“I am visiting from out of town and I really wanted to get my hair done. JCPenney salon was the only place that could get me in at short notice. I called and got an appointment with a woman named Leigh. She seemed pretty new and has had her license for 2 years. The salon itself, while very clean, needs to improve its ambiance. Leigh did an amazing job with my hair,I asked for a partial highlight and it really came out great. If you are looking for a new stylist, I recommend that you go and see Leigh. She is a very kind person and takes her job very seriously. She asked for input from another colleague which could be seen one way or another and it turned out its because she is very competent and likes to collaborate.”
“I am reviewing the photo studio in j.c. Penney Asheville on tunnel road. Photographer did an excellent job with our group portrait for 6 people. We had a very crabby toddler and a 6 year old with us yet the photos turned out quite well. Truly a miracle! Thanks to the hard work of the photographer!”

“This is a nice Walmart, easy parking and not too crowded even for a Friday. In addition to the usual food, produce and hardware sections, the home furnishings area is very nice. I was impressed with the crafts area too. There was an organized selection of art supplies, paints, and canvases in several sizes. Also, I was greeted by an employee who took the time from stocking shelves to ask how I was doing and wish me a nice day. Made me smile. Little things, right?”

Nevertheless, I picked up a few things like instant oatmeal cup, on-the-go coffee creamer, body wash, and a hair product for my Asheville visit. Got everything I needed with no wait in self-checkout. Parking wasn't bad.”

“It's all about Wendy. She was working at returns when I realized the food processor I had just bought was actually not the one on sale. We went together to see what was up. The one on sale was a different brand and all sold out. I said: Well, I'll take the refund and see how much it is on Amazon. She countered with: We (Target) price-match! She looked it up on Amazon. It was &15 less on Amazon. I agreed that the price was right for the brand I wanted and we had a win-win situation. Where I came from, something like this would NEVER happen. Asheville Target has a gem, with Wendy as an employee.”
“Saturday Shopping went well today! This is an organized Walmart and pretty clean for the most part. The staff seem very nice and happy. It's always a plus when shopping for items that you need. “Anything you are looking for you can find at this store! It's two levels so there's plenty of souvenirs, outdoor activity clothing (hiking, fishing, skiing), books and food. They have an area in the back with choose your own candy and they have all the old school candies that we grew up with. Staff was very helpful. Slightly expensive but everything is excellent and name brand quality so you get what you pay for. They had so many options.”
