Stayed here the night of Hurricane Helene's passage through Asheville. I really cannot overstate how thoughtful and kind all of the staff were to their guests as we all faced the storm together. We enjoyed a great breakfast by candlelight after the power went out early in the morning, and found some time to rest and relax in the beautiful common spaces on the first floor as we tried to figure out how to evacuate Asheville. Our room was spacious and well furnished, and the bed was very comfortable. We also enjoyed a nice bottle of wine purchased from the front desk on the night of our check-in, before we knew how bad the storm was going to be. Sending much love to the management, kitchen staff, and cleaning crew as they all recover from the storm. I hope to enjoy a future stay here!

We loved every second of our time at this wonderful, guest-centric boutique hotel - staff are personable and welcoming, and the quirky charm of this renovated period hotel is memorable. I am thrilled that we chose Princess Anne Hotel; it made our Asheville trip to Biltmore and the Chihuly exhibition a big success!!! Don’t miss the tasty breakfasts, “happy hour” & great location (@10 minutes to Biltmore).

This is my favorite hotel ever! I have stayed here multiple times and now I don’t want to stay anywhere else in Asheville. The staff are amazingly friendly and make you feel so welcome. The rooms are clean and beds are comfy. Breakfast in the morning is delicious and they have a great coffee bar. We enjoyed the cocktail bar in the evenings. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to downtown and a few grocery stores and food spots. This experience is so unique for a hotel and I always feel right at home. I could not recommend Princess Anne more!!

Great, comfy b&b. Breakfast delicious. Great charcuterie every night plus a free drink. Staff was very friendly, personable, and gracious. Also very close to downtown and amenities. Most Asheville sights 10 minutes or less and easy access to Blue Ridge Highway.

This hotel takes the small details to the highest point, from the free gourmet breakfast served in the private dining room to the evening happy hour with wine, beer and hors d'oeuvres. I have been here a few times and always find it like stepping back to a more genteel time when life seemed simpler. Jenny greeted me with a smile and a glass of wine upon arrival, upgraded my room to a suite and was a beautiful presence in a serene environment. The room was spacious and quiet with sweet views of the residential neighborhood surrounding the hotel. Perfect to take an evening stroll, but not close enough to downtown. Location is off the beaten path with a few restaurants within walking distance. We were served breakfast in an empty dining room by Sarah, who was super helpful, fun and relaxed. All in all I can't wait to come back!!!
Rooms: Comfy memory foam mattress, terry cloth bath robes, suites have refrigerator and stove, very private.
Nearby activities: Couple of decent restaurants a few blocks away.
Safety: Super safe residential neighborhood.
Walkability: Great for an evening stroll.
Food and drinks: Happy hour is a must!!!

I was told how lovely the Princess Anne hotel was to stay at and boy was I surprised! Not only was it lovely, but the staff were incredible and they really made you feel like you were staying in a family house. They were so gratuitously welcoming and on top of everything! My fiancée and I stayed here for a surprise engagement I had planned. Not only did they within minutes of me popping the question and coming back to the hotel they had chocolate covered strawberries(made in HOUSE!) and a bottle of champagne waiting in our room. They even asked how everything went and everything was genuine. They also gave us recommendations and provided a wonderful happy hour. The Princess Anne also has a great petite breakfast menu that anyone would be happy to start their day with! Everything was super clean and wonderfully restored. Really blown away by the amazing experience here. Thank you to the whole establishment and special shout out to Ms. Acorn and Ms. Carey!

The Princess Anne is a historic hidden gem located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of downtown Asheville.
Rooms were spotless and spacious with all necessary amenities and toiletries. Beds were extremely comfortable and bedding was lovely! I loved the attention to detail throughout the Princess Anne, the chocolate covered strawberries and the local freshly ground coffee for in room brewing were special touches.
Complimentary wine and bites are served every evening and a delicious complimentary breakfast menu is offered every morning in the dining room. Room service is available for breakfast as well.
The Princess Anne management and staff are clearly dedicated to the quality of its guest’s satisfaction and experience. Can’t wait to return! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Amazing historical B&B with lovely decor and great service from the friendly receptionists especially.Make sure you arrive between 5 and 6 for charcuterie hour!!Only issue was with the breakfast on the second day when I was served cold sausages with my omelette. I should really have said something.
