employees are nice just weirdly unprofessional. Store is an absolute mess but most DGs are. You don’t go there for organization but quick shopping, however, you don’t get that either cuz you really can’t find anything or anyone to help. We all just wonder around aimlessly like zombies and they only have one register open when there is someone around to run it. The cashiers also switch back in forth....MID customer....Hmmmmm ok? Lower your expectations and it’s fine I guess. I never had a bad run it with anyone.
