They're not a restaurant, and they're not vegan. They're a typical small town health food store. They have a small amount of bulk food and fresh food items. They could improve by having more bulk food and fresh food, but they don't have much space.
I'm a bit pissed because I can give them 5 stars, but I can't give Goldfinch 5 stars, although Goldfinch is more vegan forward. I'd also give Cousins 5 stars if I could.

Love this place for herbs and excellent selection of products! They also have produce and body care items. Friendly customer service in a beautiful downtown area

For the small town of Black Mountain this is a great grocery and health care resource for either vegans or carnivores. I always visit here when I am in Black Mountain. This past year I think it was 'Marcia' (name was on my receipt) helped me greatly recommending Slippery Elm remedy for constipation. Marcia looked very similar to Barbara O'Neill the famous Australian alternative medicine personality and her expertise was similar as well! That is saying a lot. I highly recommend her and the grocery. I'm sorry I don't live there I'd like to pick her brain on some other health topics.

Owner made remarks behind my back and tried to push her falsehoods on cooking with aluminium (guess what CDC disagrees with you, but who cares about science). Maybe focus on actually having fresh produce to sell? The store literally had one box of lemons to show for, so long for the natural foods.

The woman that assisted me there today was helpful, friendly, articulate, knowledgeable, and patient. She guided me well. I felt more assured about what to correctly select. She even gave me 2 free samples. You could tell that she thoroughly enjoys taking these products herself. I felt comfortable in here today and well guided. Thank you for the time you spent with me to answer my questions. I am just a tourist, but if I am ever in the area again, this health store would be one I would enjoy returning to.

Great selection of vitamins and supplements. They also have a great selection of health food at a very reasonable price. Staff is very friendly and down to earth.

I popped in here to grab some food as I was staying at a nearby hotel. They had a cooler with some sandwiches and fresh orange juice. Also grabbed a jar of salsa and chips. Definitely worth a stop by for its quaintness :-)

I was asked to turn off my phone in the store by the female owner today. She cited “allergic to WiFiâ€.....there is no sign on the front of the store. 3 women in my party all had their phones on and in their purses. So apparently now I have to be on the look out for Organic, Gluten Free, No GMO's, Responsibly Farmed......but also crazy as a sprayed cockroach when shopping here.
